Re: Reaction: I'm Sad It's Over, But Destiny's End Was Overdue

Loved D1 & 2, but like most, I knew that the Final Shape was the right time to call it quits. Have many great memories, and met a lot of fantastic people during the countless hours spent playing both titles. I'm grateful to Bungie for all of that, but wish that they had gone out in a blaze of glory with TFS.

Re: PS5 Review: Is It Good?

Very in depth review. Thanks. For me the non-proprietary SSD issue is what I will be waiting to see, as the on board drive space is woeful. As I have a sizeable backlog of PS4 games, I can afford to wait it out. lol.

Re: Soapbox: Why Do You Replay Games?

XurAgentofthe9

I am one of those folks who finds games that they really like and plays them to death. I put about 2000 hours into both Oblivion and Skyrim, almost the same into Fallout 3. I also play live service games, so must have put enormous amounts of time into Destiny 1 & 2 and ESO. Am currently on my 4th character running through Dark Souls Remastered, which I picked up in the sale recently. So, yeah, I'm a serial replayer

Re: Bethesda Says 'Some' Future Games Won't Launch on PS5, PS4

XurAgentofthe9

@__jamiie Yes, I see that. On the other hand though, although it helps the console manufacturers, wouldn't it be better for game developers and gamers to make games for multiple platforms and sell/play more games? Anyhow, my main issue is that I wouldn't buy a 2nd console just to play an XBox exclusive game; even if I really wanted the game.

Re: Destiny 2 Keeps Chugging Along with Season of the Chosen Trailer

Wow, I tried going back to D2 with Beyond Light and was bored with it after a month. I'm genuinely puzzled as to why anyone still plays it, and what they find to do other than mindless grinding, and re-levelling (again) every 3 months. I can't believe that Bungie get away with producing so little content. There are so many better games out there. Each to their own though, I guess.

Re: Reaction: How Does It Keep Going Wrong for Big Game Launches?

XurAgentofthe9

I think that when creators know that there will be a large number of pre orders and first day release buyers, then there can be an element of release it now, fix it later. Expectations aren't helped by the hype train, but I suspect that they are generally too high. For me there are now too many horror stories to pre-order new games, and I always wait for reviews from gaming sites and players. I do approve of the refund policy in the case of CP77 though; fair play.

Re: Sony Looking into Feedback on Roundly Criticised PS4 Party Changes

XurAgentofthe9

I know that when one of my friends downloaded the latest update, he then couldn't get into party chat or game chat, is that still a thing? What can we not do that we could do before? Not sure I like the idea of Sony recording, or other players recording chat; all seems a bit Big Brother to me, if you don't like what someone is saying, mute them, kick them if that's an option, or leave the chat!

Re: Gamers Will Happily Pay $70 for PS5 Games, Argues Analyst

"The market" is not an autonomous living thing, it is created and maintained by people. If the Covid crisis continues to get worse and the unemployment levels skyrocket, who knows what monetary value people will then place on leisure activities? Matt Piscatella is putting this soundbite out there in the hope that peple will take it at face value. We shall see.

Re: Reaction: Bethesda Acquisition Is a Kick in the Balls for PS5, But Sony's Goals Won't Change

Difficult one this! I would assume that, with this sort of money to throw around, MS are in pole position, but I agree that in the end it's about the games. One also mustn't forget that Bethesda was responsible for Fallout 76, for example; it's not like everything they touch turns to gold. On the other hand, one of the games I'm most looking forward to is ESVI, so this would make it a tough decision when the time comes to buy a new console. Oh dear!
