@Neither_scene There’s also the fact that downloading anything pirated carries risk and also these games are hitting 100GB+ and torrenting that is a ballache and not worth the effort compared to legitimate sources. There’s crackers out there claiming victory over Denuvo but it requires you to turn off secure memory and I cannot stress enough how bad an idea that is if you care about security at all.

I did The Lion King through RetroAchievements instead and it’s hard as balls. Didn’t play Aladdin yet though!

Darkslides were in Skate 3. The fact it took 3 seasons to add them is mental. I just do not understand why they couldn’t have put the resources into a paid game with a real structure and progression.

Unfortunately it’s the same structure as eFootball. Which is irritating because that game genuinely has more fun gameplay than FIFA but there’s nothing to do. This will be the same.

@ApostateMage Try it now because this is the way the game was always meant to be played. Give Ubisoft their due, these patches are absolutely revolutionising their older games without making you pay for a remaster. I know the multiplayer is divisive but it’s perfectly playable solo and I assume there will be a hell of a lot of people returning to it now.

Personally I love how chill these games are. There are a million high-octane driving games, my favourite bit is just cruising around the map.

Utterly bizarre. Been using a DS4 for years with PC only needing DS4Windows with older non-Steam games. The DualSense drivers I’ve had no issue with. This is extra money for a cable which used to come with controllers as standard.

If they don’t release their live service games on PC then the entire idea is doomed. Therefore I support them not coming to PC.

Holy f**k this is good news. I really hope more people revisit this one and realise that after the fixes it’s genuinely one of the best games in the franchise.

@johncalmc I don’t understand why they would put so much effort into the visual and sound design and then make the actual game be you running around opening boxes while getting shot at. That’s the gameplay loop.

The use of that comparison shows that Digital Foundry are no longer to be trusted. That’s blatantly misleading advertising on Sony’s behalf to sell Pro consoles. Guess that’s what happens when basically all websites are owned by the same people, this, DF, Eurogamer, IGN, VGC and RPS are all part of the same conglomerate.

Played a bit of the server slam. It’s a game that doesn’t know what it is. Why put that much effort into lore and style and all that, then introduce the world’s least engaging gameplay loop? That UI is AWFUL too. It’s not a game made for people to play. It’s a game for journalists to look at.

That is bafflingly terrible. How much did this cost? It’s genuinely an SNL skit. The flat colour and atrocious framing just make it even less exciting.

Genuinely didn’t mind Gotham Knights at all. Clearly not as good as Arkham and a very by the numbers game but structurally it was fun.

It’s dead. Insane price for a library that underwhelming.

It’s just not what anybody really wanted. It’s a shame because the gameplay is good and the multiplayer works really well… just that everything else isn’t great. If they released Skate 2 and 3 again but let you run around with 100 people in multiplayer then it would sell by the boatload.

@Gaia093 There are two reasons I don’t drink anymore. Or gamble. Or do drugs. Or anything that could result in a harmful pattern of addictive behaviour. One is that my brain is incredibly susceptible to addiction because of my medical history. The other is that I grew up in an area where I watched deprived people lose everything because of those very vices. Creating something purposefully addictive that is also designed to extract money from addicts is Biblically evil stuff. The sooner regulation is brought in, the better.

Round the corner from my place is a bookies, pub and 4 different takeaway places. I would rather spend every penny I have between those, dying prematurely of an alcohol and chips n curry sauce fuelled heart explosion and leaving behind extensive gambling debts, than ever getting into the gacha life. It’s like the world’s most embarrassing addiction, imagine explaining to a support group that you lost everything chasing an anime girl with fully 3D modelled toes, and it doesn’t even have any monetary value. At least if you win on the puggy you can get a round in.

Without a physical copy of the game included is absolutely batsh*t insane. Paying for the privilege of tat. @The-punishr Guns sort of make the gameplay a bit harder to nail. Syndicate works because the guns are all a bit crap and the hidden blade is still viable but as soon as silencers are invented then you’d think the Assassins would just start packing heat. Although now I think about it, AC does Splinter Cell in Vietnam sounds kinda cool. The larger issue would be that Kissinger is the most obvious Templar of all time but he’s a bit recently deceased to slander 😂

It was announced way too early. It’s an interesting premise but I would prefer more city based games, I miss that sort of virtual tourism that takes a back seat in the newer titles.

Nacon games are always a bit sh*t but the industry would be worse off without them. AA games have a place in the industry and they’re one of the biggest names in that space for a reason.

Sonic is definitely in the ‘throw sh*t at the wall and see what sticks’ doldrums at the moment. Frontiers is a downright strange game that tries 50 million ideas, there’s bizarrely Spongebob in the racing game, that weird murder mystery game etc… I’m not sure what they’re doing.

I got this impression too. All PlayStation fans should be aghast if this comes to pass, we know what happens with a lack of competition even just in the gaming industry with FIFA, COD etc instantly getting worse when the competition died out. And of course the WWE after WCW died. Competition is a good thing.
