It's amazing to see square Enix release a new game lately on both handheld and console. Both gamer groups gain if they don't own the other machine. Gamers happy! Game devs happy! More profit = more growth in careers and more games! For the players 😆

Great interview pushsquare! I hope you guys do more. Didn't realise there's so much heart and soul, and emotions going on in the game industry. I love how CliffyB mentions his staff and appreciates them. And he pushes his ego/creativity back cause he has a team to support and launch a game on time and to pay the bills. I'll get the game just cause of this love in the gaming community! But I hope there's a swear filter cos I need my chill game time ☺

Yeah wish the owners of these games would just allow Sony to relaunch them.. And simply get paid a commission for each game sold. That's what happens in the music and film industry. Elvis still gets played on Radio 2. Rocky was re-released from cinema to VHS to dvd to bluray and now streams on iTunes play Netflix etc, and whatever 4k or 8k media is in future. Front Misson series on ps2 is my big pick as I'm a sucker for srpgs ☺ just send out a message to game industry... If you would like to make money again from your old games (ps1, ps2, PS3) just say yes! . And supply them a Google/Sony analytics type dashboard where they can see how views per game and how many sold, etc! Simples! Download Ps1 or ps2 emulator app on ps4, download a gane and enjoy ☺

Horizon 7 hours in and I'm hooked except I've got a huge design project deadline over weekend to do as well! All work and play in this modern life! Grinding away on clash of clans as well😄

It looks decent I don't mind another dark souls clone. But on subject of ripping off... What about Gran Turismo/Forza? Tomb raider/uncharted? COD or battlefield? Can't wait to see what Chinese developers bring to the table... Hope it's not just anime style (Japan) or open world realistic gun blazing (USA) type stuff but uniquely Chinese. Hoping for originality like Horizon. Love to see the Chinese take on RPGs or their version of sci-fi😊

This looks like a huge evolution from 8! So many games coming soon to PS4 argh! Dynasty warriors 9. Destiny 2. Monster Hunter World. Dragon quest 11. Red dead redemption 2. Spiderman. Detroit. Cod ww2. Battlefront 2. Skyrim VR. Doom VR. Death stranding. Days gone. Horizon dlc. Uncharted 4 dlc. Wolfestein 2 ... I can't keep up lol! For the players (who have plenty of free time dammit!)

Playing The Order 1886 on easy mode! Wipeout to gawp at 4k graphics then a weekly fix of Diablo 3. If I complete The Order on Saturday then it's back onto uncharted 4.

I love these previous PC exclusive games coming to console. When done right they are just as good if not better than PC controls. Fraction of price of PC and no twiddling with PC settings to get that extra detail or fps. Wunderbar swing them swords! Just bought divinity but no time to play yet. Diablo is brilliant. Elderscrolls online is amazing! Xcom 2 plays fine fine fine! Be nice if PS5 supported mouse and keyboard too as option in future games!

@KitsuneNight You can choose not to buy the remasters! But some of us don't mind splashing out again on our favourite games especially if they're improved by even a tiny bit like faster frame rates, sharper fonts, trophy support, higher texture rate, etc! And if there is no demand from gamers I'm sure a company wouldn't waste money remastering. Remastering creates jobs dude 😄.

Chrono cross and chrono trigger remakes on PS4 would be awesome! Not a clue how Sony/Square Enix could get this to work. Other gems include thunderforce, Spyro, fighting force and alundra!

I could had easily chosen 6! So many games I thought looked sweet. So critics are saying this E3 was meh yet so many games coming out! End 2017 to 2018 is gonna break our wallets I'm predicting😄

I work in technology and delays are unavoidable. From hundreds of lines of code and assets 10 years ago to gazillions today. Bug testing every possibility is a mammoth task. We all know what happens when a game is announced and rushed to shelves whilst still full of bugs (mass effect andromeda) or stories incomplete (deus ex)... it annoys us like crazy! And brings the brand optimism down.

Knack was decent. Surprisingly challenging in some parts. Can't wait to see what Cerny + Japan Studio come up with.

Lol wait a couple years and we'll have another version... VR 4k in HDR 120fps! I've bought star wars trilogy on VHS, widescreen VHS, digitally remastered, DVD and bluray. Next one can sod off! Not buying that a 6th time!!

Dudes making sense. I like where Sony + Microsoft are going... 4K as standard within 2 years. Btw, I use to be a fan of bluray discs but atm netflix and YouTube stream in 4K on many modern 4k smart TVs and it has stopped me from buying box sets and movies. Watching korean pop in 4k is awesome! You can see every spot and single hair! 4k gaming simply looks stunning... but I agree with BAMozzy wish ps4 pro was supported better. And why did Sony hide boost mode option under system settings - took me ages to find it!!! Makes more sense to me if it was under video settings ie. More graphical power or place it in it's own Pro settings menu near the top.... grrr.

Well Sony did have the 'most powerful console in the world' moniker for a while so it's okay for Microsoft to brag now. However, with such blatant caveman mentality from Phil he's stopped me cold from being tempted into the Xbox franchise. I have respect for the x1x capabilities but sadly not the leadership and it's 'put down others/troll' mentality. In my previous post I had high hopes for Xbox scorpio too. Don't fancy joining a community full of haters and put downers now!

