... This is the division I think produces hits and misses but with the right direction/investment Sony could become an entertainment leader.

If DC and Marvel get their games produced by Sony game studios, let us never suffer an average comic to console game ever again! Congrats insomniac and Marvel!

If PRO reduced RRP by £100 I wonder how many of the 60million odd PS4 gamers would upgrade? My wild guess is PS4 will hit 150million when the last one is sold in half a decades time. Still plenty of legs left in this sweetie of a console

I think I play at least 4-6 blockbuster games a year which gives me a buzz. Nowadays the blockbuster movies maybe 1-2 are okay ish. I love how the game industry isn't controlled by something called gamerwood! Instead it's a community where each game studio - corporate or indie has a chance to create something spectacular. Whereas in Hollywood its one templated movie chore fest after another imo. Game awards are for the gamers!

@Flopsy watching YouTube or Blu-ray movies is pretty awesome. It's like being in an imax cinema. If you follow the steps as laid out above the image will appear 1080p. I wear glasses and when I first wore glasses it took about 2-3 days before my visions became clear as eyes adjusted. Same with VR. Once your eyes adjust its awsome. I watched latest game of thrones with PSVR and wow. PSVR's got a function where you press option on dualshock controller to centre the image. What I do is in increments start in sit up position then move to lying down on my sofa... And press option. Lol I watch movies on my back and it's lazy greatness!

@IBeAGamer maybe you could raise the VR issue with Phil Spencer? And say that Xbox is lacking Astrobot or anything VR?! Another console maker in the VR market would keep Sony on its toes and of course spread amazing VR gaming! Peace Xbox switch dude.

The leap from PS3 to PS4 was massive and for me mighty impressive. And if the rule of Moore's law continues, I'm salivating for PS5 and PSVR 2!!! Imagine Last of us 3 with double the power! Or COD, Fifa in PSVR 2! I can't imagine what double power would mean for next gen's games. Sweet!

Oh noes! I had a dreamcast and it was the most pointless use of interaction ever. It took me and mates away from focusing on screen, glancing back n forth and in the end was just an overpriced gimmick. Blockbuster triple AAA games just stuck to tried and tested good ol joypad. I mean how many games use the touchpad and speakers on a dualshock 4? Gimmick = knock the price up baby! No thanks. At least offer a new joypad without screen to give us gamers a choice.

So looking forward to this! It'd be so cool if it had PvP against hundreds! And we'd be able to see everyone else's tetriswall collapse. Maybe it starts with 100 in a virtual arena, 1v1, and each winner goes on to play next winner asap, whilst the losers can travel around and watch. Max time 10min battles!

Gone are the days of keeping loads of games on my PS4 Pro HDD, so mines usually never full. Who has the time to play a dozen games unfinished in a month!!

I was given name tweakii during a PC lan party and one of the cheeky sods also set it up on my new ps3. I wasn't sure what a gamer tag was in those days and naturally thought it could be easily changed. How wrong I was! Tweakii is from South Park and it means nervous or twitchy! I've hated that name since ps3 days and can't wait for the name change. The importance of gamer tags/online IDs should be in school education lol!

I use to collect them like mad. But gaming sites (like this one) and YouTube video reviews, also fans giving honest feedback killed the mag for me. Thank God cos the money goes into buying games!

It'd be a great opportunity to test VR on a galactic scale. Also the testing and experiences from playing could help Sony and future developers be well prepared for launch of PSVR 2/PS5!!

@David187 to be fair, this year's Forza imo looks more entertaining than GT sport. If I had to part cash I'd choose Forza altho I don't own an Xbox. And it's this kind of exclusivity (!) competition which inspires teams to do better. Sony has got the best exclusives imo for me at the moment.. But if Microsoft bring out a dozen genuinely brand new blockbusters in a couple of years time... Who will inspire who?

