Well given the history of its development, its not a shock at all. Its more shocking it made it to release then a writeoff

I just want the media to maintain the same energy they had with FF16 that sold 3.5 million out the gate with half the current install base. If that games a failure by their metric keep the same energy.

Well they published Dustborn and doubled their headcount to expand into multiplayer where they have no experience. Its clear the people with MBA’s but no understanding of gaming or appeal are running the show now. Wonder when it gets them shutdown

Why doesn’t nixxes do the remasters of the Ps3 games? Maybe add some value to the actual Playstation console?

They are doing their best to kill the hardware and gamepass. Microsoft leadership really wants to return people to game purchases over subscription

@Andee the former talent who made the original Dragon Age and Mass Effect likely havent been at EA for a decade now hence the dropoff in games with Andromeda and Veilguard

And with that, soon the thing formerly known as Bioware will be put out to pasture soon

Imagine if their own studios actually released at a proper cadence this gen. How much better could it be doing. The new management is very lucky to ride the coattails of old leadership

Sony should sit down with the publishers and just tell them either stop the ***** talk on ps5 or hey let an exclusive xbox release carry you and see how that does for your sales

@dskatter i can’t find myself support it either. But the main issue is that the studio and employees there probably have greatly changed since the development of Yotei. Across the western development field we’ve likely seen many older devs having retired in that period and as a consequence, talent across the western development field has greatly diminished as well as passion and love for gaming. Talking no one specific just an observation in general in western gamss

@ANJB78 for most games made by western devs especially. Its best to not preorder and wait as most seem to come out broken or reviews and gameplay might reveal its not for you typically

@Oram77 im not even saying anything bad, just a thought. Im sure it will in all cases sell very well and millions. You just don’t see companies frantically releasing daily trailers if the current numbers are not withint their predictive models

@Mattock1987 im assuming preorders are very far off what they had hoped for and are trying a barrage of trailers to try and get people interested/aware. Otherwise, if all was going well companies usually coast to the release and usually release just a launch trailer at this point and proximity

They’ve certainly been trying to pump out trailers so close to release. Very ominous pre launch for this one. I’ll be too busy anyway for this one. Maybe give it a go if they add to ps plus.

Maybe the media will stop crapping on the game at launch if it goes everywhere. But well also see how it restricts game development not focusing on a single platform

@UltimateOtaku91 UltimateOtaku91 i think outside the hd2d stuff, they are done with lower budget titles as they got to the point of oversaturating their own market. They have also gotten to that point with the 2d stuff in ny opinion but i guess it makes money. Other than that they just dont seem to take risk any longer resulting in less compelling products. And they wonder why they dont meet their insans expectations

The issue with the big conglomerates buying IP. They will rather sit on them then to sell them to be used even if its dead otherwise. Wasn’t into this game in particular but would have preferred it be finished

Literally all i want from them. I have zero interest in anything new they make. Just make a straight port improving frames and hd for PS and and PC port with native controller support.

All that with them burning money on live service. Imagine if they had single player games out there rather than just constant loss on their studios
