PS Store sales have got bigger and better over the years, and at this point they rival Steam’s infamous promotions. Sony, historically, always goes hard over the New Year period, and it’s launched another gigantic January sale this week, including over 1,000 items in total. But did you know there are a handful of titles available for pennies?
Timber Tennis Versus, for example – a super simplistic arcade sports games – can be bought for £0.33/$0.45, while Dynamite Fishing: World Games – an explosive alternative to a popular pastime – can be had for £0.79/$0.99 if you’re a PS Plus subscriber. Puzzle platformer Hopiko costs £0.57/$0.69, and you can get both Party Crashers and Party Golf as a double-pack for as low as £0.94/$1.19.
What else? Well, if you’re willing to spend a little more, then the surprisingly excellent Riddled Corpses EX is available for £1.59/$1.99 – we actually really recommend this one – and retro side-scroller My Night Job can be bought for as little as £1.29/$1.59. It just goes on and on: entertaining indie RPG Cat Quest is £1.99/$2.59, destructive racer ONRUSH is £2.24/$2.49, and sci-fi horror SOMA is £2.39/$2.99.
Obviously check out the PS Store for all of the deals, but we reckon you could easily pick up ten or so decent games for under £20/$20 – and if you buy your PS Store credit from a retailer like ShopTo in the UK, you’ll actually only be forking out less than £18 in total. Let us know if you’ve spotted any other irresistible discounts on the PS Store.

The Hotline Miami games and collection are a good price and haven’t been on sale for a long time.
i'm using chrome and the ps store refuses to load prices and add to basket tabs..the new version is a downgrade.
I finding it unbelievable that you can't sort games by price anylonger on the new PC/mobile store. Honestly, I simply gave up browsing these deals because of that.
Yoo cat quest is good, I have this on phone but I think I'm gonna buy it on ps4 since I don't have to worry about my phone battery on console.
Edit: Also getting duke nukem 3D since it's only $4, and blaster master zero 2 for $5.
@fchinaski The new web store is really barebone.
Cat Quest is so much more fun than you'd probably expect. Well worth it at that price <3
Was gonna pounce on to shout praises for Cat Quest but looks like several of you have already experienced this pawesome and meowvelous game. Fun and charming 8-10 hour action rpg.
Soma should be last on your list for games to play during a pandemic.
Was already looking at hotline Miami and cat quest, now also riddled corpses... thanks for the heads up. Also Sine Mora Ex & Sexy Brutale possibly priced to good to miss. Merry Xmas
@fchinaski Use PS Prices. You can add games to your wishlist, and will be notified when they are on sale. It's such a great site!
Riddled Corpses eX is really fun.
The Amnesia Collection is like a pound if you have Plus too.
Soma was such a great sci fi story. One of those narratives that has vividly stuck with me even though I played it years ago.
@Jimmer-jammer Same bro, amazing atmosphere and sense of desolation. And that ending yo...
Question to Cat Quest fans - should I play CQ2 (which is on Apple Arcade) without playing the first one (which isn't)?
I'm just happy that Psychonauts finally went on sale.
What it the game of that "banner"?
Soma for $2 should be criminal lol. One of my favorite little horror games. It actually makes you think.
I had a look through the games and the Talos Principle is 2.99. I highly recommend this game for that price, it's a bit like portal and the Turing test but way more brain ending. out of the 70-odd games I've finished this year, that game was hands down the best game I've played!
@Voltan no, play the first one first 👍👍
Riddled corpses Ex and cat quest are well worth it at that price. Haven’t tried the others.
Just bought the tennis game after a quick look. Hopefully it’s akin to smash court tennis on ps1 and everybody’s golf.
Edit: nothing like the above mentioned, but a fun (if repetitive) little reaction game. Definitely worth 33p, especially if you’re a trophy hunter as otherwise there is no clear target or goal and it’s more a 2 player game.
@zebric21 Try signing out and back in. Worked for me every time so far. Presumably some kind of cookie issue.
Loved Soma, if you haven't played it, do it
Just picked up Dragons Dogma and all it's dlc for under $10. I never played it, but heard good things.
Most of these games don't show up if you try and filter them by price which is annoying, you have to manually search or scroll through the list.
Donut County is £2.99 which I recommend. I also picked up Demon's Tilt for £8.49.
No doubt I'll be drunkenly buying some Ratalaika games for easy trophies over the Xmas break 😆
Onrush voor 2,50? What happened to that game?
Some additions I find recommendable:
