Crimson Desert studio Pearl Abyss has today concluded its deep dive video series on the upcoming open world title by revealing all the life simulator features and elements it has to go alongside the core experience. To keep it short, there's a lot.

At the heart of the game will be your base camp, the Greymane Camp. You can expand and upgrade your camp and its buildings, even going so far as to place objects and items yourself, like you're in The Sims. You can also make meals in a cooking pot, buy and sell items from vendors, and even set up your own farm.

The companions you encounter during the story will return to your camp, and you can also enlist help from mercenaries. You can send them to locations in the open world to clear out enemies and send them on missions. If successful, you'll get money and resources as a reward.

Again, the footage in the trailer is captured from a PC. To view the previous two Crimson Desert deep dive videos, click the links below:

Beyond the safety of your camp, you can explore towns and villages to pick up side quests and other activities. A crime system is in place, and if you're caught doing something illegal, townsfolk and guards will turn against you. The video above shows how you can get a bounty placed on your head.

Furthermore, you can go fishing, hunting, and mining.

Finally, the deep dive video reveals there is actually a degree of character customisation. You always play as the three pre-set characters, but you can change certain features, like their hair, tattoos, and outfits.
