Good luck to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, the upcoming first-person shooter which is going to seriously have its work cut out if it hopes to outmuscle Battlefield 6.
The large-scale EA shooter will drop on 10th October, giving it a month’s head-start on Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, assuming this rumour from the ever-reliable billbil-kun is correct.
He writes on French website Dealabs that Activision’s new game is due on 14th November, with a release date presumably planned to be announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live next week. The title will be available on PS5 and PS4.

Obviously the audiences for Battlefield and Call of Duty are slightly different, and the Microsoft-owned publisher has already argued that it believes its franchise is “too big to fail”. But if Battlefield 6 can stick its landing, then it’s almost assuredly going to steal some players away from Black Ops 7.
While it’s still a behemoth brand, it feels like fans have been turning on Call of Duty – especially with the recent introduction of out-of-place characters, like Beavis & Butthead. Make no mistake, this will still be one of the biggest games of the year, but it’s going to be interesting to see what kind of dent EA puts in it.
