@tomassi I wasn't aware HR was already on PS+, but for those who didn't redeem it or own it, it's a third game. Maybe the first time a game was offered twice on the same system
This version of DBH adds Heavy Rain so they technically added 2 games. But people will complain it's a PS3 title after complaining Sony stopped PS3 on Plus.
Don't have DBH so that's nice I guess but I have FIFA 17 so comparing to PES 19 would've been interesting. Played Heavy Rain on PS3 so not sure I'd play that again.
@WillMerfi a lot of the ones complaining that this is the WORST. MONTH. EVER. are the same ones who redeem every game and stack their subs out to 2025. PS+ has something like 36 million subs and rising. Nobody's putting the wallet away yet.
Seems like this is pretty much how GTA5/RDR2 works. As long as you travel normally there aren't too many load screens, but when you start jumping around you are outside the bubble.
Didn't MS say certain computers with Win10 would eliminate the long startups. Maybe when it was new, but once you had a year's worth of updates and added apps/programs people saw it went back to waiting... waiting...
While other factors may have had as much impact, opening what was once a industry trade show - where they would essentially show their stuff to a receptive audience - to the public basically turned it into a ComicCon-type experience where the public was indifferent to all but the most-hyped. Maybe they could refocus on smaller devs and indie games and leave the the big fish alone.
I don't get it, I thought they were remaking FF7. Sounds like an entirely new game with FF characters they're calling FF7. Weird that it's taking so long. It's not like they had to write a story; it was already there. Less interested more and more.
@viciousarcanum criterion by another name. Personally the PS3 games I'd rate highest are Carbon and the Run (gasp). The Run got a lot of flack for the non-racing bits but otherwise it was good. The rest didn't appeal to me for one reason or another.
@viciousarcanum Criterion had it and did new versions of Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted and their new game is Burnout Lite sans crash mode. Seemingly as out of ideas as Ghost.
@LightingThor thought I read somewhere R* lost the copyright patent for Agent after renewing it like 4 times. Midnight Club will be the next to disappear.
The easiest thing to do for yearly games is add the year at the end. Sports titles have known this and even though yearly editions are perceived as basically the same game they still sell as they're not making it more than it is.
Yearly gun-fests would do well to emulate that model instead of pretending to reinvent themselves with little to back it up.
It's not the devs responsibility to match their game to your ability. It's your responsibility to match your ability to their game. In the last two weeks I've read stories on here complaining that one game was too easy and EXPECTING a hard mode to be added, to this where people want a game to be easier cause it's too hard. Wahwahwah (wipes tears)
Bravo to Ubisoft devs standing up and saying "no, we like our game as is." Suck it up and learn the game, or if your good grind away. Or play something else.
So in three years we'll get the YT making of vid where Sony isn't impressed then they come up with something mind-blowing... oh snap, that was "God of War"
Or the disaster apocalypse expose where Sony isn't impressed then they come up with something bland and mediocre... hold up... that was "Anthem".
Pretty sure Sony's got a few years to cover it either way. And I don't think Bluepoint is interested in being a Sony-owned studio or they would have been bought by now.
So with a game like GTA5 online that was not updated after a certain point, how would that be cross-play with the next gen. Can GTA5 PS3 users play online with PS4 users. Seems alot of content would be unavailable. And I agree that fast SSD could put slow HDD users at a disadvantage if they're paired together
I'm definitely a "50%+ off" purchase with this a year later. I thought the first two were okay but not fantastic. Don't think I came close to finishing either. The DS version allowed you to create your own tracks but was a DS game
Might see NFS2019, but if Ghost fails to deliver on try #4 then that's two entire system generations that EA hasn't capitalized on with BlackBox, SMS and Criterion and now Ghost all underperforming. How does EA still have $$ at this point?
Definitely a wait until complete scenario. Pointless of them to announce now as their timeline puts it squarely mid-PS5 cycle. Announced two generations early.
I'd say for me that I agree with the author for the most part and would add that I generally stay away from anything less that a 7.5 rating. And watch multiple sites for an average. I'm not interested in merely "good" for my $$. I expect more from the money-hungry publishers.
Says BC with PS4 but wouldn't be surprised if you need PS+ sub to enable it
Going with described SSD will probably mean comparatively low capacity (1Tb) but given increasing game sizes, 2Tb should be the minimum which will be prohibitively expensive
Dear Three Fields Entertainment, This is what happens when you have a small studio with a smaller budget and Big Game dreams. Burnout is a Big game and deserves the budget and talent afforded as such. This is an embarrassment to your history. I would love a new racing game, but I'll be passing this by.
Sincerely, a Burnout fan
PS - I'd have expected a lawsuit from EA but given their penchant for releasing crap you're probably going to be okay

Re: Soapbox: I'm Collecting Every NFL Game Ever Released on PlayStation
Had NFL 2K3 and while it wasn't as pretty as Madden (though it looked pretty darn good if you didn't know better) it was a pretty solid game.
Re: Activision Looking into Possibly Making New Crash and Spyro Content, More Retro Remakes
Played both Crash and Spyro remasters. That's enough of those two. Get the rights to Jak & Daxter and Sly Cooper and we'll talk.
Re: PS Plus August 2019 PS4 Games Announced
Decent choices. I have Wipeout and may try SE4. But good for the ones interested.
Re: Feature: Is EA Access Worth It on PS4?
@get2sammyb never been a year since the PS2 I wanted multiple EA titles outside of sports and NFS. Could happen but I doubt it
Re: Feature: Is EA Access Worth It on PS4?
For what I see, it'd be cheaper to buy the stuff you want on sale so no. Unless you like trying a lot of the same thing like FIFA 14-19
Re: PS4 Firmware Update 7.00 Beta Brings Bigger Parties, Better Voice Chat, and Update Improvements
@redd214 @3Above whoa totally missed it.
Re: PS4 Firmware Update 7.00 Beta Brings Bigger Parties, Better Voice Chat, and Update Improvements
What happened to name changes? Is that still a thing?
Re: Bus Simulator Makes a Stop on PS4 from 17th September
A lot of these titled "simulator" games only release in Europe so not much hope for Canada. But we get "goat simulator" so there's that.
Re: PS4 Firmware Update 6.72 Available to Download Right Now
If pointless articles like this are what it takes to keep the lights on, maybe they should be turned off.

"LaPlayStation" or "PSV" given that the Vita was never really referred to as such

It has to be evolutionary because it takes 5years to make a game you'd only get 1 game out of a system's game engine

This game idea should've been left in the dumpster along with the titular leisure suit.

The only game of his I have is Rayman Legends from PS+ and I don't think I've played it yet. None of his other games interest me really.
Re: Long Anticipated PS4 Exclusive WiLD Re-Emerges in New Art
Given how long BG&E is taking, I don't even remember this. I'll give it a solid 'meh' score in a few years. Don't know why he has such a reputation.
