Re: Review: Destiny 2 (PS4)

XurAgentofthe9

I reckon 8 is a fair enough score and the review does mention the crucible as being an issue, which I agree with; it's not as good as in Destiny 1 in any way imo. 4 x 4 is limiting the variety of playstyles, forcing players to run around in mobs of 4 and teamshooting, and also, why did they take away the ability to choose which mode you play? A backward step, surely?
One personal bugbear is no dedicated servers, which is very poor in 2017.
Other than that, bang on really.

Re: UK Sales Charts: Destiny 2 Down Dramatically Compared to First Game

XurAgentofthe9

I would have guessed that sales would be lower to be honest. I think that burn out will be a big factor, given that 2 is so similar to 1; something that I hope reviewers are intending to be honest about. I mean, if Bungie are expecting those who played for 3 years on D1 do the same with D2; hmm...that's 6 years of playing essentially one game. Seems unlikely.
Different story for those new to the game of course.

Re: Poll: Are You Enjoying Destiny 2?

XurAgentofthe9

I pre ordered, and I'm enjoying it. I would say though, that to all intents and purposes it's a reskin of D1 with a few convenience upgrades, and having played D1 for a long time, I'm not sure that D2 will hold my attention for anywhere near as long. I predict it will all be over by Christmas

Re: Destiny 2 Clans Won't Be Up and Running for 'Several Days'

XurAgentofthe9

Played for about 3 hours today and all went really well. Can't get into the crucible yet as queue doesn't seem to move, but there is plenty of stuff to be getting on with. Stand out hings so far are graphics and the shooting mechanic, which is better than D1 (am loving those hand cannons). Well done Bungie so far...

Re: Push Rewind: Did Destiny Deliver in the End?

XurAgentofthe9

I played it for 1st year, stopped for 6 months, played for another year and stopped. Had to have breaks from it or I would have gone nuts. Having had a nice rest, I will be getting D2 on release.

Given the amount of time I spent playing D1, I would say it was worth what I paid for it and then some. Just hope that Bungie make all of the very necessary changes needed from D1.

Re: Hands On: Destiny 2's Beta Is Familiar Fun on PS4

XurAgentofthe9

Sounds ok so far. Not sure if I will go for it, having spent nearly 3 years playing D1. It very much seems like more of something very similar; eedto expand my gaming horizons But, I know quite a few people who only play Destiny, so this will go down a treat for them.

Re: Destiny Didn't Have Enough Post-Launch Content, Says Activision CEO

XurAgentofthe9

The launch content was lacking in D1, and the game was unpolished at release. Looks to me like they are going in the right direction with D2; guilds, more initial content and stuff. Price wise, I won't pay for the £100 version off the bat, I will buy the base game and see if I like it first, even if I end up paying a bit more in the long run. Bungie will manage ok; the Destiny obsessives who have been at it for 3 years already will lap it all up

Re: July 2017 PlayStation Plus Games Announced

XurAgentofthe9

Damn. Won't be able to cry this month either; that's 2 in a row. Never played Until Dawn so will give that a go for sure. How does Game of Thrones work? Is it like a game broken up into episodes?

Re: Review: The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind (PS4)

XurAgentofthe9

I am really enjoying it, and think it is worth an 8 to be honest. A lot has gone into it, and Zenimax have to pay for that, so the price point isn't that outrageous; and of course, it's not essential in order to play the base game and DLC, so can be bought later, when cost goes down.
Much of the game can certainly be played solo, even the easier dungeons can be soloed once you are a high enough level, and there is a group finding tool for the other stuff.
If you subscribe to ESO +, you get all the other DLC to play, and they have already announced 2 more DLC packs coming in the near future.

Re: Poll: Should Sony Be Looking to Add Refunds to PSN?

XurAgentofthe9

I think refunds need to happen on PS4, Firewatch is a bit of an anomaly, in that most games run for much longer than 2 hours; obviously if you played it and finished it, you should do the right thing by the developer and not ask for a refund. But for AAA releases like NMS, where the game seems to bear little relation to what you expected, then I think it's fair enough to ask.
