I’d kill for a whole game of Wii Cycling, used to love that on Resort. I honestly miss motion controls (don’t do VR really), games like this just aren’t as interesting with static controls.

I appreciate that they add things like the Qashqai cause it’s a car that people drive. They just need the events to actually make use of them.

This really did take an awful lot of work then, they should be commended for that. Let’s hope that the changes make a better package, not all remakes are better than the originals after all.

Hoping for some deeper cuts. A couple of meme characters like Big Wheel or Rocket Racer would be funny but if I had free rein I’d stick Chase from the Runaways in there. A more realistic choice would be The Hood, lots of potential for moves and he was just in Ironheart so more people know who he is.

Bizarre how much it does look like Uncharted considering Mafia DE and 2 essentially sh*t themselves when you even attempt to interact with their physics engines. The parkour looks fairly decent too. Excited for this because I do love the series.

@PerpetualBoredom Not at all, Ghost pretty rigidly sticks to the formula with the map markers and the stealth gameplay. I just didn’t click with the game as much as Assassin’s Creed because it lacks my favourite aspect of those games - the digital tourism.

Good game. Just not any better than your average Ass Creed.

I’m generally ‘meh’ about this stuff because ultimately it just makes me wait to bother playing these games if there’s going to be content added years after launch. Played GoW Ragnarok, enjoyed it, dived into Valhalla afterwards because it was there. Doubt I would have returned if I’d played the base game at launch.

The first one was not good. This does not look good. I’ll possibly catch it if it’s ever shown on terrestrial TV as I doubt I’ll go out my way to watch it.

It’s just surely a slam dunk that seems to be impossible for writers to get right. It’s Da Vinci Code with stabby bits. That’s not impossible.

Oh look exactly what I’ve been saying for a couple years now. Games are a business, generative AI is tiny overheads, terrible quality which is the piggies in charge’s wet dream. All storefronts will be unusable unless generative AI is instantly banned by Sony/Steam/Nintendo, which they won’t do because the money men want to incorporate it into their own games. At this rate we’ll end up back at the Nintendo Seal of Quality.

@ShogunRok Not that fussed then, the shooting gameplay was brilliant in the opening office mission but was incredibly monotonous by the end!

I dunno, I loved the imsim parts of the game but if this strips those out then what you’re left with is a fairly uninteresting shooter.

@whitejessegpfc @AldusRavencorn Honestly, fingers crossed that 2K are making a World Cup game as the rumour mill has been saying they’re plugging away at a football game. I’ve been playing the 2010 game on the PS3 and you just got so much more fun out of the individual games than the modes added to existing FIFAs. With the sheer amount of classic content that 2K put into the NBA games too, I’d kill for recreations of older World Cups with the Eras presentation.

@Medic_alert I got so bored with FC25 that I redownloaded eFootball and saw just how dead the game is. The game having Nakamura isn’t enough to justify the lack of any content whatsoever. PES 21 with the latest Fanurex mod is the way to go.

To be fair, they’ve highlighted a lot of my issues with FC25’s gameplay. I very much hope this is good, but I swore not to get this year’s one after 25 ending up crap after the first couple of patches. Who am I kidding, it comes out near my birthday so I’ll be complaining about the gameplay soon enough!

@Medic_alert The PS2 files are decent for real club names and stuff but the PC mods are brilliant, look up the Original Season mod, it takes the gameplay but adds a lot more details like the boots, balls, stadia etc to make it more of an authentic experience. Although I still play the PS2 version emulated cause there’s RetroAchievements for it now, loving the challenge of really playing every mode and not just being addicted to Master League.

@Medic_alert If you have a PC there’s a million option files for PES 6 covering loads of seasons. One of the best things about PES is how easy it is to mod.

Bit of a rubbish cover to be honest. They just look like two guys, and this is the series that had Jack Wilshere on the box. You’d think that them getting away from FIFA would allow them to be more creative but the series is actually even more visually corporate since the split.

Emmys are a joke. HBO paid for noms and apparently they all went on this and not House of the Dragon. Pedro being nominated for ‘lead role’ over Diego Luna is laughable.

The mission with the shipment container is absolutely brilliant. It’s a great, well made game, that I still can’t decide if it means to be as critical of SWAT and their superiors as it is.

This is a lighthearted dig at the fact Guitar Hero killed Pro Skater. It was also in 1+2. Iron Galaxy with a truly pathetic statement there. I guess Underground is definitely not getting remastered if they draw the line at jokes like this!

Glad I beat Jedi Survivor now! Great game but a bit technically shoddy to the point it did affect my playthrough.

That’s very cool to be fair. This year’s game was really quite bad on the gameplay front though, I’m very very wary about this one. Although if they bother making any Heroes for the Scottish league then I’m there. Nakamura’s in PES, they have no excuse.

Port Horizon 4!!! It’s true though, competition is dead, racing games are not where they used to be. I’ve been playing through the NFS games for a solid year off and on, and getting to ProStreet made me realise that as much as we love the PS3 era, a lot of great series did fall off a cliff during those years.
