Question. Are there really that many casual gamers than gamers who love gfx and performance? And if casual gamers are such a huge base shouldnt the cheaper current xbox one s be selling truckloads? I believe the power of the word on the street is more powerful than pricing. I mean stadia is cheap as chips and was meant to be disruptive but well we know stadia is well dead in the water. As is the cheap disruptive ouya. Im guessing the war will be hugely influenced by the pricing between xbox x and PS5 disc version... And games. Saying that I'd find it hard to switch brands cos ps plus library and my community of friends have invested hugely into PlayStation. If PlayStation can announce all ps4 games run on PS5 with enhanced option like ps4 to ps4 pro... Wow that'd be like awesome!

Could it be many people are Marvelled or super-heroed out? I'm looking for deep new stories! New worlds!

I love this game. I'm one of those gamers who love revisiting my 'comfort' fav games with smoother and better gfx, and updated UX. More than happy to revisited Witcher 3 in the Ray-tracing console era!

If the remake is like Modern Warfare focusing on just visuals I'm lukewarm. But if it's updated controls and gfx like shadow of colusses I'm all in! I just hope the framerate is silky smooth like solid 30fps or 60fps. Can't be bothered by half measures - I'm looking at you borderlands 3!

Heck if YouTube on my smartphone can stream to TV via my WiFi. I can't see why PS5 can't stream to PSVR2 also using WiFi. Create PSVR2 with WiFi tech instead of Bluetooth tech and we can have super fast streaming! And please let me use PSVR2 like a normal TV without switching on the console. If PSVR2 had webOS installed on it... Woohoo I could watch netflix, Disney, hulu, YouTube, etc. Maybe provide a simpler Tv style remote so we don't need to turn on PS5. PSVR2 should become the next replacement for TV. Portable Imax quality vision in your bag! Why not allow hotspotting from smartphone to VR visors so we can watch on the go?

Looking awesome. Yeah DA2 was cheap but inquisition more than made up for it. Love the worldlore and combat in this game. And if the game is made with as much passion as the amazing concept art for DA3 I have huge hope for this game!

@nathanSF it's just fab Sony is providing us that option. I think if they went all digital I'd probably wait a couple of years before diving in next gen. I'm having a clear out and it's great to sell a dozen or so games to make some money back. Haha suck on that subscription digital only models!

@PupTwilight I just hope the game is as slick as the trailer. The animation, action and the way you travel in that game looks unique. I love it when games Devs improve and game mechanics and make they even more seamless when we play.

@KidBoruto not sure where I got the avatar from! I was watching so much anime back then its all become a blue now yeah I'm the same I love games on sale! But there might be the odd game that gets me to fork out fill price.

I've given up and can't catch up with all these new methods of service etc nowadays. So... I've decided to buy less games and focus on one or two, whereas I use to wanna buy every triple A. And with the money saved I've gone onto books, board games or painting miniatures. Less is defo more in this day and age.

This sounds awesome can't wait to try it. I'm guessing intense battles will become even more intense!

Exclusives FTW! Actually I don't care. Just love the gaming community and boot up that game and have fun!! If I couldn't get an exclusive on my console at the game whatever. Heck I love Fire Emblem and I'm not gonna rage or cancel culture the producers. Heck in a world of over a gazillion games can any of us actually play them all?! Less exclusives means more mullah in my wallet and gives me time to actually enjoy a game without being pressure or rushing onto the next one.

If this hints at a new updated and more powerful PSVR2 (please be wireless) I'll be getting PS5 on day one! Just a gfx updated from one to gen on TV just doesn't excite me as much anymore.

I not into these subs. I mean they stack to my council tax, utility bills, grocery bills, other hobbies, etc. So far I've stopped paying monthly netflix, Spotify, amazon, Disney etc. And choose to focus on one at a time. One month its ps4, one sub. Then it'll be pc... No sub. Then maybe back to binge watching netflix another month. This way I'm saving around £30-£40 a month and guess what.... That pays for 2-3 sale price games which I OWN! I think Sony has always offered us gamers options which I prefer instead of forcing us down a specific route which Microsoft tries to introduce. No surprise the survey is in favour of PS5 atm.

Sony really needs to up their game and bring out PSVR2 no leads, 4k visuals headset to compliment Dreams and other VR games!!

Form the land of division Phil is true to its roots in this current age. Why can't he just say Gamers United and keep our gaming community/playground free from game politics, tech divisions, etc and just let it be our sanctuary to have flipping fun!? If someone plays switch, pc, mobile, ps4, xbox, old skool, etc then let's have a common connection and say yes we play games and it's a great laugh and fun to be. There's enough bad/rotten news and division in the world today. Does he have to bring his divisive gaming politics into our fantasy world? Come on xbox gamers/devs stop denying it... You're all closet ps fans really! Come on Phil own up and say you have more exclusives at home on the ps4 than Xbox. As a real gamer he must be fed up of saying why don't we have a Last of Us! An uncharted! A zelda! A Mario! A horizon zero dawn. Yes you have gears and halo but the fans need more, I loved both those brands but sadly xbox does need more. We love you Phil. We know you're passionate about games and it must be frustrating to see all these exclusives on PlayStation, and not on xbox. Step up your xbox studios - give us something that makes us go wow!

Ugh... I hope the boxes (which might be the last gen for physical) go the way of steelbooks. Full artwork coverage front and back. Maybe plonk a easy to remove label on them to differentiate PS5 or xbox 1/x/s/pro/g/string (why is xbox naming so damn confusing!!)

