The more I see of this game the more excited I am for it. It looks great both graphically and gameplay wise, I’m sure the story will be really good too, can’t wait for it.

I wasn’t that impressed with the demo, I rent up to 3 games at any given time and I’ve took Anthem off the list because I’d rather be renting Crackdown 3, Metro Exodus and Far Cry New Dawn all which are out the same day on 15th then Dirt Rally 2.0 on 22nd, the fact I’d rather be playing those 4 games over Anthem says it all.

BFV selling 7 million copies means it was a success, regardless of what EA says, it is their problem for setting their sale expectations so high. Where they hoping to match RDR2’s sales or something? Personally I’m loving BFV, IMO it’s an improvement over BF1 with better weapons, vehicles and maps. Looking forward to seeing how it’s battle royale mode plays.

How many times have we seen these things happen over the years? They’ve been hyping this game up for a while so they must of known that this would happen, you’d think that they’d make extra servers available to prevent this from happening, like make as many servers as they possibly can.

I played the original on release when I was 10, I loved it but I never did finish it. I’m definitely going to finish it this time though, now it has modern controls and over the shoulder camera.

I spent a good 10-15 minutes in the intro at the petrol station, just soaking up the atmosphere and taking in all the little details in the environment and it is very detailed, not even the chocolate/candy bars have blurry texts on them, you can clearly see word for word. Probably the best remake of a game this generation.

There’s certain zombies which can’t be killed, how are we supposed to know which ones they are without emptying a full clip of bullets into their head? I know Tyrant can’t be killed, it’s the regular scripted zombies in certain situations, like the first zombie cop you encounter at the police station after the human cop gets ripped in half, you can keep knocking the zombie to the floor with a few headshots but he never dies he just keeps getting back up.

Pretty sure you don’t need to have pre-ordered the game to play the demo, I’ve not pre-ordered it and I have the option to download the demo on both the Xbox and PS4.

Edit: Re-read the article, I wouldn’t be surprised if the demo will lock me out playing it till the 1st February.

@nessisonett IMO PUBG is the better game overall, more tactical, tense, mature, can go prone to hide in bushes and high grass lands, has vehicles, larger maps, realistic weapons and it just feels much more satisfying getting a kill and evading if outnumbered or low on health/ammunition. It’s one of the best battle royale games out there, Fortnite doesn’t appeal to me with its child friendly graphics, OTT weapons and it’s whole building thing. I’ve said before it’s like comparing GTA (PUBG in this sense), a serious and more superior game, to Saints Row (Fortnite) with it's silliness and OTT gameplay aimed to be more fun but still a less superior game to GTA. Fortnite is more popular because it’s free and appeals to the kids more but that doesn’t make it a better game. PUBG is currently £6.49 on CDKeys but it’s only the Xbox One version.

I see there’s still people out there wanting a slice of Rockstar’s pie, first it was Niko Bellic’s voice actor wanting more money when GTA IV made R* an absolute fortune. Then rapper Daz Dillinger (who?) claiming two of his songs was in GTA V without his permission, assuming he was he hoping to sue R* or claim royalties. Lindsey Lohan tried suing them for her “likeness” of the Lacey Jonas character. Now this real life Pinkerton agency, kicking up a fuss because their agents in the game are portrayed in a bad light, I bet some of their agents have the game and thought it was cool that they were in it.

Really don’t understand why they are making Rush a time limited game mode. I mostly play Conquest but Rush has been in BF since Bad Company, baffling they would do this to one of the most popular game modes in the series.

@munkondi There’s a large loyal fan base within the BF series. But I think they need to go back to their roots and make BF great again, either by making Bad Company 3 or similar to BF 3/4. If the next one isn’t set in a modern warfare era then there’s going to be a lot of eye rolling, even from the loyal fans like myself. I miss the helicopters, drones and strapping multiple C4s on to a quad and driving it in to a tank then detonating it, yeah I was one of those players lol

Loved the demo, was disappointed when it ended so I can’t wait for the 25th! I got to the part where the fat zombie was facing a vending machine then it cut short when the 30 minutes was up. I played RE2 back on the OG PS but don’t remember certain zombies couldn’t be killed. The first cop zombie you encounter in the demo just kept getting back up every time I shot him in the head but when I killed another zombie in a different area I blew it’s head off after a few shots and it was really dead, never got back up at all. I do feel some zombie was like bullet sponges, especially the lickers I’ve saw in some gameplay videos.

