@jrt87 Exactly, I also found the worldwide acclaimed most difficult Malenia easy, but struggled against this fackin Consort. So yeah it all depends on your build.
Same same. Hunting & crafting in MH Rise Sunbreak & World Iceborne. Still looking for a Rathalos Mantle in Iceborne just for the pinkish Corona s&s tsk.
Looking at all the videos on YT, feels like Atlus is doing their own full gameplay walkthrough and we don't need to buy the game 😆. But hey this is how confident RDR2 and ER were prior to release so...
More and more of the fantastic MH Rise Sunbreak. Just love the vivid, sharp, cartoony style graphics along with the obvious fantastic gear. Will probably jump a bit into World Iceborne as well, I feel like there's still monsters I haven't met even after 1500+hrs.
Maybe he's been sarcastic and indirectly telling the head honchos at Capcom that, they've allocated all resources to Monster Hunter he didn't think anybody cared about his dear old Dino Crisis.
Just repelled Wind Serpent Ibushi in Fashion Hunter Rise, a few more quests to start Sunbreak. Think it'll be mostly that this weekend, maybe a bit of TLOU2 3rd run.
Glad they're recognizing some people like games solo and implemented this from Sunbreak. Then again I think the palicoes, tailraiders and palamutes are companion enough, but it's great having the humans too.
Well it's okay that it's all there but there was an element of surprise when you started a new game with a different gender and saw the different armor sets.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner "95% of the time you don’t even notice your armour anyway."
C'mon what a blatant lie! A big part of MH is the wonderful armour.
At this point, don't think I need a trailer or gameplay vid to be sold on MH. It could have sweet cartoony graphics like RiseSunbreak or lean towards realism like WorldIceborne, there's still a lot of FUN to be had hunting and crafting lovely gear. Other devs underestimate the joy in hunting & crafting.
@breakneck I'm at 2000hrs+ for both WorldIceborne & RiseSunbreak strictly SINGLE PLAYER. Forget that played out MP rhetoric, still a lot of fun to be had in SP.
Trying a 2nd run of MAFIA DE. Still on MH Rise, some Iceborne probably. Plus, back on the GOAT - RDRII on my 4th run still. Aaaannd will probably return to Shadow of the Erdtree.
@colonelkilgore Funny how I bought GTAIV twice, 1 on PS3 1 on 360, but here I am, can't even get to play it anymore. Shocking we don't have a PS4 port at least yet, like RDR and people say R* care so much about money.
Yeah take your time and work on the immersion and give us a decent horse while you're at it. Torrent is fluid and more realistically animated than all your AC steeds combined, and that was FromSoftware's first attempt. As for RDR2, y'all won't even try and get to that level so forget it.
Generations is done. Consoles are going PC. You're going to get the best experience on the latest hardware, after all consoles are releasing faster than games these days. Games are going to release on as much platforms as possible to make up for the rising cost in production. There aren't going to be much PS6 exclusives, most are going to release on base PS5 also.
@Logonogo @Colour Using Dual Blades or Sword/Shield makes for faster gameplay. Using that huge buster sword - my favorite - is slow, as it should in reality, you miss a lot of hits but when your attack lands...is so satisfying. That's the realism in the gameplay. Watch a monster's weakness - say Ice - craft a weapon with ice elements, and if the monster attacks with fire, craft gear with fire resistances. Things like that is just the tip of the iceberg, game is deep.
@Colour @Logonogo I used to be like y'all till it clicked, now I'm closing in on 2000hrs spent on World Iceborne Rise. Hunting and crafting wonderful gear is a joy. The mechanics are deep, it becomes enjoyable when you understand them. Keep trying, it's now one of my favorite franchises of all time!
Still on my MH World Iceborne Rise. If I had to add cumulatively I'd say I've crossed 1500hrs. Monster Hunter is just so good! Will be back in the Shadow of the Erdtree after that Consort made me pack my bags and leave.
@Flaming_Kaiser Elden Ring doesn't hold your hand yet it's so easy to traverse and navigate. From Software's first attempt at open world and they completely nailed it.
