This is why I always find it silly when people complain about review bombing. It’s to get the devs attention. Once something is addressed, the same “review bombers” will go back and change their review. Unless a game really is bad, it rarely stays that way, yet people always want to get on a high horse about decorum etc when these things happen.

Sounds like maybe wait to buy until a few months after launch then, as we probably should do for most new games these days.

On the main topic, I love stuff like this. Shows there’s a lot more effort put into the world building.

He said nothing happened in real life but it’s been reported that he was planning to meet up with the minor at Twitchcon, so getting found out probably stopped him. Can’t say definitively it would have just been inappropriate messages. He was gearing up and his explanation sounded like a Chris Hansen suspect.

Saw a chunk of gameplay and it looks really intriguing. Would like to see how deep the systems and scenarios get.

They don’t show any actual skills, which is curious. Could just be stat increases. Again, we shouldn’t really think one way or the other right now, this team deserves scepticism until reviews or more gameplay come in.

I don’t understand why people in the comments are mad at them. All they’re doing is a protest to make sure their feedback is heard, rather than lost in emails and tweets. They’re not disrupting the game or any other players, so why aren’t they entitled to try and get an organisation to hear them? People here are really weird about gaming initiatives to catch a developers attention. They’d rather the complaints just go unheard and nothing ever changes.

Would he say any different? Would be funny if he said something like “Its still not as good as Origins but the combat is definitely more fun and engaging.”

Can we not just get an fully fledged RPG like the One Piece games? We tend to either get brawlers or gatchas. I find the lack of variety disappointing. Hoped we’d turned a new leaf after One Piece RPG and Sandland.

Why you gotta twist the knife in my heart Khayl? I still think this game is underrated for how smartly written and atmospheric it is. It took such a special confluence of artsy and politically minded creatives to make this, with no regard for mass appeal, that I’m genuinely worried we won’t see anything like it again. Would have loved to see the expansion, but it is definitely in keeping with the critiques put forth in the game.

Will come for the soundtrack, stay for the feels.

You definitely need a guide for some of the NPC quests as they can be somewhat obscure at times.

It may just be me but there’s something oddly off about this remake. The graphics and voice work seem great but I’m finding the distinct lack of Kojima’s artistic influence in some of shot framing and composition very noticeable. Say what you want about Kojima but he’s got style. This just seems a bit too straightforward for me for a Metal Gear game.

He said absolutely nothing. How did Tango Gameworks shuttering fit into the narrative of running a sustainable business exactly? Was it due to Sales? But they said it was doing well beyond expectations. Should have been pushed on that but we don’t really have that kind of journalism in the gaming industry i.e. confrontational. Just buzzwords. The more I hear from this guy the more I find a growing disdain.

So other games don’t deserve to be played by everyone? Bit of a weird line.

Does sound very much like Destiny pvp unsurprisingly, which I have been known to enjoy. Think it will play well and surprise people, even if I’m not interested.

Isn’t this game for kids? This is a bit weird. So long as they’re not asking the kids to work proper hours long shifts.

Only slight caveat is that the modding support won’t extend to custom arenas and quests etc, but still very cool.

@Jireland92 It has I think. I find the lack of empathy or consumer concern here disappointing. You’ll see a lot of comments on the site about people complaining too much about Sony, like they’re a football team that needs our constant moral support.

I’ve been waiting ages for this to come to ps5, haven’t touched it yet on pc after they had said it was planned. Glad it’s still on the roadmap.

Does look nice. I’d love to see more involved exploration games that work off what Death Stranding did but with their own vibes. A chill game could be very nice.

Quite excited. Loved the base game but some of the bugs were atrocious and borked a few of my late game quests. Would be great to come back to it with a chunky dlc in a more polished state.

@Titntin It was a general point in response to someone making a general point. The person I replied to wasn’t being specific, but moaning about people moaning. The point people have been making about Sony’s monopoly on anime streaming is very relevant, and I was trying to say that it’s just as valid as any other complaint people could make about Sony. You only have to go back a week if you want to see their anti-consumer tendencies, they pulled Ghost of Tsushima from over 200 countries because they don’t have PSN and threatened to do the same for Helldivers after people had bought the game.

The point was that criticism is valid. People moaning about people moaning when the reason is to defend a corporation is insane.

@Jay767 Such a silly take. As if anything goes as long as you make money. I guess as long as Sony is doing it there’s nothing wrong with exploitation or monopolisation and anti-consumerist practices. People love games and care about the industry first and foremost. There is no benefit to becoming a company mascot, Sony isn’t going to notice and send a couple of discounts.

Second album? Are we forgetting DOS2? If anything their second album was spectacular. Plus I think it’s been said they have 2 games in development, very exciting.

You’d have to be pretty confident to come flying out of the traps with multiple bits of media for the same universe. I always want more good sci fi though, so I’ll be hopeful.

The card system was excellent though, with quite a bit of depth and build variety. Shame.

@Colt22 Are you a Sony employee? This is an objectively anti-consumer thing to do, why should anyone be riding Sony right now? It’s a faceless corporation, it doesn’t need you to defend it.

It’s insane people think this was an overreaction. It was blocking whole markets with no PSN from playing the game. How in the world is that ok?

@colonelkilgore Listen to the current feud tracks. Not only has it been incredibly entertaining, but the quality of tracks has been so so good.

Always good to see more studios being backed, and games from different countries.
