Publisher 505 Games has announced Puzzle Quest: Immortal Edition, a definitive version of the match-three puzzler.
It's coming to both PS5 and PS4 later this month on 18th September, revealed in the brief announcement trailer:
The Immortal Edition combines previous adventures into one package, including Challenge of Warlords, Revenge of the Plague Lord, and The Legend Returns.
Scaled up to 4K resolution, this version also adds new content — a brand new character class as well as over 40 new items.

Puzzle Quest is a match-three puzzle game with RPG elements layered on top. You have to match shapes to do battle and progress through each adventure.
It's a surprisingly deep experience, with a quest system, equippable gear, allies to recruit, and plenty more.
With three adventures rolled into one, this seems like quite a robust package for puzzle fans.

Such a classic game, really brings back fond memories.
Love me some Puzzle Quest, but it's definitely a portable game.
Wow. Haven't thought about thus one in awhile. I had a phase where I was playing all of these games I could find. I think my favorite was "Puzzle Hero" but so many of them had similar names.
They are very much point and click games though, not made for controllers. Maybe if it comes to Switch 2 for like $10 I'll finally give mouse mode a try.
I loved the first one. Not to be negative, but will this be infested with microtransactions?
Oooh, definitely interested in this. I played through Puzzle Quest 3 and thought it was pretty good.
Every 4 years or so I'm suddenly in the mood for one of these types of games.
Id love this but on the switch. Definitely a game I'd prefer to play in portable mode.
@Tyrii I don't remember there was any MTX in any Puzzle Quest. So because it will be paid game, I don't think they break rules and add MTXes. Don't you confuse it with Gems of War (F2P, but lots of mtx)?
The pull of nostalgia for this is too strong!

@djlard - Puzzle Quest 3 is F2P and is full of MTX.

I'm still waiting for Puzzle Quest Galactrix 2.
I wonder what the platinum trophy looks like for this? I assume there's only one for this entire game.
@djlard Puzzle Quest 3 had lots of microtransactions. Never played it. It's unfortunate.