Aw I love you guys at pushsquare. Spot on, I totally agree with your opinions and more. Maybe it's a platinum trophy if Sony can surprise us 10 years in a row! Thinking outside the box maybe they toned it down a little to allow Xbox to catch up?! Or taking to 2 years to plan something epic next year! After seeing the show I'm a bit relieved - hopefully to use 2017 as time to relax and enjoy my games instead of rushing to complete and get the next big thing. But 2018 looks chocca full of state-of-the-art games... like a squirrel time to hide my nuts ready to enjoy in 2018!

@Mahe another huge difference between Wii and PS4 though is the huge amount of shovelware on Wii! PS4 is just full of quality games month after month! Quality titles should keep gamers happy and linking up with mates over a longer period until PS5 launches I'm.guessing. I salute my fellow gamers who prefer Xbox. They now have a more powerful console to upgrade or buy into. Despite not having more exclusives than Sony really wish the Scorpio success... as competition breeds friendly banter and wanting to strive for better! Xbox one x will only push the engineers and developers at Sony to slave away harder lol! That's a win for us PS gamers! I gotta admit I'm a sucker for 4k gaming atm and can't go back to HD. Xbox X has given me something extra to think about. Sadly relying on Forza, gears and halo isn't enough to fully tempt me. Add an extra 3-4 exclusive blockbusters and yep that'll even the playing field.

A.m.a.z.i.n.g... looks like it'll be the best spidey game ever! I was blown away by the gfx and spidey's new moves. I think comic heroes will enter a new golden age of gaming (thanks also to the devs who created batman and injustice)

Lol why are us gamers so fickle?! One minute we get sick of the modern/future setting. Then we get all excited for a historical setting... Then we get all fussy over too much over use of historical settings! I remember as a kid games were just that... games! Fun, exploration and a time killer. Looking forward to this one... can't wait to see what angle the devs will approach from. I'm one of those gamers who love blockbuster set pieces! and appreciate the little Indies too.

Amazing reveal! Quite tempted to get PSVR when it dips to £200 mark. A few meaty titles to jump into now. Much better support and taken more seriously than PS move. Skyrim, doom, resident evil, final fantasy, EVE... and Imax cinema feel for normal tv and movies! Xmas... haha... this xmas maybe 😍 just get FIFA, COD/battlefield and GTA behind VR and gaming will be elevated to next level!!! Now can next gen VR headsets be made clear, except for screen and have some kind of anti-light layer inside the headset to block out external distractions? Makes it more airy and more fashionable!!

Next pay day I'm upgrading to PS4 pro. Been watching 4k Netflix movies and shows on 49" smart tv and they're visually stunning clarity compared to HD. Totally addicting. 4k gaming would be icing on the cake 😄

Great to see consoles doing so well! I think a factor has also been how cheap consoles are and how quickly games become cheap on 2nd hand market. Plus.. seeing games run on 40" tv's is an amazing experience! Then a quick switch to YouTube or movie laying back on sofa. For the sofa player!!

I only buy digital games when they're dirt cheap. But figured watching 4k movie digital rents is cheaper than buying and then trading back. A bus costs £3 just to pop to town to buy a 2 hour movie. Car is even more expensive... parking, petrol, tax, etc

PSN + googleplay android phone FTW on PSP2 pls. Clash of clans, soul hunters, candy crush, Facebook, music player, dual SIM, whatsapp, retina camera, snapchat, final fantasy, eBay, Amazon, heartstrings, persona, physical controls, micro SD, dual screen, fast charge, £300.... ah one can fantasize...

I had a ps2 and used it to play final fantasy 8. That was it! Okay I enjoy backwards compatibility on ps vita cos I don't mind retro graphics on small screen. But to see ps1 or ps2 or ps3 on ps4 is just a waste of my time imo! There are too many stonking PS4 games to play as it is and they look stunning! How many pc players with uber pc's go back to play c&c1 or age of empires or SimCity 2000, witcher 1 or call of duty 2? Yep choice is there... but there's so little time nowadays. For me retro gaming is nice to have the original console on Big tv... but like all antiques it's a nostalgia/hoarding/OCD mentalility for those wishing for good ol' days. Retro Gfx really look awful on a 49" tv and that's a huge turn off. Anyone still yearning for doodle jump on ios/android?!! No thanks

Just do it Capcom! They could make extra dosh from dlc mounts or we could pay for skins if we're too lazy! But never play to win! Overwatch, LOL and even elderscrolls do DLC in a gamer friendly way I think. Pay to hunt uber rare monsters!!! The gfx and sound would be amazing on PS4!!! Linked co-op with friends or grandsons. Multiple islands or areas... monster Hunter league. Maybe a league each 3 month season to see which player or team hunts and kills a selection of monsters in 3 bouts. The team with the best average wins loot!!!

I pray for their success for their teams working on this project. Hate to see a good developer disappear into the ether. Speedy and good progress Square Enix. Maybe a few smaller teams (20 or so in a team) should start producing smaller 16-bit rpgs/srpgs again. Turn around in 6 months charge under a £10... bread and butter theory. Keep earning with the fast turnaround rpgs that we love and build triple AAA blockbusters separately. Maybe these short adventures still take 20-30 hours just just without all the side games and extra activities 😄
