You may have forgotten about this one, but back at The Game Awards 2025, developer GPTRACK50 announced Stupid Never Dies, a fast-paced action RPG that looks mad in the best way.
Headed up by ex-Capcom producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, the game is looking like complete mayhem in its latest gameplay trailer:
It really strikes us as one of those games that'll divide opinion; some will love its vivid pop-punk aesthetic, rapid progression system, and chaotic combat, but all these bold choices will attract some hate too.

We reckon it looks like a lot of fun. Playing as a zombie aiming to revive his frozen girlfriend, you have what looks like a ton of different abilities at your disposal, and there's definitely some musou-style satisfaction to fighting so many enemies at once.
It almost looks like something Suda51 would cook up, and we're definitely down for that kind of thing, but it's obviously not to everyone's tastes.
The game is heading to PS5 later this year. What do you think? Are you interested in Stupid Never Dies? Tell us in the comments section below.

I tend to love colorful, off-the-wall stuff like this, especially if it gets bad reviews
Personally, I absolutely love it. This is the most Sammy Coded game I've seen in quite some time.
So it's some kind of musou rogue-like/lite? Looks fun to me.
Can't forget the style meter too! Looks fun as hell I can't wait!
I wouldn’t say I’m in the hate category. Hate is too strong a word. I dislike what I’ve seen of the style of the game, but am following it because… well, it’s bonkers… so you never know how those types of games turn out. I’m one of those dopes that buys Suda51 games, after all.
Not for me, but hope people like it!
Good to know I will never die.
A few things raised some eyebrows, or were even slight turnoffs. The combat though was intriguing. That might be enough to get me to kick the tires on this. We'll see.
@Czar_Khastik Your name will live in infamy like the Xbone.
Great name for a game and you can also apply said name to many of the commentators here on Push Square, we all know who they are.😘
It was one of the better games of the show, there was some good Lollipop Chainsaw energy with it and a little colour goes a long way when done right. Few other games stood out and I spent most of my time chatting to what seemed like the entire Ready or Not playerbase. LiveChat opened 2hrs early. The Moonlighter's dev's new project reVamped looked like an interesting take on tower defense too. I'm curious to see what people will think of that bike game, it looked like Pacific Drive, it was called 'Quite the Adventure' or something like that. The new Life is Strange looked promising too.
It exists on this earth.
It looks like the best game Suda 51 somehow didn't make.
@GirlVersusGame Pacific Drive is excellent, anyone who hasn't played should.
I fail to see why people would hate it.
@freddquadros So far 30% do haha.
@somnambulance Agreed. The word "hate" has been overused to the point of irrelevance.
"Love" too for that matter, which is why I did not take part in the poll. There needs to be a middle ground option. Not everything has to be black and white.
Watching the video causes headaches for me, a wild blend of motion, shapes and colours, really stressful imo. Compared to that, Bayonetta 3 was a Zen garden.
@Quintumply I miss the option
„I don’t care, I wouldn’t even claim the game when it‘d be a monthly game in PS Plus Essential“
@LifeGirl exactly. I’m firmly in a “right now, I don’t like what I’ve seen, but maybe I’ve not seen enough” kind of place. I’m in a “I don’t have a very strong feeling attached to the game” place too. And could get to a “I didn’t even realize the game came out” place if it doesn’t get much press! 😂
I'm completely indifferent to it. The only thing I remember about that announcement trailer was that it felt much longer than it needed to be and reaaaally dragged on.
I need to see more but as marathon showed me, I can dislike what I hear and see from trailers but when the game's out things can change. I hope it finds an audience, we definitely need more crazy and creative games like these, even if they tend to fly under the radar