Weird how virtual law is different from physical law. I mean if someone went up to a colleague and publicly shouted abuse, the abuser would be reprimanded. If they became threatening law would be used to place distance bans etc. How long are silicon valleys companies going to pretend that the virtual space courtesy, rule of law don't apply? In real life abusers dare not say to much because there's no where to hide their face (probably put of afraid of being caught and recognised by family, colleagues, strangers, etc). It'd be awesome one day if abusers were given scores... And the more they are abusive online, they'll need to by law post their real life photo and send their ID to the Authorities, as a way to show decent people that these with photos have a negative vitriol attitude, and young children and vulnerable adults should be wary and stay away from such poison. Foolish killjoys wrecking fun for many people! The voice actress was only doing a job to pay her bills.... She didn't write the flaming dialogue!!!!

I like the options of physical and digital, but prefer physical incase I don't like it and sell it on. Digital doesn't offer the freedom to own what I purchase and to sell it on. Plus I love the love put into the artwork on the cases and discs.

Aw I loved this game when it first hit PC. There was nothing as fast or adrenalin kicking as this back then. Here's hoping for a brand new remake! 40 players on track! Rage and speed pro fest!

I think we can all agree PSVR v1. 1 was only the beginning. Really looking forward to PSVR 2 wireless and sharp visuals. The jump from mobile phones 3.0 to now is staggering. Or from full HD to 4K (Hdr). If another pandemic appears in future it'd be awesome to meet mates in the virtual world... Seeing the whole avatar and full sized worlds.

I'm going with disc version cos I like to physically own my Blu-ray movies and games. Plus don't fancy paying for 3-5 tv/movie subscriptions to watch a particluar timed movie movie. Freedom and all options thanks.

@pip_muzz I totally understand there are all kinds of troubles in the world to fix and support. Events like what's going on in HK, the Covid, refugees, etc. And all of these things are usually fleeting and may pass after a few years or decades. Racism however is an inner hate/sin which some politicians stir up and use as a political weapon to segregate, divide, to break down communities. It effects the workplace, the playground, heck even just walking on a street! Eventually people will forget Covid, eventually people will forget HK riots, or those years of Brexit! These things will be part of a small piece of history. No fear of being prejudiced by them or media bombarding us with them anymore. We don't judge our gaming avatars by how they look, so why not apply this to our fellow man in real life? We gamers have moved on from our childish 'my consoles is better than yours' mentality/media and I think this gen have accepted all gaming is a flipping awesome - a place where we just have fun! I gotta admit this generation has been pretty amazing. Amazing storytelling like witcher 3, massive communities in esports like fortnite and LOL. Then of course superb graphics in Horizon zero dawn, awesome music in Last of us... This gens memories just go on and on for me. And of course there's the huge backlog of blockbuster games on ps plus and crazily friendly ps sales purchases. PS5 has a huge fight ahead to impress me more than any other decade! Yet all of these amazing games and experiences are thanks to the game creators. If they say PS5 rocks... Well the proof has been seen in this gen's games. Without your passion and professionalism our gaming escapism would be pretty poor. For the Devs!

Fantastic news for the games to movie industry. Let's hope any future movie/TV tie-in s are treated with as much passion, respect and care as Sonic, Witcher, Pikachu and even Warcraft! A Mass Effect movie/TV shows would be awesome/epic to add to the sci-fi genre. Heck Half-life or Last of us would also make great tv/movies if done right!

League of Legends vs DOTA. Farcry vs GTA vs Just Cause. COD vs Battlefield. The mechanics and worlds are similar in all these games. Didn't Ubisoft kinda copy Halo with their FPS Nova? How similar are Chrome vs Edge vs Firefox. If area F2 is 100% clone yeah bring in the law, else stop being hypocrites/moaning cos possibly Ubisoft are copying mechanics, game eras and ideas from other games too?

Any next gen game with a slow down mechanic I will be avoiding! Don't give cahoots if it's a big franchise or not! Never ever did pacman had to stop midgame to present 5 seconds of eat-da-pill slowmo! Nor did zelda ever slowmo to cut down grass! Any more cracks and it'll crack me up!

Rarely do I say this word about any tech. But Epics demo on PS5 was phenomenal. Encore. Hollywood assets in a game! Doesn't that mean twice as much talent going into games than last gen. Worlds will be mind boggling next gen. I was gonna hold of buying a PS5 first day... But this demo has shown me next gen has finally arrived. I'm starting to save and salivate as I watch the demo again!

Oh go on Then EA I'll break into my wallet! If they could update gfx similar to how Bethesda improved old Skyrim to new Skyrim that would be really cool.

Amazing. If VR second wave can do this with even sharper visuals, portability/lighter and wireless... It'll be the arrival of an age of VR. Fingers crossed.

Seriously unless you're a kid, someone who doesn't work or work from home. How the heck does anyone play, find time and COMPLETE 24 amazing games in one year?! I've still got a backlog of 5 years and more!!!

The game is an epic remake of the original. Story is excellent, blockbuster soundtrack, characters are great, combat best ff personally. However, silly mechanics like slow walk corridors and holding a button for 2 seconds to open a door! Yes God of war began the press to lift a chest and last of us gave us the crawl between a silly corridor mechanic.... But like the dreaded QTE done in small doses is OK. I hope the next release doesn't have these crawling game mechanics pls. 9 overall / 7. 5 with the slowing down gameplay mechanics. Darn too many and boring as heck. Still looking forward to next episode.

I'd like an android companion based on 80s she-ra pls. Yep that was my thing when I was a kid!
