Posterity judged this one. I see people in comments across the internet now wondering how GoW won goty over this in 2018. GoW is lovely but when all was said and done I'm still seeing memes and chatter about RDR2 7 years on.

@DennisReynolds it looks like it has its own kind of RT already, another thing that made this game so ahead.

If they maintained all the systems from previous Fallouts and made no changes...

The best action game this year is Monster Hunter Wilds. No game captures battle with monsters this outstanding. I mean we know MH's gameplay is one of its selling points but surprised they've been able to increase it further especially in the way of animations. The animations coupled with the graphics is incredible. I think the gatherings by your palico/handler and your Seikret following scoutflies is actually believable and realistic. I don't think I can make too much time for other games, MH Wilds is just too good!

@Elfuggingjefe Same, still not moved by these superhero in a fancy costume games. Still haven't played Spiderman, hopefully I get to try it one day at a low price - which doesn't seem to be happening - so I get other games instead. All I saw in this Wolverine trailer was gore, gore and more gore, nothing that hasn't been done by GoW already.

Always sad to hear these things. Hoping R* reinstates them.

I don't know why some people think PS6 launch title...they love it when we double or triple dip, it's going to be on PS5 through to PS7.

I suspected this when the RDR2 PS5 version kept popping up.

Sometimes when companies have names that sound like it was thought up in 2 seconds they become some of the greatest. Naughty Dog, Rockstar, FromSoftware. Cheers to ND! A modern Jak & Daxter would be great!

@FatalBubbles Yep Dark Souls 3 also seems to be stuck at £22 and i think FFXII Zodiac Age is also stuck at 19.99, it's just so annoying. I bought Sekiro a long time though, great game!

@JustMyOpinion No matter how big the sale is, Sekiro from 2019 says hesitation is defeat so buy it at 29.99 no matter what.

Couldn't vote, it's hard for me. Clair Obscurrr is just so special - the art, music, whole unique vibe. And then there's KCDII - my kind of game, immersion done right since RDR2, can't choose. Haven't played MH Wilds yet, but I know it's gonna round up my top 3 this year. Quite sad it doesn't really get backed for GOTY because people know what it's about - like some sports game, justice for MH.

Waiting for the no games this gen comments when they actually mean: "No new games from Naughty Dog this gen." Evidently game development time has outrageously increased so maybe new console releases should slow down too.

@PuppetMaster fair enough but get where he's coming from, yknow when you want people to try something and they outright refuse it leaves you quite sad don't it 😂. I for one like to keep an open mind about things cause games I thought I'd never like have ended up being some of my favourites of all time.

Back on Metro Exodus, this native PS5 version is just one of best looking games ever created, crazy! KCD2, another good looking Deep Silver classic, plus some KCD1 as well. CP2077, Deathloop, ACValhalla, probably a bit of RDR2, MHRise...hmph hard to focus on one game these days. Got the credits rolling for MH Iceborne, now to find more monsters I haven't met yet, but what's with the dog-like monsters always at the end.

That's the main reason I dropped online gaming. I used to play a lot on PS3 when it was free.

Nah PushSquare is actually the competition for users on here. Because instead of playing games we're here always chatting and chatting. I mean that's about how it sounds if we call TikTok a competition. Football, TV Series, hanging out, Facebook they've all been taking game time since the dawn of time. If you really like games you'd make time for it regardless. And oh how about Jobs and School, those are the real competitors lol jk I know they aren't entertainment. Xbox have just lost it and ashamed to admit defeat to PS, so yeah let's blame something else.

@Oram77 I struggled with World, I was on again off again for more than a year till it finally clicked. Now I have like 894hrs on World still haven't beaten Iceborne and 300+hrs on Rise and still ain't beaten Sunbreak. Keep on trying it's fackin fun.

I'm a fan of MH, I'm buying Wilds in the next sale. With MH you know what you're getting - fighting monsters over and over in an addictive loop. And since THEY ARE ALL FUN, someone who doesn't have Rise, will be tempted at that £8 sale price compared to the pricey Wilds. And there's the fact that KCD2, Clair Obscur got all the attention and people like me got those instead cause I was curious and didn't know what I was getting. So like I said everyone knows what Wilds is about and patiently waiting for a sale.