Well, you can't really tell unless you tried and failed. Who knew R* could make online fun with GTA4, in the days when it was all about Call of Duty 4 Modem Warfare. See how big GTA Online is now but hey there's only so much you can do in some post apocalyptic setting, you can't have brand new guns or cars or clothes being added every month to keep people engaged, yeah there's Fallout 76 maybe, but that's wacky so it's believable when they add any type of ridiculous content, TLOU on the other hand is serious business - realistic, you can't add just anything. So yeah Bungie may have been right.
Great game but quite awful open world gameplay. Guiding winds often had you treading away from the beaten path, you end up on a fackin cliff when the path to your destination is downwards. Enemies spawning at every junction. Can't even forward time like a true open world.
@jvecc It's the PS Store showing you its powers. They like to remove standard editions of some games and leave only the deluxe with a discount that isn't too great.
Still back on MH Rise, adding some World Iceborne too, what beauties! Monster Hunter deserves to be Capcom's best selling. So much content, can't get enough of the hunting and crafting loop.
Always an eye roll when FromSoft protagonists are looking all silent and cold and tough then they let out this loud scream when they fall off a cliff. Like Yo I thought you couldn't speak.
People saying "asking about Wilds not being on Switch" is not out of touch. It is as out of touch as you can get, if investor bothered to watch 5 seconds of the trailer he'd know this will never work on Switch!
I've taken a break on this dude, it'll need time and a lot more leveling up so I'm back to the Lands Between to find Hoarah Loux, Radagon and co. Meantime, I'm back on MH Rise.
Interesting how consoles are now releasing faster than games. We don't even have a single new ND game out. And at this rate we can expect to have 2 consoles to 1 Rockstar game every gen.
It's just impressive when devs think about all the possible ways a player could go and make reactions to suit each situation. Rockstar are masters of this, like dropping off Trevor or whoever in GTAV and going back to see them walking somewhere and they react to your presence.
Think I'm on the last boss of Shadow of the Erdtree, this up there with the toughest bosses ever and yeah there's the incredible Bayle also to beat so I've just taken a step back and gone back to the Lands Between. We ignore the wickerman fire golems but they're also almost impossible. It's been so much FromSoftware for me these past few months I've just had to return to Monster Hunter Rise for a change. Just another spectacular Monster Hunter you just can't put down.
@Specky "For RDR2 and GTA V it's purely a matter of releasing the absolute best quality a game can be and that just holds up. The insane part is no other studio's copying that business model..."
Perfectly said! Ubisoft could make a quality game close to Rockstar's with their workforce but they're in a hurry to release hundred games a month. And to think Ubi's horses have been rubbish compared to first time FromSoft horse - Torrent, it's just laughable.
Shadoo actually sounds better than scadoo. Funny how I'm taking more photos in this game than games that have photo mode. Try riding Torrent to the cliffside before the first site of grace near the bridge at the Dragon's Pit - picture perfect orange hue in early day.
Still exploring every inch in the realm of the Shadow of the Erdtree. Met Messmer a week ago and told him to wait and that I needed explore a bit more, he's probably bored at the tower in his " embrace of Messmer's flames."
Got this shield and just threw it in the chest. I like my +25 MiLady against tough enemies and my +10 Morgott's Sword is still a force to reckon with against bosses. Not really a shield guy but I've been using it quite a lot in this SoTE.
Never really cared about user reviews when I used to see 1 star reviews on Amazon for a product like: "my package arrived late"......????? Anyway I'm more captivated by the world than worrying about difficulty, it's obvious these people haven't played Sekiro.
People talking about Nintendo always dominating the charts, I mean every parent, grandparent by default knows those games are safe for kids. They're buying it physical, no way they're leaving credit card details on their consoles trying to order digital for them.
Already beaten 2 bosses, they didn't take more than 3 tries each. If you're in a hurry and aren't going to test out the millions of weapons, level up and read item descriptions, you're going to suffer.
