8 PS Plus Extra, Premium Games Announced for June 2026

FF16, baby!!!!

KCD is a must play if you haven't.

Sweet! Blades of Fire is exactly the kind of game I have ps plus for.

Nice month, saves me spending money on Sonic and i always wanted to try KCD but dunno if the game was for me, so now i can try and buy the Royal Edition if i like it.

None for me sadly, still got to finish 007 and batman anyways. I'd love to play kingdom come but the difficulty puts me off plus being a father i do not have enough time to get into it and learn, shame no easy mode for us oldies lol

FF16 is fantastic (apart from the unwieldy framerate). Ignore the naysayers!

Eff me.... was stoked with the essential games, as they were not on my wishlist and therefore no more backlog games.
But this has just added 4 games to the backlog. And extra/premium backlog games me serious anxiety, as they have an unknown time limit on them.
I will never get to play GOW Ragnorok or LOUpt2 or Cyberpunk or Witcher 3 or Returnal or Resident Evil 4 for instance as that I bought them along with another 200 bought games not played and 300+ essentially games not played across ps3 to ps5

Pretty good, three games I'll play, FF16, Blades and when I'm particularly bored Farming Sim.

Really strong month. Didn't personally care for FFXVI mostly due to the run time not matching the gameplay depth in my opinion but it's still a fun romp if you mainly focus on the story.

I’m so happy that people are going to get to experience FF16 for themselves. Please give it a chance.

I was one of the doubters who got converted. Really enjoyed my time with it.

Do you need to have played previous life is strange to understand double exposure?

When you said big ones I thought you meant in terms of premium. I just want more classic retro games.

Very solid lineup for June. Will give Double Exposure a go as I’ve been waiting for that one to hit the service. If you haven’t played FFXVI that was a pretty good game. Same for Sonic x Shadow Generations as a platformer.

Last few years we got the monthly refresh and we got 2/3 extra titles that came to extra as part of the days of play event and they were usually bangers, another crabs treasure and dredge coming to mind as examples, disappointing we didnt get anything as part of that this year.

Bog standard solid enough offering this month without being anything great. Blades of fire the only one that I'm definitely going to play, that's a prime ps+/gamepass title. Few others i may be half tempted to play but never likely to actually play them.

Well this month is a total non event for me.

Blades of Fire is immensely underrated. It has flaws, but it’s a damn good game overall.

Sonic and Life is Strange for me... Not sure if FF 16 is for me

I saw Black Desert and immediately thought Crimson Desert, and for a second was astounded that PS was able to get such a successful game that quickly. But I'm not familiar with Black Desert - is it related to Black Desert Online?

Happy for FF16, Blades of Fire and Kingdom Come. They're all games I've had an itch to try but unlikely to ever bug.

Sonic X Shadow is a nice get too, but I played rhe original Generations and don't care for Shadow. My son might want to check it out though.

@pyrrhic_victory I believe Black Desert is just Black Desert Online with a name change. Everyone still calls it 'Online' but Pearl Abyss refers to it as simply 'Black Desert' in all of the official media.

Blades of Fire is one I've nearly bought multiple times so I'm happy to see it here!

KCD is an all timer. I've been championing this since it first released. Anyone who skipped straight to the sequel should give this a go too! Its a little janky in some aspects but no way near as much as people say.

This is a great month, although I already own KCD and have yet to play it, and I already played FF16. But I’m pleased to have LiS Double Exposure, since I’ve been meaning to get to that.

Sonic X Shadow Generations (despite its still weird, bad, and questionable subtitle) is a top tier Sonic game and 3D platformer, deserving and even warranting an actual purchase over subscribed streaming.
That said the Shadow Generations side (not the popularly wrongly used "half" terming people use) is the better game of the two too, regardless of what anyone says.