Finally made it past a place I've been stuck on for weeks in KCD1, game can be difficult but as satisfying as Souls games when you overcome. The animations in the cutscenes are top notch, don't sleep on this £4.99 gem. I'll be finding some supposedly wild woman in the equally lovely KCD2. Playing games with Julianna in Deathloop. Rolling with River Ward in CP2077.

I'll be fine with AI generating unique faces for NPCs in open worlds especially. Some are too repeated, I mean I just saw you in that town, how are you in this town.

@Max_the_German Yep I always find it disheartening when people call someone lazy at their work when you haven't the slightest inkling what goes on behind the scenes. They could be genuinely trying to fix a problem but orders from above says otherwise, that there's a release date to be met. They might also just be struggling with the Pro architecture. I mean if you have evidence that shows no effort on their part then you may call them lazy. Gamers cry about Rockstar and ND taking too long, same gamers would be up in arms about crunch when they try to move fast.

@Ravix Yeah KCD1 can be brutal stuck on a duel with Runt currently, speaking of, I remember I was stuck on other duels in KCD2. So I think both games can be difficult.

@DennisReynolds I think KCD1's visuals still looks good, especially when drunk and that sharpness filter sets in.

I have all the DLCs, classic game which started out boring on my first playthrough, tried the second time and it became one of the greatest shooter RPGs of all time, made me regret not really digging into Fallout 3 back in the day. Got the plat, I'll have to do a 5th run some day because like Skyrim, I feel there's still some hidden stuff I haven't discovered.

Was looking forward to how this would turn out. So all the talk about Obsidian and Fallout New Vegas and they still can't make that one original game that would cement their name in the hall of fame. People should tone down the Bethesda bashings.

If Xbox was in the leading position like PS, trust me they would've LOCKED EVERYTHING. Literally physical games would even come with a padlock. I always say they're playing all these games to get all exclusives on their Xbox. Personally it'd be fine with me if there were no exclusives but hey brands need something to convince you to get their product.

I know I played this game on PS2 but I don't remember anything or I didn't... I remember playing Godfather and Mafia though.

PS3 was good but 360 gave it a run for it's money. FIFA was one of my favorite games then and they all looked better on 360 that I went to cop a 360. It was such a shame considering all the hype with the CELL processor. What's worse it didn't even allow me to play GTA4 & RDR on PS4 no BC. PS3 was quite disappointing when all was said and done.

Naah it's still Jin lol. I used to go play this at an arcade. One of the great games that made you jealous of PS1 owners. But hey at least I had Zelda OoT, Mario Party, GoldenEye and co.

For me it's been the Backwards Compatibility. Never have I felt this overwhelmed with games. And yeah the DualSense makes a nice change from the Dualshock since PS1.

Taking gigs behind Saul's back with Panam in CP2077. Left Kuttenberg to Trosky for a few side quests in KCD2. Still trying to scout that cuman camp in KCD1. Looping and looping in the incredible Deathloop. Might just complete AC Valhalla finally. Some few courses in EAWRC.

Consoles are PCs now, more crossgen titles moving forward. No need to early adopt unless you can afford it or just want a shiny new console. Nothing new here.

For a guy that's got the plat for Dishonored 1&2, and planning to plat DotO and Prey, dunno why I didn't get Deathloop as soon as I got a PS5, guess bangers like BG3 had all my attention. Anyway I'm playing it now, aww I've missed that signature Arkane art direction, not surprised it won the award for that in 2021. Overall I'm loving it and it just reminded me I still didn't get around to beating Prey's Mooncrash, sigh so many games. But I'll also be continuing KCD2, CP2077, ER, Metro Exodus and others too.

Well I've bought Clair Obscur, KCD2, BG3, EAWRC, Burning Shores dlc, KCD1 so far this year.

@DragonSlayer1759 Lol then you're treating games like a chore, like you already finished mopping the floor and someone walked on it and you need to mop again. This update is clearly an afterthought, if devs were to add everything they'd ever think up before releasing, games would never release. You could do a 2nd run unless you don't like it - which I find strange some people don't - seeing as games have multiple pathways these days it's just nice to do a 2nd run.

The optional bosses roaming all over The Continent are hard enough, not done with them. This is a welcome addition though.

I'd love to try but if the download size is too big I won't bother. The last CoDs I bought was MW & MW2 in 2008 or so, good times but I didn't believe it needed to release every year, ditched the series and moved on.

I always see every open world being compared to RDR2 on YT in the way of physics and realism, even with the just released GoY and RDR2 still remains undefeated. Legend.
