Re: The Internet Has Not Been Kind to Horizon Hunters Gathering

The backlash is crazy. This is one of the best looking cartoony artstyles ever made. Can't believe people can be so narrow-minded when it comes to graphic styles. It looks better than Fortnite stop playing. Plus this isn't Horizon 3 to expect the same graphics, this is completely different.

Still on the wonderful KCD2. I just stepped out of an armourer's shop and met some guy making noise outside, talked to him boom a quest line started. This is just one of the beautiful things about this game, aside all the side quests markers on the map, quests with no markers can start out of the blue. Game is so immersively hardcore when you're sneaking there's no highlighting of enemies. What a game! Then will be helping Judy on her quests in the spectacularly raytaced CP2077.

Doing gigs in Dogtown in CP2077, partying in KCD2, more hunting in MHWilds, exploring Caspian in Metro Exodus, still trying to find secret pathways in the mighty Elden Ring. Sigh, there I go playing a lot of games at once again, times have changed, a lot of games are just too good.

@Matthewnh "But, let us be honest, GTA6 is just going to be more of the same, and hardly groundbreaking."

Bout one of the biggest lies I've ever heard about a Rockstar game. With every iteration they make sure there's that wow feature other games are going to struggle to emulate. Yeah because there were smartphones and ordering stuff online in San Andreas, they copy paste stuff like Ubisoft but have to take more than a decade doing it. You are joking!

@MrPeanutbutterz Well websites aren't made up of a single person, so it can't be too subjective, they have their personal top 5s for that. Imagine TGA going all subjective and choosing CoD or Fortnite as GOTY but no, there's a lot of objectivity going on there.

Well makes a nice change to see y'all didn't put a PS exclusive at #1 by default. I mean if there are multiplats that are better, just let them win. If an exclusive is better, fine. In 2020, I didn't think any game was beating TLOU2, it deserved all its awards. But Spiderman over BG3, naaah.

The Game Awards, Goldenstick, game sites etc...maybe how winners are decided should be looked at again. Cause it's looking like once a game is great and cheap/free it's likely to sweep all awards. Millions would've bought it and would skip the other more expensive ones that are equally great. And then you ask for public voting, the expensive ones don't stand a chance, cause most likely most people bought that one £50 game the entire year. It's like free to play Wuthering Waves winning over Clair for Player's Choice in TGA. Same with game sites, when you hold a poll, people are likely to vote for the single game they own by default. So I think public voting could be quite flawed.
