And just as we published this article, Bend Studio posted that it’s bringing Days Gone’s Broken Road DLC to PC storefront GOG:
The Broken Road content was added as part of Days Gone Remastered, and includes news modes like Horde Assault.
So, there’s seemingly no plans for this game to be ported to Xbox just yet, but it won’t stop these outcries from occurring every single time Sony teases something even remotely cryptic.

Original Story: It’s happening again, folks!
A cryptic post from Sony first-party developer Bend Studio has brought out a bunch of bad actors within the Xbox community, all begging for a port of the supposedly “Xbox coded” open world game, Days Gone.
As spotted by our friends at Pure Xbox, a monocle emoji posted to the PlayStation team’s X (or Twitter) account has attracted an enormous amount of attention.
“Xbox port for Days Gone,” one assumed.
“Is it really happening?” another pondered.
At the time of writing, Bend Studio hasn’t actually clarified what its message was about, but its replies are absolutely bombarded by Xbox hopefuls, eager to take control of protagonist Deacon St. John.
This sudden influx of port begging is an issue all of Sony’s own creation, of course – it followed the unexpected announcement of Helldivers 2 on Xbox Series X|S with a job listing for a Senior Director of Multiplatform.
That job listing read:
“You will play a critical leadership role in shaping and executing the global commercial strategy for PS Studios software titles across all digital platforms beyond PlayStation hardware, including Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, Nintendo, and mobile. This role is accountable for optimising title profitability, ensuring cross-functional alignment, and leading a high-performing team focused on multiplatform expansion, mid-range commercial planning, and platform partner management.”
While one source said fans are getting “really carried away” with the job post, others have suggested more first-party PS5 games will be coming to Xbox. However, it’s not clear exactly which ones.
Sony, for the record, most recently said that it needs to be “really thoughtful about bringing our franchises off-console”, but that hasn’t stopped the rumour mills from churning around games like Marvel’s Spider-Man and now Days Gone.
This is all occurring at a time when Microsoft’s multiformat push has made it one of the most popular publishers on PS5, although with stagnating hardware sales and unprecedented acquisitions to fund, Xbox has been forced to explore its options.
PlayStation could put a lot of this speculation to bed by actually speaking to consumers and outlining its plans, but the firm only really communicates with investors these days, so expect the port begging to continue for the foreseeable future.