If more well rated exclusives begin to appear on Xbox that's great for us gamers methinks, cos the extra competition will inspire both Nintendo and Sony. It might be more difficult to choose a future platform if I had only time and money to choose one platform.... For me it's all down to the exclusives and how good they are.

I just gotta complete my purchased 30 odd PS4 games and a dozen PSVR... Ah PS5 I hope you have backwards compatibility cos I ain't got no space for two consoles.

Seeing Pandora in VR is a woowee baby! Those boss battles, scenery and full size claptrap is something I gotta check out. On my buy list!

Killzone: Rise of Helghan ftw! It'd be an amazing fantasy to see a gigantic space trilogy where Helghan have devastated the galaxy and are the dominating empire. The UAE are on the run and each game sees soldiers trying to survive, some hit and run battles, some epic ground battles, massive types of inventive machines and devastation. Escorting refugees to an escape space ship platform but losing many familiar faces along the way. Battles won, battles lost, heroics, failures... All the emotions of space epic and watching humanity whimper, devastated, joy and regret... Massive massive story and blockbuster battles. The fear of those red Helghan eyes... A child hides in the basement watching their parents being dragged away to screams and heavy lasers shots...

Mine was pushed on me by dimwit mates when I first created a PSN account. So finally this is a nail to that toxic gaming group and the name I should have had at the beginning!

I agree with Sammy. No big deal. Broadband has gotten faster and games are constantly growing larger in size. However UHD 4K is limited by 100Gb and that's just for movies. Um... How do you fit a 100Gb game onto a 50Gb dual-layer Blu-ray?!

If the game starts with crossplay eg. Clash of clans/mobile games then so be it. If it's on PC like Overwatch and they have twitchy controls whereas consoles less likely I don't see how there can be an even playing field. If I get to shoot someone in the face on Fortnite I hope it's mobile players lol... advantage consoles!

Atm games like Fortnite and playing with PS communities has been a friendly and fun affair... Few game rants, few rage quits, a great place to just chill and enjoy gaming socially. I wonder as of today Sept 2018 if by cross platforming the toxicity might increase. Just my observation but Xbox fanboys (not the decent average Xbox player) are mega toxic and delusional! Gates have been opened!

Hope this scores well on BGG! Loving me some board gaming with mates on the weekends. Face-to-face balance with the digital gaming like.

The thing I found weak was the total lack of marketing. I mean the game has some great dialogue and super funny things in places. Maybe it needed a good trailer you know like what spiderman and movie trailers do. Like a short 30 second piece would really help advertise it. The 'entertainer' guy is hilarious and appeals to a certain audience. 60 hours in and loving it.

I think I'll wait and see the final product before I fall into rumour traps. However if I wanted to complete the game easily I'd rather choose easy/casual option than pay microtransactions.

From this maybe it's similar to brand loyalty where us consumers splash with our cash cos we trust, enjoy, feel part of a connected community and love the products and services - in other words PlayStation is the preferrred choice to play games! Haha just guessing! To me this means the PlayStation community is one huge happy gaming bunch. For the gamers right Can't say I feel the same passion for fitbit, android, a macdonalds meal, etc and Marvel only appears maybe twice (possibly a year) on a regular basis.

Hmmm... Poor Lara. From early 90s PC days she was the positive female role lead battling bad guys, hunting for history's treasures (cos she had a passion for it!) and my type of adventure super heroine gal. Wish I could see Lara bounce back in more ways than one!

I wonder if these scrutineers when in their deathbeds, will look back and reminisce, "Ah those were the days. I moaned about and trolled about the E3 'demos/prototypes' being higher fidelity than the actual finished product. Oh how clever I was." I'll look at them and think to myself "What a dullard. Don't they understand what a demo is or what the words prototype means!"

Good news in right direction... But maybe like extreme cigarette packaging go a bit further. Eg. Showing a person/family in debt with game in one hand, food bank poster in the other. Small addictions lead to greater addictions. (Awareness groups care.... But not too much else they'll be out of a job)
