Re: Meet the Man Making PS5 Manuals for Your Physical Games

TheArt

Yeah it was always a good time reading manuals on the way to school in my dad's car. And manuals were the only proof someone had a game, bring the "game book" to school tomorrow or you're lying, still, some would doubt and say you got it from a friend 😆.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 630

TheArt

Yeah so Hades 2 is so good I bought Hades 1. The stories in both are so interesting you feel like you can't wait to find out more plus the art styles are lovely. Then it's finding other quests from tipsters in other places after Henry got whooped by a drunk in a tavern, turning some criminals in, had to flee Kuttenberg for some time before they find him, and so the adventures with interesting side quest storylines continue in KCD2. Traveling with the Colonel and the band in Metro Exodus. Hunting and crafting from the most realistic and stunning monsters you ever seen in a game in MHWilds.

Re: Saros (PS5) - Housemarque at the Peak of Its Powers with Its Best Game Yet

@Dogbreath Nah c'mon man, the fact that a game doesn't fit how you think all games should be doesn't mean those who love it don't have "lives." Same with people who say they have lives so they can't play 100hr games but go on to play 10 different 10hr games in a month, isn't that the same, if anything the former saved a ton of money. I haven't even played Returnal and not getting this in a hurry so you could just as easily skip it instead of wishing it'd be made to your style. Imagine Miyazaki caving in and adding difficulty options, that's it, the whole point of soulslike is dead. Just leave games to express their intended gameplay choice, if you don't like it, ignore it.

Re: Xbox Game Pass vs PS Plus: Was Sony Right All Along?

TheArt

Xbox always making unsustainable wrong moves. Having no exclusives - an incentive to own your console - is also another wrong move regardless the money their making, unless they want to drop the console business and go full publishing like SEGA.

Re: PS Plus Value Called into Question as Xbox Slashes Game Pass Price

TheArt

So CoD was singlehandedly holding the price at ransom 🤦‍♂️. My 1 month PS Plus expired and couldn't be bothered renewing, multiplayer felt boring all of a sudden, perhaps I'd find it interesting again if online is free. I don't need those free monthly games taking up all the HD space anyway.

Hades II. Sometimes you need to give a chance to games you think oh "it's not for me", they might just surprise you. The game's brilliant. How the heck did they manage to put in new dialogue with everyone every time you return to your abode...gameplay and art direction is fantastic! Now I'm in a hurry to get the first soon as I'm done with this. Plus, KCD2 as usual, the side quests never end but it's just a joy to play in that beautiful world. Same with CP2077's crazy lighting raytraced world which I'll be undertaking some gigs in. I reinstalled Prey - that game from Arkane, damn it's a gem!

Re: Expedition 33, Dispatch the Two Big Winners at the BAFTA Game Awards

TheArt

@Balaam_ 🤣🤣 You're also never getting over that one huh...honestly I couldn't get into Skyrim back in the day, it clicked a bit later but to be fair, at the time Dark Souls was a new formula people weren't familiar with, Sony execs didn't even believe in it. I'm glad Miyazaki is getting his flowers now anyway. On the other hand people knew Oblivion, so expanding on that and making Skyrim with all that freedom and content was a gamechanger. Years later, people still talk about Skyrim so that award has been justified i believe. Years later, RDR2 is still being talked about, GoW18 not so much.

Re: Metro 2039 Goes Back to Its Roots for Series' Darkest Game Yet, Out on PS5 This Winter

TheArt

Woah! This year?! Thought it'd be some 2027 release. Hoping it turns out great!

When people whine about controls, i wonder if they want every game fast paced where the character has no weight, floating around like paper where their aim auto snaps to target, everything is smooth and easy, why don't you skip the entire game to the credits and don't bother controlling anything. Exodus goes for realism, there's a lot of recoil from your guns if you don't modify them with parts you find, every bullet counts and they are rare to come by. Metro isn't some run and gun like CoD or Fortnite!

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Devs Explain One of the Best Open World Weather Systems in Gaming

TheArt

My only problem with rain in open worlds is when your character starts some long chatter with someone and it starts to rain...like can't you see it's raining...Geralt be discussing witcher contract payments with poor fellas in the rain! That would be a lot of work to make characters react in real time to rain not the usual holding of umbrellas. They'd have to program and animate for the characters having the dialogue to go under a shed and continue their talk 😆 I trust a dev like R* or ND to pull that off.

Re: Poll: Do Crimson Desert's PS5 Patches Put Other Devs to Shame, or Is the Game Simply Unfinished?

TheArt

@DennisReynolds i like how you're being honest about the game, after so many hours with it I reckon. This is why I normally regard reviews because a verdict is giving after the game's completion or several hours after, not those extra excited 5hr playtime brand new game spur of the moment 10/10 User review scores. We'll see how people actually feel about this game months later.
