@EfYI IGN review was glowing, and honestly who cares if Eurogamer was biased, these are opinions at the end of the day. They’re always biased. I don’t get why people get fixated on specific reviews of sites they don’t even like.
@LikelySatan Nobody is looking for it, but if you pay any attention to what’s going on in the news you’ll come across it. Such a surface level understanding of what’s going there, describing it as “tribal difference” ffs.
@YoureTooSlowBro It’s not propaganda. It’s really not difficult to read a few books and understand history. Although that shouldn’t be necessary if you’re paying attention to what’s happening.
This all came about because of grifters on Twitter. Gaming discourse is dead, this should have never been a thing in the first place. Just play and enjoy games, and don’t play ones you don’t want to. Stop being miserable and forcing devs to defend their creative decisions. We are so cooked as a community.
Hoping for a gritty narrative driven tale where Ecco has to take down deep sea miners and oil platforms, whilst answering questions about the meaning of life and happiness.
One of the best written ever? Not sure about that. Seemed a mess to me, though it had some cool ideas. Very candid from Levine, wish more people would be so open.
Love to see it. Would love more demos in general, especially snips of some of the early access stuff PC gamers get access to for games that eventually come to console. No Rest for the Wicked or Hades 2 snapshot demo would be aces. Will definitely check this out.
@ShogunRok Exactly what I was going to say. There’s such a good foundation to build on, there’s reason to be exited. I’ll be happy if the story at least has a decent ending this time, but hope for more. It’s not a given that a sequel will fulfil its potential, we only have to look at Dragon’s Dogma…
Comment section is an embarrassment if you can’t see the insinuation. You want to moan about people overreacting but that’s the point about making such a poorly worded statement (if it even was poorly worded, he may believe it truly). Representation does not take away from art, bad art is bad art. If you’re willing to allow the insinuation that it does to take hold you are part of the problem.
@PorkChopExpress It’s an extremely creative medium that has top tier shows for any type of genre you like and can take liberties that tv and film just can’t pull off. A really great anime is an art of its own. Plus if you’re looking for dopamine hits in the form of ludicrous action set pieces, you won’t get them anywhere else. Some of the fights in things like Jujutsu Kaisen or Chainsaw Man could never really be done in live action.
It’s a bit tacky. So many important awards where devs don’t even get a chance to go up and get their flowers. It doesn’t feel like a proper awards show with that in mind, it’s a weird mix. Definitely entertaining I suppose, but it doesn’t know what it wants to be.
@neillaw CDPR have specifically said that answering this will be a key part of the plot of Witcher 4. It’s really annoying to keep hearing the lore excuse as if lore can’t be expanded on. Witcher 1 was all about a group trying to find out how to recreate the Witcher process. Blood and Wine had a subplot about Witchers trying to understand the changes that they went through and how to adjust them. All the games are set against a backdrop of losing knowledge of the Witcher process and the threat this is to Witchers as a whole since there may not be a way to make new ones. It really isn’t inconceivable that part of the next trilogy will focus on this.
People who want lore to be fixed forever befuddle me, it’s like nothing should be added or expanded on within the world. Just let them release the game and then judge it after.
@LogicStrikesAgain it’s obvious satire, you’re good. As if the straight male trash lines didn’t give enough of a hint. People unfortunately think that’s what us leftists are actually like in general, so fail to see the satire.
Unless proven otherwise, Rocksteady isn’t who they were and should no longer be afforded the grace they used to get to given how many have left. They should earn their reputation again.
@ozkrmz It’s basically a multiplayer mode. Is every multiplayer mode a cash grab? Sounds like they’re just catering to part of the fanbase, which isn’t a bad thing even if it’s not my cup of tea.
Fantastic, the kind of news we should see more of in the industry. Hopefully their talent flourishes from here onwards with a firm financial foundation.
Owlcat have been brilliant across this and Pathfinder. That said with so many changes, I’ll probably wait for the next DLC to do a new run with up to date builds.
@Weez So they should just criticise the writing and execution. Simple. The woke lists that mention BG3 definitively do not do so, they mention the content itself.
Combat and mechanics take some getting used to so curious how people will get on, but I gave the first one a chance and once I locked in I absolutely loved it. Nothing quite like it in terms of immersion. Looking forward to this because the first ends in a really annoying way.
@tameshiyaku This. I’ve always treated platinums as a way to say you have seen most of what’s worth seeing and become proficient in the game’s systems. If the hunt is just purposefully wasting your time then I abandon it.
Love it, but be careful - it will consume you once you realise how impactful some mythic paths are and you may end up restarting a lot to try new builds. Wonderful game and the devs have shown tremendous support.

Re: Cancelled Wonder Woman PS5 Game Was 'Gorgeous and Expansive'
It’s a shame because if Gail Simone was consulting I believe it could have been really good.
Re: PS Plus Extra Architectural Adventure Blue Prince Gets PS5 Release Date
Looks really interesting. Like a puzzle roguelike.
Re: Katamari Damacy's Keita Takahashi Returns to PS5 with to a T
This looks like an absolute gem. Quite heartfelt too, about fitting in and making do with who you are.
Re: Dune: Awakening Has a Release Date, PS5 Fated to Follow Soon After
Faithful adaptation is a stretch and a half. Looks a bit floaty to me.
Re: Rumour: Rocksteady's Next Single-Player Game Based on Batman Beyond, May Be a PS5 Exclusive
All their best people have left, this isn’t the team that did the Arkham games. I’d keep expectations extremely low even if it turns out true.
Re: Question Centum's Unreliable Narrative Adventure on PS5, PS4
I am intrigued, quite like art and vibe they’re going for.

Owlcat just keep getting better. Hoping for more games from them in general, but this is a fantastic Warhammer entry.

Re: Genshin Impact Maker to Pay $20 Million FTC Fine Over Gacha System
Sounds like a win. Would be nice if we could do without gambling mechanics but clear disclosure and warning is a step forward for at-risk consumers.

There’s a lot of scope to expand on this, could be interesting. Take it into a very Lost kind of direction.
Re: Persona Protagonists Are Invariably High School Boys Due to 'Mental Age'
Makes sense but I don’t think it’s a strong enough reason. You could spin it with a female protagonist and play into that.

I’ll always support more RPGs.
