Previously available on Nintendo Switch and PC, Triangle Strategy has just been shadow dropped onto PS5.
This tactical RPG, published by Square Enix and developed by the team behind the Octopath Traveler games, was very warmly received upon its debut back in 2022. Critics and players alike have praised its strong storytelling, cast of intriguing characters, and rewarding gameplay.
It's taken a while to make its way to Sony's system, then, but we suppose it's better late than never.
If you're a fan of classic strategy RPGs like Final Fantasy Tactics — which of course is getting its own re-release next month — then we'd definitely recommend checking this one out.

It's also worth mentioning that through to the 3rd September, Triangle Strategy is going for 30% off on the PS Store if you're a PS Plus subscriber. That's down from its usual price of £49.99 / $59.99 to £34.99 / $41.99.

i never thought it was coming to ps i do own on the switch and got it for ps now also.
Huh, I didn't even know it wasn't on the Playstation. This one comes with high recommendations from me if you like SRPGs, Squeenix's best original title in a long time if you ask me.
Awful name; great game.
Don't sleep on this one if you missed it on Switch! It's wonderful. Absolutely gorgeous, good story, and really fun characters and abilities. Branching paths, some challenging fights... I'm off to look at the trophy guide and consider an eventual replay.
Kinda weird that they wouldnt release a Switch 2 version/patch alongside it considering it is a former Switch exclusive
Could not get into this game at all. Didn't help that the main guy sounded like a robot
@Kraven Yep, sums this one up perfectly. I have it on Switch and it's great.
@mariomaster96 It works on Switch 2 just like on Switch 1. Though I do wish there's a patch to take advantage of the higher res.
Snagged it on Switch a week or two ago for like $22 or so, and very happy to see it finally jump to PS even so!
@puddinggirl Thats what I meant. I'm ofc aware that the Switch 1 version can be played on Switch 2
Finally! I always wanted to play the other routes, but not on Switch. I'll go get this immediately^^
Really fun game and a reasonably gentle entry into srpgs

I had this on my Switch wish list forever. I finally got it used, beat it once, and sold it. I give about 7.5 score. I had my time with it, but did not feel like I would do another playthrough. Maybe years down the line, I could revisit this on PC if it was like $10-15. It certainly has some neat unique map designs, but I found aspects of the combat frustrating, and the characters didn't do much for me.
Finally a start to ending switch console exclusives from square who talk about multi plat. Bring the dragon quest treasure and monster games over
The trophy list is up for anyone interested. Has 100 trophies. A platinum...and 99 bronze. Anyway, glad to see it on PS5 finally.
Hasn't popped up on the north American store yet 😅
Great challenging game with cool mechanics and intense battles.
Other than the bad name ofc, I also felt like the story was weak for a srpg, specially the side character's stories which reminded me of the cliche and disconnected stories from the first Octopath game (Didn't play the 2nd because of this) in my personal opinion ofc.
But if you can ignore that then the overall note on this is great!
Absolutely adore this game and the genre. Good that it's on playstation, but switch or handheld PC are still the best place to play.
Time to sell my Switch copy! Is there any way Harvestella can be next?
Absolutely one of my favorite games of all time. It nails the tactical gameplay in a way so few other SRPGs do.
NG+ mode is also heavily rewarding.
another one down. Harvestella next, please.
Top tier game btw, high recommendation. I never finished it myself, need to get around to doing that.
Bad timing to Shadow drop this, since Final Fantasy Tactics is right around the corner.
What Square should finally release to the West though is Bahamut Lagoon.
Totally recommend. Getting the golden route is a bit of work (I straight up stumbled into it) but worth it.
