@DreadfulDragon This is the same type of argument conservatives used to use to be against gay marriage. Next you’ll be saying beastiaiity should be legal by your logic. Literally no reason for this silly argument at all when being gay is patently not as dangerous as potential birth defects.

Why not just delay the game then? People can already buy it but it’s not complete yet? This is very dodgy logic and opens up all sorts of questions for other games, though suppose shouldn’t be surprised with the annoying Marathon trailer that plays on every page.

@TheDarts This site, particularly the comment section, is obsessed with notorious “haters” who are bringing down the industry with their negativity. Can’t go one comment section without someone bemoaning the negative opinion of some nebulous other instead of just stating what they think.

This month slaps for me. At least 4 games there I’ll be playing, nice.

This looks fun as hell with friends. Can imagine laughing your head off as you all sculpt monstrosities and the smash things up. Quench mode also sounds pretty cool. Love the creativity.

@nessisonett You’ve seen how some “Gamers” react to female leads these days. A lot of the studios making medieval games seem similarly precious about “agendas”. It’s a shame as there’s bound to be cool stuff you can do with it the setting.

Combat looks quite interesting. Hopefully the narrative is decent as I’m not entirely convinced by the world and setting yet.

There are also some really fun mods for BG3 being released. One the completely redoes progression and skills and introduces new classes, whole new classes from 5E, and a roguelite mod that introduces over 2000 new items randomly as you play. Convinced me to start a new play through and excited to check back in another year.

Never a bad thing to take time to improve the game. At least they’re listening to feedback and genuinely trying to address it.

Just give me another banging soundtrack.

Mission creator sound very interesting. Wonder how in-depth it will be, but I’d be willing to jump back in try some proper UGC missions beyond the mode offshoots that was previously possible.

The combat animations just looks so context heavy and specific, doesn’t make sense unless the game is extremely linear to funnel you but they’ve said it’s open world. It looks cool, but there’s something sus about the gameplay, would love to see a live demo/walkthrough.

@SeaDaVie There’s all sorts of sampling bias surely. That 51% could have already been part of the initial 40% that were going to buy it. Seems like an absolutely meaningless stat.

@PuppetMaster In a normal world it would have nothing to do with a music label though, the guys producing the anime would just go with who they like. That’s the point - in this world, the pool of who they like is going to be limited because of the new label association.

Looks insane but also feels a bit all over the place. I still not convinced by the combat, doesn’t look like it has that visceral feel but we’ll see I suppose.

Need a demo for this. I still need to be sold on how it feels to play and what the overall loop is, as it looks crazy in scope.

@Frmknst Insane take. People like you pave the way for enshittification, happily paying for less and less features as long as they give you a line to trot. They give you less clans and less RPG mechanics but that’s all good to you.

@Dorkthrone You can hire a writer. If you like immersion and exploring new worlds, good writing is critical. Mass Effect, Dragon Age Origins, New Vegas etc would be nowhere near as big if they didn’t have great lore and immersive writing. It doesn’t have to be the best thing ever for it to work, so when it’s clearly positive for it to be decent, it’s disappointing for people like me to see it’s not. You don’t care, good for you, more games out there you’ll enjoy.

Hype, the demo was excellent so would love another similar instalment.

@RudeAnimat0r Their writing is generally very strong so I have some confidence in this. Excellent studio that hopefully starts to cover up the cracks they’ve shown in the past.

People just have low standards, and as such we’ll continue to get messes like this because actually, the strategy works. Build a Rocketboy have made some money back.

Looked interesting but can’t be doing with FTP, shame. Would have liked to see how all those elements came together in the loop, but now there’s very likely going to be timers and currencies and inflated grinds…meh.

Looked really cool, I knew it was Suda once the blood started gushing everywhere.

@0niguy Looks like a straight mission based game with a heavy story focus. I was hoping for something more like Alpha Protocol + Hitman, but let’s see a proper gameplay loop, which we’ll get soon enough it seems.

Not much of a fighting game guy but it looked really cool. Could tell people would get excited, and it’s nice to potentially have more competition in the space. Designs are phenomenal.

Disappointing it’s a gacha, but then again I’m not sure the IP is good enough for a traditional RPG. Other than a couple of great and unique characters, the setting and story are fairly generic and forgettable. Would love to see some take the concept and really do something unique with it.

So so hyped for this. Owlcat are brilliant, just need to iron out their bugs at launch.

@Propaperpusher Garland is a decent writer. He isn’t just going to lift what’s in the game. If anything, there’s a lot of lore in Elden Ring and he’ll likely make it far simpler to understand.
