The time has come: May's PlayStation Plus lineup has arrived. Starting today, Plus members will be able to download Farming Simulator 19 and Cities: Skylines at no extra cost. It's not the greatest duo of games in the world, but you may as well give them a go, right?

These PS4 games are starting to go live on the service now in Europe, with North America to follow suit in a matter of hours. It's the worst received month of PS Plus games in a fair while -- so much so that thousands of people have signed an online petition to have them changed. But at the end of the day, you've got them anyway, so you might as well give them a fair shake of the stick. Will you be downloading and playing May's Plus games? Are you in fact looking forward to playing them? Sow some seeds in the comments section below.

Don’t all rush at once now!!
I’m glad Sony didn’t change the lineup. I’m not particularly interested in these two and will likely never play them, but I think Sony needs to stick to their guns and just use the feedback to improve next month’s offering. You can’t please everyone (including me)!
Added them. Cities is the kind of game I like the idea of playing more than the actual experience, but may give it a go. No personal interest in FS, but my daughter will definitely give it 10 tractors out of 10.
S*** lineup. Could have been the fake one. Was so hoping it was gonna be dying light
Rubbish
@Ridders307 Please mind the language
Yeah, I don't disagree the lineup isn't stellar, but par for the course.
You know some PS plus months are going to be filler, and some months are going to be bangers. It is what it is.
Just added both and straten downloading Cities Skylines...Gonna be a Nice change of pace beteren Ni No Kuni & Uncharted 3 🙂
Cities Skylines is decent but really needs the DLC and Farming Simulator looks absolutely worth a go. Mundane games are right up my alley, I’ve been trucking way more now I’m stuck inside.
There's absolutely something to be said for games like Farming Sim. I really enjoyed MudRunner when I played that for review, and I got quite into Bus Simulator when I gave that a try. It's definitely worth at least giving these two games a shot.
@nessisonett agree with you re cities skylines. The amount of dlc is obscene. Could spend an absolute fortune
I am not going to download this scarp
They're not for me but I'm sure they'll download pretty quickly.
We can't all like the same stuff.
@Th3solution
Ssssshhhhhhh! This is the internet! Logic and rationality aren't meant to exist here lol.
@thefirst Said it in a previous thread, but Sony gave away Uncharted, Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3, Journey, Knack 2 AND Pac-Man Championship or whatever it was, all free (like ACTUAL free, not ps+ free), all this month. They're more than even.
Just bought Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise and I've yet to finish death stranding, so no. I'll be giving this month a miss 😂
No interest. Ah well back to previous free games like Shadow of the Colossus instead.
The only thing I'm disappointed about is that I already own Skylines. I've almost bought Farming Sim on sale a couple of times so this is a nice way to try it out with no risk. Hopefully they put the dlc on sale too.
In a way I think they misstepped here but only in the sense that they chose two games in pretty niche genres in the same month. They probably should have spread them out.
Tbh though, last month we got Uncharted 4 and DIRT 2 and they gave away the Uncharted collection to everyone. Now people are getting two well received games but they're not blockbusters so they're whinging. Pretty sad.
@thefirst True enough, but like I say, they are all actually free this time round, even for non-subscribers. Germany and China I think (but by creating a free account for either of these countries will allow you to net the game). I only bought them all up because people are ***** about how it is two of the same simulator genre, and Sony should include a variety for all gamers - Well there's cinematic action/adventures, there's a 3d action/platformer, there's a puzzle game, there's an indie-adventure, and then there's two simulators and yet people are still unhappy. They pretty much covered all bases in my eyes. No judgement towards you, but (as with the petition to change the games shows) gamers can be an entitled bunch. The ps+ games aren't for me most months, but I appreciate that there are people who love and enjoy them, for the cost of a coffee each month 🤷♂️ Peace and love indeed ✌
Does Farming Simulator allow me to chase ramblers with my shotgun whilst shouting "GET ORF MOI LAAAAND!!!"
?
I fancy a slower pace with gaming atm and that farming sim looks ideal. Especially for free-ish!