I consider myself a big Hitman fan, have been since Codename 47 but even I can’t justify paying £50 for this when I’ve got both on backward compatible on XB1. I’d definitely get it at £25 but until then nah.

I’ve just finished TLoU Remastered and Left Behind today for the 2nd time (first being on PS3) so I can wait another year for Part II, not worried if it’s waiting to be released on PS5 because no way would they not release it on PS4 with it’s massive user base.

When booting up the game for the first time I shall be going straight to the sound settings and turning the music down to zero then, the only screaming I want to hear is when I’m slaughtering demons and the undead.

@get2sammyb Apparently WB have sent press emails out saying it’s going to be £44.99 and will be digital only. I’ve got both games BC on Xbox One so I’m not paying £44.99 for this, I’d pick it up in the sale sometime for half price though.

@RawnDawn I’ve got them backward compatible on Xbox One, I’ve seen plenty of games on there that have received free 4K, HDR and 60fps updates which is why I asked about this HD collection, I might actually consider getting it if it’s cheap enough like no more than £20.

Edit: Just read the updated article, $60!? There’s no way it’s worth that much, for that price I’d expect another Hitman title thrown in and all running off the same engine as last years Hitman 2. We’ll just have to wait and see how much it really is.

@CK97 Interesting, I’ve got TLoU Remastered but no PS Plus so I wouldn’t be surprised if the servers are dead after being out so long but also can’t find out anyway due to no PS Plus to play online or can I? I never tried because I only play PS4 exclusives for single player.

After spending a lot on games last year, I’ve already told my missus there’s only one game I want to buy this year, Days Gone but what do I tell her if TLoU part 2, Ghost of Tsushima and MediEvil all come out this year? She makes a point of me renting games so it’ll be hard for me to argue otherwise.

Is the multiplayer in games like Last of Us and Uncharted actually any good? I’ve never played them in multiplayer as I thought with them being purely made for the single player story that they were added on as an afterthought and would be rubbish, maybe I’ve missed out but bet it’s the main story that makes the games what they are.

What about those of us who already have the games separately? Will they be updated with 4K 60fps? I’d say I doubt it given that they are originally last-gen games, therefore would have to pay extra to get this HD collection. As much as I love Hitman I’m not sure I’d want to double dip just for 4K 60fps and when I’ve already 100%’ed both games several times since they were released.

@ShogunRok Well if you do add MKX in the next update you’ll be making quite a few people happy judging from the comments, also maybe don’t put it last place otherwise people will be wishing a fatality on you ☺️

@ShogunRok You mean MKXI as in MK11? That’s an entirely different game, well sequel. MKXL should of still been considered for the list. Are there any other fighters on the list that have pending sequels? If so shouldn’t they have been made void for the list also?

What if half way through the game your bike kaputs? Would you have to start over or could you slog through to the end without it? Either way I’m very interested in it and will get it day one unless it turns out to be a disaster but hopefully it won’t be.

The only games I'll be buying from now till February are RE2 and Days Gone, the rest I'll rent and I'll definitely be renting Metro Exodus after finishing the other two in the series.

@Badboyfx86 I'm really hoping Crackdown 3 will at least be decent with the amount of time it's been in development and all the talk and hype MS gave it. I just don't see how you can collect orbs on rooftops when buildings can be levelled? I'm also still not sold on the whole cloud thing, suppose I'll just find out in couple of months time if the game doesn't get delayed again that is.

@Badboyfx86 Yeah I can see a PS5 Pro happening in the middle of the PS5’s life cycle, with 8K upscaling and 60+fps, would be a beast of a machine.

