STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl will come with a slew of PS5 specific features when it launches on Sony's console in November.
In short, it sounds like developer GSC Game World has really gone the extra mile. After all, the open world shooter started life as an Xbox console exclusive — so the team will be hoping to please a whole new audience.
In an official press release, the studio says that STALKER 2 is "fully optimised" for PS5, and it goes on to list the aforementioned features:
- Adaptive Triggers and Haptic Feedback Support
- Gyro Aiming through Motion Sensor
- Speakers, Lightbar, and Touchpad Gesture Utilization
- Tempest 3D Audio
- Trophies

Gyro aiming is obviously a pretty big deal, given how few shooters tend to actually make use of the DualSense controller's motion sensors.
On top of that, PS5 players can also expect the following graphical improvements on PS5 Pro:
- Improved shadow quality and resolution
- Enhanced global illumination
- Higher-quality reflections
- Improved volumetric fog
- Enhanced volumetric cloud rendering
Impressive stuff, then, and it's clear that the game's come a long, long way from its shaky debut in November of last year.
Indeed, we've already reported on all of the gameplay — and engine — enhancements that should be live in time for the PS5 version's release.
