Re: Lord of the Rings RPG from Kingdom Come: Deliverance Dev Confirmed

TheArt

This should be good. KCD2 is just so good in all aspects and it's hilarious too 😆. And if combat is still troubling you, I think you aren't taking the RPG aspect seriously, you have to keep training in the combat arenas, pay skill teachers in combat skills, brew potions that'd help in battle.

@cainhurst94 so they suck at graphics, narration, immersion too...tsk.

Platted this on 360 and PS4. The facial scan thing was so good I could spot the actors in movies and I didn't even know them. This and San Andreas are about the only R* games I've platinumed because they have no damn online trophies. Those case solving interesting narratives are present in KCD2 if you miss them.

Re: PS5's New Weekly Player Tracker Has Revealed Some Brutal Truths for Fans

TheArt

I believe most people that play these also plays SP too but SP doesn't go on forever so they go back to MP increasing the playtime numbers. These are like kickback relax games after you've beat that new SP game or taken a break from it. And there's the fact that people aren't willing to buy $70 10hr games, they'd rather just keep on playing their MP games. Well, and we've got some that don't play anything else at all because they've built some rep in these games for years, it's hard to move on.

Closing in on 400hrs in Kingdom Come Deliverance II, doing a lot of interesting side quests, simply one of the best games ever made! I'll be playing a bit of many other games but focusing on KCD2 mainly because I've been tarrying a lot in that beautiful world since 2025 I really have to beat it now.

Re: Monster Hunter Wilds Sales Really Have Fallen Off a Cliff

Regardless by today's standards, at 88 on MC, it's an incredibly fantastic game. If you think it's not doing for you like World did, it's probably more of MH burnout than anything else. Creatures like Segregios alone would make you question the design of monsters in many other games. MH is just an on and off again game, they don't get old, sales and player numbers will go up again with a new expansion out.

Re: See the Alternate Version of Uncharted 4 You Never Got to Play in Eye-Opening Video

Judging by the first 3, I suspect there was going to be some supernatural stuff in there which felt off for me sometimes with the realistic settings and all. All the same shouts to Amy, she did a fantastic job with them regardless and thanks for inventing such an iconic series. Neil on the other hand goes all out on realism which I like and has also been doing a great job with U4 and TLOU.

@Zuljaras RDR2's controls are fine, I like the weighty feel. Not really a fan of characters running all over the place with a simple left stick push,
taking food from a hot pot faster than a magician like in AC. Ultimately controls making everything so fast gives that meaningless feel.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 632

Will be doing bit by bit of "Wake! Alan Wake!" I know to expect zombie types in TLOU or RE but I don't know what to expect in Alan Wake 2...so unsettling! Still continuing the interesting adventures of Henry in KCD2. The world is just too beautiful.

@Zuljaras is the dialogue in ACValhalla annoying 😂. I struggled with Odyssey mainly because RDR2 was still fresh and it just made AC mechanics look so ridiculous. I liked ACValhalla for the most part but it started overstaying its welcome, not because it's long, I love long games but it just started feeling meaningless.

Re: 'Human Creativity Must Remain at the Centre': Sony Talks AI within PlayStation

TheArt

I feel like Ubisoft has been using a lot of AI all this time with how they churn out games so fast we call them copypaste. Most things in AC are so soulless, travel to some far dumb place to eat some Fly Agaric and fight a couple of random enemies - mission complete - ACValhalla. Not to mention those weird poetic dialogue everyone in the game keeps muttering.like something compiled by AI. But we end up still enjoying because their graphics are usually good.

Re: 'I'm Tired of Games That Are Too Big': Open World RPG Dawnwalker Doesn't Want to Waste Your Time

TheArt

@Nepp67 Yes so we can have long games and short games, no need for people to make it seem the former is bad. If different short experiences is fun to some, same way a long samey experience is fun to some, endgame here is "fun." At any point someone feels a game is "wasting their time" i don't know how hard it is to just...quit the game, no one's holding them at gunpoint.

Re: 'I'm Tired of Games That Are Too Big': Open World RPG Dawnwalker Doesn't Want to Waste Your Time

TheArt

Still don't get this argument of "too big I don't have time"...are you going to stop gaming after the one game? No, you're definitely moving on to a next game, so what if someone wants to spend that same time on the next game playing the same game. You buy 5 different 10hr games in a month, 50hrs playing time, $70 x 5 = $350. Someone wants to spend $70 on a single game with 50hrs playtime and save money, you're all "wasting the SAME TIME", what's the issue here...people play CoD and FIFA repetitively for 1000s of hours no complaints, why should SP games end quickly...

Alan Wake 2, I feel like what sort of scary drama have I gotten myself into, but it's great though, impressive art direction. Then it's more Hades 1&2. Mafia 3, just tryna plat this game since forever but it's still a joy to pick up and play. KCD2 will get in there somewhere, longest game I've ever played so far but I love it, still taking my sweet time.
