PS Plus' free PS4 games for August 2020 have been revealed.

Sony has announced the new PS Plus lineup today over on the PlayStation Blog. The first is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, and the second is Fall Guys, the 60-player battle royale platformer. What's more, the Activision FPS will be available early; you can download and start playing it from tomorrow, 28th July.

Interestingly, this will be the first time an indie title has launched as a PS Plus game for quite some time. Fall Guys releases on 4th August, which also happens to be the same day PS Plus will be refreshed. It's a perfect game to launch on PS Plus, as it relies heavily on having a decent amount of players logged in. You can learn more about Fall Guys in an upcoming interview, in which we discuss this announcement, post-launch plans, and whether Craig Charles would be up for running commentary. For now, check out our Fall Guys hands on impressions.

As for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, we enjoyed revisiting it in our 7/10 review, describing it as a "welcome trip down memory lane":

It may have ditched the revolutionary multiplayer offering and Spec Ops mode, but what has been brought into the modern era manages to stand on its own two feet. It still suffers from design choices of old, but this is an intense, enjoyable single player campaign that's more than worth your time.
