I still have every game I bought digitally in the last 10+ years on one account or another and none have been cancelled. Which is more than I could say if I had bought them physically because I would of sold them by now /shrug. That's why I prefer digital.

Planet Crafter but will be playing it on Gamepass, that game was one I was going to purchase but will save my Money! Cultic sounds interesting as well, nothing else really for me.

Avatar sucks, played it on GP ages ago and it's well presented boring cringe. Might give Ronin a go but the rest are meh as well, average to meh mo th for me.

@Iaintgotnohands fair game, I'd like to see it also, Sony doing something for its fan base would be a nice gesture, after all it is us that have made them what they are.

@Iaintgotnohands I would applaud them backtracking but my point was that is literally the only thing that would please the protesters. So unless they backtrack there us no other way for Sony to address this situation and staying silent is the only other option, asking for Sony to address this issue any other way is fruitless. Sony would be asking for trouble, even more trouble that is.

What do people want Sony to say? It's crazy, there is nothing they could say that would please these people unless it was 'OK we will continue making physical'. How can they handle this? Anything other than backtracking would be attacked, staying silent is literally the only thing they can do.

PlayStation don't actually need to 'answer' to anyone. They have stated what they intend to do, there is nothing to answer. Live with it, buy games or don't but there is still nothing to answer or for them to even elaborate on.

Skull and Bones is actually still plugging along, a new season has just started.

It's on my to play one day list, defo a sale game for me, to much to play and to much coming out for me to play for me to pick this up right now. Glad it's doing well though. Not many Ubi games have landed with me in recent years.

Nice but I imagine it's a few years away so I'll save my hype. I do hope it'll be a SP game though along the lines of the classics.

Not in the slightest, I feel for physical lovers but it isn't my problem. I will continue to buy all my games digitally off the PS store and if I think it costs to much I will wait for a sale, GTA excluded of course.

I've been digital for years, 10+ and I've never felt like my consumer rights were ever a problem or at risk.

Inevitable in this day and age, I'm sure Sony are prepared, they would of known this would happen. Not been able to get on for a few days im on my jollies, seems to have died down a bit, quite surprising!

@Sunraku so 40 million to make a game must be pretty cheap there then 😆 either way when you command that sort of wage and the project you work on is finished then you can't be surprised when your employer gets rid of you. Nobody is going to keep an employee on at quarter of a mill a year as a gesture of good will.

Bungie are looking for someone to run Marathons UI development team, the wages are over 200k a year, something like 240k. I'm not saying that these people are on that much but when people earn that much money I'm not surprised at the cost of making a game and and all these layoffs. Silly money. I hate to imagine what the higher ups earn and this wage was just to work on the UI! Crazy.

Out of everyone I know that games on PS I'm the only one that frequently uses this site and I'd say they are all enthusiasts. The whole article and the magnitude this article is trying to represent is just one big LOL. Pushsquare is not that important.

So am I right in saying the headline is misleading? It says the petition has reached 200k signatures but the biggest one has less than 10k? It's in fact 200k over 15 petitions so it is probably the same people signing every petition? Edit: Never mind I'm on my phone and missed the first part of the story lol.

The in game timer is a massive turn off for me, I'll keep my eye on it but it's no day 1, it's one of my most hated game mechanics. Sounds promising but will more than likely wait for a sale like I am Saros.

Nothing's changed for me, I only buy digital anyway. I doubt it's much of a protest tbh. You can do this with most subs, threaten to cancel and all of a sudden they can offer it much cheaper.

Might give Crosscade a go some time, still plugging through various other games so will wait. All doom and gloom eh? Business as usual for me, nothing feels different at all.

Gunna milk this one dry huh? 😆 I get it but like others have said it wasn't Sony that created digital. Literally everything is digital, I think we did well getting this far with physical, it is the old way now and has been a while.

