Can't believe the game I have the most screenshots is Elden Ring. 600MB worth of screenshots, game's just too artistic. Trying to find more hidden bosses and areas in ShadowOTE, I've left that Consort bored up in that tower. And some evergreen Bloodborne on the side. Still on the fantastic Metaphor Refantazio but take breaks because y'know your average Atlus game can be overwhelming with all that TEXT sometimes. Plus tarrying in RDR2 and GTA5.
Honestly I like the design of this, followed by the Slim, base PS5 should've looked like these 2...why? The strip in the middle makes all the difference. Base PS5 is just too plain. If you're going to have a flat bland surface, there should be some sort of line across or something - like the PS4. Just the art side of me observing.
@TrickyDicky99 "If GT8 releases after the PS6 and is a PS5 game, then yes, I will not be buying it I've never bought a last gen game after buying a new console"
Still torturing yourself for no reason I see. Cross-gen games living rent free in your head.
Atlus are just good with the stories, nothing straightforward, still Metaphor Refantazio. Went back to GTAV, been ages, still aging well, timeless! Trying to craft outfits I haven't still crafted before after 6 years in RDR2 and hopefully uncover some new secrets.
@colonelkilgore You'd think if Rockstar loved money so much, they would've released GTAIV for PS4/5 like they've done with RDR recently. I miss it.
@ApostateMage 😆 Yep also still in Horseshoe Overlook and avoiding busting him outta jail. Y'know, it's like no matter what new games I play, there's just nothing like RDR2, nothing! Just keeps me coming back. It's in its own space, league. Timeless!
Metaphor Refantazio still. The group so far has been really serious, no Morgana or Ryuji to make you laugh somewhat. Louis guy just has so much style but is a bad guy. Will add some Persona 5 and RDR2.
"even the most scratched copy of GTA: San Andreas."
So I wasn't the only one who thought San Andreas was the most scratched game back in the days. Lent my new copy to a friend, who lent to another friend, came back really scratched. Bought a second one used - came heavily scratched, bought a third used - came fairly scratched and I think I stuck with that one.
Still Metaphor Refantazio. I just love the immersion in this game, it explains how a mechanic is possible instead of just slapping it on unrealistically like in other games. For eg. it explains a teleportation machine resonating with the protag in the gauntlet runner, makes it possible to teleport anywhere you've ever been. Townspeople react to how you're back all of a sudden when they thought you travelled far away.
It explains the protag's sword has an elevation magic that makes it possible to ride instead of running around town like an idiot when everyone's walking. Again townspeople react to how a kid's riding a sword about. Recruitment centres explain how bounty target information is available across all towns. The immersion is just sublime. Gorgeous art, superb soundtrack, diverse accents(it's not a Japanese setting, no need avoiding the English voiceover 🙄), outstanding gameplay. Game is just sooo good!
@Nepp67 Strange that the demo is a bit of the game but it didn't really do it justice. I read some critic saying the same thing, that the demo might turn people off and yes it almost turned me off. Full game is different, trust.
Outstanding 10. For a fantasy game, everything is just so realistic, the game manages to explain everything that'd look unrealistic why it's possible, that's how I like my games. Soundtrack is just awesome!
😆 Came here to look for the "tired of Soulslike" comments. I don't even play any Soulslike I play the originals from From. Still haven't beaten fackin Sekiro and need to return to that fackin Consort in Shadow of the Erdtree, why would I bother with other Soulslike to add to more challenges I'm not done with...
So why'd they even bother with the base model then, should've just waited and released Pro as actual PS5 in say 2023. Because it's not like people are missing a lot with most games still on PS4. Major games from ND or R* haven't even released yet. Hardware releasing faster than software, cart before the horse tsk.
They're taking advantage of people's fomo, which is not nice! Same with the Pro, same with everything, people who can't afford daily necessities are looking forward to the latest iPhone, it's ridiculous.
@Korgon Same here, Metaphor is all I'm playing, everything's so 10/10, art, sound, gameplay etc. It's just so neat riding your sword instead of running around town recklessly like an idiot, that's some nice immersion.
With all their money you'd think MS would just accept losses and sell the Series X at $300 or future consoles on the cheap, that would capture the masses worldwide. Then they can think of profit in the long run. Thought that was why 360 sold, an equally powerful console as the PS3 but cheaper.
@KyushuTrail Would you believe I got to the final boss in Sekiro and my entire save data for every game got wiped out due to system corruption...still hurts to this day looking at all those bosses I went through. Sekiro is just so hard because there's nothing really like leveling up like in the other From games.
Atlus are a genius when it comes to making music that stick in your head when you're not even playing their games. Back to back catchy soundtrack playing in Metaphor Refantazio. Elden Ring's main menu theme goes hard and it's just got a new partner up there. Started a new game because I felt trophies weren't unlocking in the demo, and I was right, I've had 3 trophies pop just 3hrs in the full game. Stylish art, beautiful towns, lovely music, it's just going to be Metaphor Refantazio for me for a long time!
Been looking forward to this for the longest time but I felt it'd be 87-89ish on MC cause critics might have had enough with P3Reload and SMTV all in the same year, so was contemplating getting it on sale. Yet it still managed to sit at 94 - I had to preorder quickly.
Sounds like good news. Got it installed. What got me sold was the variety of towns and lands to visit. Plus, so far the demo's soundtrack has been epic!
I mean zoomed out 3rd person or isometric are always kinda cheating enemies, you see everything ahead and around you. Over the shoulder 3rd person - you have no sideview to look behind but you also cheat taking cover but still see enemies without peeping. 1st person might be the closest to realism albeit you still can't look behind as quick as irl. But all games can't be 1st else there's no viewing your hard-earned beautiful outfits.😄
Future of multiplayer not gaming. But we're already in that future. At least Fortnite & co are free and not releasing each year at full price like FIFA and CoD. SP will never die though.
Xbox should've just gone with A, B, C, D. They just like to complicate things. Everybody knows it's PS1, PS2/3/4/5/6/7. But nooooo it's 360, One, OneX, Series S/X...sigh.
Atlus really have confidence in this. You'd think they've basically put half the game on YT but for a company that's so strict on spoilers that means there's a whole heap of content we ain't seen yet.
Well because those people can't buy every single game out there and review themselves. People don't have that luxury of time and money to be testing "creative off the beaten path" games at £60, perhaps they would if games were £10. Sites get review copies for free to give people an idea "before you buy!" Thought this is general knowledge.
Xbox of all people hasn't even released a Series X Pro because they know they'd still have to cater for Series S. It's all a bit pointless with these midgen upgrades.
All that power and price, still multiplat devs are still going to consider Series S in overall development and just going to give you San Andreas at 4K60 for £700.
