Switch 1 thrived because it was such a low cost barrier to entry. They definitely losing the younger generations and people buying 3-5 switches. The youth will further pushed towards the free to play titles

And with that, i can say i zero interest in a From game. Also better see IGN and the rest damning the practice of exclusives becauses its so bad right? Is Bravely Default remaster exclusive because Square would be the ultimate hypocrites as well

They out games no one wants anywhere outside of Sea of Thieves. Shame hifi rush sold so few but who the heck wanted Grounded, a pc style game in AOE, and no one absolutely no one was ever interested in pentiment

Eastern devs making games people want to play and have fun doing so. Like 90% of the games i play are from them and the upcoming slate of western games including all of Sony’s 1st party are so unappealing

So games that had previously came to Ps and sold very well are bringing new games that are selling very well.

@TheLotteryMan1 enchanted arms had ubisoft involvement. It was 360/ps3. Ik they delisted on xbox for sale like 1.5 year ago so we can hope

@Skeletor85 i dont think the western devs are pushing max profit by doing that. Just look at bioware, rocksteady and concord’s devs to name how it turn out for them. Ubisoft soon gonna go under for their part

@LavenderShroud gonna be alot more closings, especially in the western market. Alot of chasing on live service still showing its affects, and generally significantly less appealing games to the market from them with bloated budgets.

@Brundleflies21 probably still in that phase of curiousity. PS games had the same thing on steam at first but now sales have cratered there in comparison to how they forst sold. This being being one of the 3 xbox pillars gonna make people curious

@MrMagic true i remember i played highfi there with a 2 week gamepass trial. Played redfall for 5 min just to see. And that counted as a player

And in the process sony 1st party can barely put out games even with all the pc money

Definitely Astro bot was great, easily recouped money and will add more over time. It also be very important if games like these can help attract new/young gamers into gaming overall as well as pull them away from the forever live service games

@ChrisDeku yeah i feel the xbox startegy over time has simply frustrated players as well with how long and still waiting for most of these games.

Short marketing burst and associating games with the platforms seems the best. Doesnt hurt to help prop up 3rd party games. They still see 30% of the sales regardless and makes extracting games that much easier from their emerging markets sectors

@themightyant yeah its insane and right there with you in not keeping up lol. Nintendo live or die on their content but now pn ps5/xbox its again about scope of impact given theres less air for games to breathe these days. Its why even with all its acquisitions and supposed lineup, xbox consoles partially fant get traction. established Libraries, impactful timed/permanent console exclusives, and despite what media says the xbox 1st games havent really been more than mediocre to draw people times from the glut of 3rd party games elsewhere

@Oram77 yeah i dont really seen a content issue. It sucks we are lacking games from playstation themselves but just looking at stuff from last night, theres so much 3rd content coming and all the xbox ports just makes it even bigger. 1st party makes defining games but are less needed these days from a content filling point
