Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 389

Continuing my task of going back to the games I started then ignored/neglected or forgot about. So:
Laser League: have a few games - mainly against AI opponents coz don't think anybody else in the world plays this anymore.
Sound Shapes: last few death mode stages - Damn these are frustrating!
Dead Nation: continuing playthrough on Grim.
Bioshock Remastered: Maybe start collectable run.
...and hopefully some more Zombie Army Trilogy if my mate Dodge turns up online.

Have a good weekend and happy gaming all.

Despite the overwhelmingly negative reviews I will probably download and have a run through the wrestling, purely to see if I can unlock Rowdy Roddy Piper and Bret the Hitman Hart and other icons from my nostalgia fogged brain!
As for CoD, no just no. I have so many of these from Sony over the past couple of years that I will never play.
And, as @naruball already mentions, can't play the only one I would actually be interested in coz no PS5s round here

I'm gonna be continuing with Hellblade & Hollow Knight. Occasionally having a crack at Dead Cells and dog fights on SW Squadrons - multiplayer not usually my thing but had a few enjoyable attempts so far this week.

Oh, and hopefully watching it come a little closer to home, COME ON ENGLAND

Have a good one all.

No Sony, where is my real present.
...
Oh.
Well.
Guess it's the thought that counts.

I didn't want the games from the previous rumour. I don't want these more.
A good month to plug away at the never ending backlog I suppose

I recently took stock and counted how many ps+ games that I have added to library over the years are things I would actually want to play. Just writing a list on a post it note I ran out of space - it was easily 20-30! So my backlog is plenty. I will now probably add both ps4 offerings to that list, just wish I had more time to play em.
Happy gaming all

One more trophy to get the plat in Oxenfree so probably will start at that. Just did the mean playthrough and quite enjoyed picking all worst responses to get everyone to hate me!
Also continuing Uncharted 4 - just started chapter 18 so hopefully get towards the end this weekend. Honestly not as gripped by it as I thought I'd be, maybe too much hype and expectation going in.
Happy gaming and good weekend all.

@Arugula
Stop debating start playing. I did about three weeks back and couldn't stop, recently completed and now in a post GoW lull!
Prob gonna try get back to some stuff I started then neglected myself: Kentucky route zero; hollow knight. Also gonna start concrete genie to see what that's all about.
Have a good one all.

Tempted by Doom Eternal but think Civ 6 at around a tenner plus a bag of chips is just too good to miss, May scratch an itch I haven't had for a while. But again no good for backloggery!

I also didn't make the debate team - too busy focussed on video games (not really. I went to a poor people school. We didn't have one, why debate when a slap would suffice)

Now that it's gone I just wanted to say: 2020 was a dick, hope I don't see it again. Thanks to all push square staff and forum members for entertaining me through the dark times. Hopefully there may be some ps5 not bought by scalpers this year so I can move to the new gen. Happy 2021 all

Think I learned my lesson a few years back realising I was in a warframe & latest fifa version loop - meaning I missed out on all kinds of gaming experience. These days I tend to have one or two main games on the go plus smaller/indie stuff for shorter sessions. But I suppose there isn't really a right way to game, do what you enjoy and be happy, if it starts to feel like work or too much of a grind - sack it off.