@Friendly I know how popular thd Switch is supposed to be I read about it as well but I don't actually see it happening. Only on media sites, I don't actually think they are. I know a lot of people over the years through gaming amd none are gaming on Switch or even consider Switch. More like a distraction that kids get bored of easily. Like I said some people will disagree but that's how I and literally everyone I know think about the Switch.

I think you're reading to much into it, it's not like consumers have much of a choice. To most it's either PS or Xbox, PC remains to expensive and finicky and Nintendo are non runners. I'm sure some here will argue PC and Nintendo are options but the vast majority won't. PS will be fine as I'm sure Xbox will be. Only on forums will this be doom and gloom and media sites will make a much bigger deal out of this than it actually is. I'm not saying it isn't a problem but console gaming will go on as business as usual for 90% of people.

The 15% sure are noisy 😆 I get it but I don't think it will make a difference, 5000 comments out of how many million? Sucks but it was going to happen sooner or later. Even if they did backtrack it WILL happen some time.

Yeah maybe, I still have it downloaded and will try it again at some point. The reason I still have it downloaded is because of the constant good things people say. You have inspired me to run it blind again as maybe I was wrong, I don't enjoy using guides and had this down as a guide only game.

I never buy physical anyway but I know people that do. This is a big step and they should offer clarity sooner rather than later. My gaming best friend of 20+ years still buys physical most of the time, he will be pissed when he hears this. He likes to trade or sell his games to try and get some money back in but I'm the opposite, I like not being able to trade mine in and digital removes the temptation to make some quick cash! Anyway I can understand peoples dismay on this one.

Bit dramatic, unless you're a dinosaur. Anyway if it helps Xbox produce better games I'm all for it. Tough world. Sony aren't much better, they laid off 200+ people recently but claim to have made a record 4 billion profit this fiscal year, tough world indeed.

@BamBamBaklava89 the one that sticks in my mind was finding your dog, I got back to the old lady's cottage and she just gave me some vague answer and there was no quest marker. After wandering around for a few more hours I took this as a precedent for the rest of the game and thought if the whole game is like this then it would be to frustrating. Might give it another go, can't think of anything else really off the top of my head, was a while ago. I did a few quests, got drunk, ended up in the stocks etc but that dog quest really bugged me.

Wasn't for me but I bought it for £20 in a sale on the PS store. Glad it's done well though, might try it again if I ever feel like playing a game and using guides/walkthroughs which is mandatory for this game.

Probably, but I might feel different when the time comes, I started putting money aside a few months back. It really depends on what it offers tbh. It would be quite a while before I got the new Xbox though, like 12 months or so after PS6. Either way I'll be getting one of them at launch (probably the PS6). This fear mongering needs to stop though, it's getting ridiculous now.

I dont like it but im getting the ultimate edition anyway. I don't care if the SP is short and sucks im buying it mainly for the online. The campaign is just something to play while I wait for online and to get to know my way around the map. I hope it's good obviously but I don't really care for the campaign.

They need to make a live service game with a decent SP tacked on, like GTA, Halo etc. The problem is when it's just a Live Service game, some work most don't.

Well it's estimated there are between 34 and 37 million GP subscribers so I reckon there's at least 50 million people that still play Xbox....how many of us actually buy games though is another story.. 😆 I can't even remember what the last game I bought on Xbox was. I'll be getting a next generation Xbox as well, simply out of habit, will get a PS6 first though.

My mate at work actually managed to get a reconditioned Series S for £150 the other week so they are still relatively cheap, at least in the UK.

I dont buy games on Xbox. Like ever. Ps5 is my main platform and I can't see that changing anytime soon.

Oh dear, anyway.... I wonder who the worst offenders are up to now, Sony or MS? They will all be fine, they have the qualifications to find suitable jobs and if not they will have to downgrade from their Teslas and join the rat race.

I'm just going to wait, no rush. I'll pre order a couple of weeks before launch, it's not like the digital version is going to be out of stock. Rockstar probably paid for the advertising and Sony want money. Price is nice though.
