Forza Horizon

The next entry in the Forza Horizon series hasn't been announced yet, but there's already a strong chance we now know the setting for the sixth instalment.

According to a now-deleted Instagram post from car import company Cult and Classic, a member of the Forza Horizon team visited them to take pictures of Kei vehicles for the next game. This kind of car, generally manufactured by Honda, Suzuki, and Daihatsu, is native to Japan.

"We have Cody here, from @ForzaHorizonOfficial, shooting cars for the next installation in the series," the deleted post read. "As there are no late-model Kei cars in America, he has flown out from the states to use our cars as the basis for their digital versions." This has fuelled the idea Forza Horizon 6 will be set in Japan.

Much like the Assassin's Creed series, Japan is a setting many Forza Horizon fans have wanted the franchise to use for years now. Following the PS5 port of Forza Horizon 5, there's a strong chance the sixth entry will be on PlayStation day and date with Xbox Series X|S and PC.

The next Forza Horizon title is expected to launch in 2026, as teased by Xbox boss Phil Spencer earlier this year. For the 25th anniversary of Xbox, there'll be "a new Fable, the next Forza, Gears of War: E-Day, and the return of a classic that’s been with us since the beginning". That "classic" game is expected to be Halo, and rumours suggest the series will also be ported to PS5 at some point.