Wow that petition totally worked 🙄
Actually for me it is first month till last autumn that ps plus brought me two games I don't have. Cities is my choice, because I loved simcity and transport tycoon on pc. Farming is not worth even adding to my library. Hope Cities won't be that letdown as Goat Simulator that was total crap, I enjoyed Pain on ps3 as much as I disliked Goat Sim. Pitty.
No thanks I'll just work on my back log.
Not impressed I'm a delivery driver i get stuck behind tractors all the time i hate them why would i want a game driving one is beyond me sling it sony not interested two crap months for me one more and I'm done not like there bothered over 25000 signed a petition and they didnt give a damn oh and dont bother replying not interested in a slanging match with anyone
You wait ages for a sim and then two turn up at once!
I was hoping for Bus Simulator, but these will do my fine.
I'm very happy they didn't change the lineup. Otherwise, once you open that door, you have that sort of outcry every month. No game pleases everyone.
At least my backlog of games hasn't grown this month. Still finishing some PS3 games, as well as PS4. If only I had been furloughed I might have caught up.
Absolutely Happy with both and playing Farming already and as I'm a fan of SimCity I'm looking forward to play Skylines. The months before I wasn't keen about the games and was really annoyed that last year PES was changed to Detroit. For me personally the last year of PSN monthly games haven't been a cracker and I'm happy that Sony didn't bend over again because of some people moaning
@Gigawatt-Kapow totally agree with you, I wasn't keen of last 12 months games but never moaned once. I've just didn't download them and hoped next month is getting better.
Cant wait to not add to library
Nice. Thanks for the reminder. Downloading them both right now. My daughter will be very pleased with Farming Simulator 19.
Are the DLCs on sale especially for these games, or is there an add-on sale I'm unaware of?
I will be giving them a go they are free after all. The games could have been better but they will go into my library with the others
Downloaded both this morning. Really in the mood this week to get into Farming Simulator, if I can tear myself away from Two Point Hospital and ESO that is. Might wait to pick up the dlc before starting Skylines.
Super stoked for the seven people who are going to dl this month's games.
Cambien estos juegos por favor ya los tengo por favor nunca les he fallado en ps plus pero si cambienlos por favor pongan otros yo si voto q los cambien
@Ridders307 Was so hoping it was gonna be dying light
if you want the game then why not just go buy the "Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition" it have the season pass included and is dirt cheap on disc now.
Normally not one to complain - as they are ‘free’ For subscribers but this is the first month where I won’t even bother to add them to my library.
@bighal Technically, it's not even "free", since it's probably the main reason anybody would pay for PS+ besides the fact that Sony (and Xbox) lock online play behind a pay wall for reasons I still don't understand beside incessant greed.
I love playstation grew up playing crash and spyro on the PS1 but honestly people are forgetting for £50 a year the games PSN offer us compared to Xbox is laughable did you know you can get the outer world's for free on Xbox yet you can't on PSN feel like I'm being robbed have no interest in city skylines or farming simulator I much would of preferred the rumoured games of dark souls remastered and dying light already got dying light but I'd rather have it two times than the games they have offered us PSN step your game up or Xbox will take over
@Rob_230 I believe on Steam it's currently at £133 for everything minus the base game, the just gave away park life for free if you subbed to the newsletter that was £12. But it can't be any worse than Train Simulator Jesus that games DLC goes into the £1000s
I'd rather throw my Playstation in the sea
@Nakatomi_Uk lol thats mental. Sounds like the base game should be free to play as standard of they want to pull that. Dont want to sound too critical as i am genuinely interested in trying the game out, but geez!
Not massively disappointed but still, I feel disappointed. I already own Cities: Skylines on PC and have every DLC and the best mods for it and Farm Sim would be fun to play as a meme but that's all.
This month is a 3/10 for me. But I'm not gonna wine about it.
I just noticed BOTH of these have recently been added to PS NOW!!! ??? Pretty odd strategy to gift me free games I can already play anyway.
@lukey-luke98 exactly! I think it's a slap in the face that both games are on psnow! So you pay for two different services, and they end up offering the same. Sony probably didn't even have to chip in much extra in licensing.
