I think what some people have failed to realise is that the PS6 is going to be exorbitantly expensive if trends stay as they are, and that there comes a point where the potential gains made from new, expensive hardware just are not worth the price. Plus Steam games are so, so much cheaper than PS5 games and can also be acquired from a million other sources, Humble Bundles and so forth. Emulators too. I personally have no use for this but I can see it being a great first step towards Valve carving out more of a space in hardware, they just need to get it into retailers rather than direct order in my opinion. For enthusiasts, it’s ok ordering from Valve themselves but I genuinely think if you had these in the Argos catalogue or in a John Lewis window, they look nifty enough and are easy enough to explain in a small display to catch general consumers’ eyes.

I find it OK. The skating is good but the off board stuff is not. The multiplayer lobby structure is actually very good, it’s nice skating around with randoms. Soundtrack is great too. The missions aren’t very good however, the monetisation is a bit crap too and the dialogue is pretty turgid. The removal of the Hall of Meat and the bone breaks and stuff removes about 90% of the fun of Skate 3 too. I dunno, it’s alright but it just isn’t as good as the older games.

Honestly if they kept this stuff to mobile, developed by the Chinese devs, and actually focused on making quality PS5 first party games themselves then everything would be fine.

Not a great month personally but I’ll probably play Still Wakes the Deep.

I liked XDefiant. Genuinely brilliant shooter, crazy quality for a F2P and that was its issue, it was hard to see how it made money. And the name was awful.

I hope they do 3 even though it’s completely different. It’s still up there for me as maybe my favourite Trails game.

It has a great soundtrack, I just don’t really see where the game is. I guess we’ll see.

@Dubplant I’ve played a bit of 4 but having to do licenses again mean I usually can’t be arsed with the second game on the system.

I love the Espace F1, what an absolutely bizarre car. Read a Top Gear article about it a while back and thought it was mental. Gran Turismo 2 is honestly not a game that I’ve played much of though, I’ve played a ton of 1, 3 and 5 but barely any of the ones in between. Currently addicted to Forza Motorsport 3 for my racing fix after coming away from 2 thinking it honestly might just be up there with Gran Turismo.

@cainhurst94 There comes a point when a decade of bad luck might just signal incompetence. I like the original Uncharted trilogy but I guess we know where the cringier lines came from when her only credits since have been a Battlefield game everybody’s memory holed and Forspoken.

Needs to be on PC this year. A monitor is the best way to play it anyway with how important timing is.

Not to be a swinging brick but I feel like they’re acting as if this is a bigger deal than it is. Embracer really did just buy a bunch of D tier properties.

They should just roll out Classic on consoles, stops the massive dump of content and means they can control the curve. Also would be cool getting to experience the expansions like new. I dipped in years ago and played a bit when MoP was the newest expansion but didn’t have the money to pay a subscription.

It’s come such a long way, huge congrats to the team. I use it for all PS2 games, my phat is just slightly tatty now after all these years and I’d rather not wear out the laser. Plus playing it bumped up to 4K with a good CRT filter on an HDR monitor is glorious.

@CDCYPER00 I guess they could go down the Moira route and have her absorb health but that could work as a tank or healer. She’s strong and a bit of a beast in the comics so it would be nice to see her show that here rather than the weird Kitty Pryde clone we got in the movies.

That requires you to put stock in Metacritic. The games are generally ‘better’ but I do miss a lot of the smaller gems we got back in the day I never would have played otherwise. I guess they’re just on the Extra tier now. My first game on the PS4 was Transformers Devastation because of PS Plus!

Gutted, Just Cause 2 is up there with the most fun games I’ve played. 3 was a bit of a step down but still fun with the wing suit. 4…. not great. So I’d have mixed feelings with a 5 anyway but they’d have to recapture the 2nd game’s magic.
