Monster Hunter Wilds is fast approaching its first anniversary, but Capcom isn't ready to spill the beans on its inevitable expansion.
The news comes directly from producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, who's shared an anniversary message in video form. In it, he reveals that the game's "large scale expansion" is in development, and more information will be shared this summer.
In the meantime, Wilds is getting a bunch of new stuff courtesy of an incoming update and various in-game events throughout late February and March.

Highlights include the arrival of Arch-tempered Arkveld, 10-star Arch-tempered apex monsters, and new optional quests.
There'll also be a Monster Hunter Stories 3 collaboration quest, which rewards unique armour and a Stories-style skin for your palico. It looks weird, in a good way.
Oh, and the great sword design that won the fan competition is being added to the game as well.