I totally agree with this review, I’m just not enjoying it at all. I loved JC 2 & 3 though but here the missions just aren’t fun, the graphics really do look like they are from last gen. I was close to pre-ordering the gold edition last month at £79.99 but I’m so glad I never, I rented it instead. I stupidly voted this 6 points in the PS Readers Game of The Year 🤦🏻‍♂️ I hope @KratosMD changes it to Battlefield V, best multiplayer imo.

Layden would of purposely called it an early night to prevent himself slipping up about revealing any PS5 details and dodge any questions about it. Him saying “see you in the new year” makes me think Sony are going to reveal the PS5 but most probably not till near the end of the year. I won’t be getting it at launch, most likely will 2-3 years after release when more exclusive are out for it. Looking forward to see what it’s offers, surely native 4K and 60fps as standard.

Don’t understand all the hate this game is getting, I’m loving it, the single player campaign was very short, can be finished in a few hours if you rushed it but it’s the MP where it shines, I’m currently working towards unlocking the 1000kg bomb for the Stuka dive bomber, I’m going to be an absolute menace once I start dropping that beast upon tanks and groups of enemies, then they will run in fear once they start hearing the screaming siren every time I dive 😆

Looking forward to seeing how it’s battle royale mode will play out.

Gutted for Hitman 2 it’s a great game, one of a kind, nothing out there quite like it. It really doesn’t deserve to be selling so badly, unlike some others that are somehow fairing better.

I’ve got the ultimate edition so I could of went online the other day but I usually finish the single player part of a game before I even touch online, I’m only at the start of chapter 3 so got plenty to do. The online is in beta so I think I’d rather wait till Rockstar have released it properly with no issues, plus any progress made may not even carry over when it releases out of beta.

To think I was considering buying this for £79.99 at launch, so glad I never. I don’t think it’s half price in the UK but if it was I’d likely buy it, got a rental copy right here but it’s one of those games I’d play all the time so I could justify buying it. Really enjoying it and can’t wait to see how it’s battle royale mode plays.

Just Max Payne for me. I cannot believe Infamous Second Son and First Light bundle hasn’t been in the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.

I remember when this came out when I was 9 and instead of playing it (was too young and scared to play it on my own) I just watched someone I knew play it. Even though I’ve now got the HD version I still can’t bring myself to go past the first part after entering the mansion, let alone attempt to complete the whole game. I’m still going to buy the Resident Evil 2 remake though.

Some great deals right there. I’m still happy with my 55” Samsung KS8000, when I got it a few years ago it was about £2,000 and I imagine the 55” Samsung NU8000 that’s on the list above is similar and that’s only £729 right now at Argos. If I ever upgrade I think I’d go for a 65” LG OLED tv seeing as they are no longer selling at silly prices these days.

People should do some research when buying a new tv for gaming and checking if the tv has premium UHD, decent HDR and input lag. Better than just buying a low priced tv straight away then being disappointed that it’s not as good as you’d though it’d be.

It’s been a complete disaster for Bethesda so far and I can only see this as damaging for the brand. Best way to redeem themselves is to make a brand new game engine that’s fitting for the next gen consoles, PS5 and Xbox 2 (or whatever they will call it) and showcase it with either TES VI or Fallout 5.

@get2sammyb We seriously need to start tracking digital sales, if physical sales are really low people are going to assume it’s flopped but for all we know it’s digital sales could be through the roof and well on its way to reaching its sales target.

I’ve yet to start the new levels properly as I’ve just finished playing through the first Hitman again but the Legacy version which is incorporated in Hitman 2 and uses it’s mechanics and new (minor) graphical update. I really hope it sells well because I’d hate to see Hitman not get another release, it’s a one of a kind type of game, no other game out there like it.

@Wazeddie22 I was honestly about to post something along the lines as your post before I came to your comment. I’m also partly deaf and if there’s a movie or programme on Netflix, TV or DVD that doesn’t have subtitles I wouldn’t watch it all because I know I wouldn’t be able to fully understand what’s going on or being said. My wife who isn’t deaf at all even watches everything in subtitles, even when I’m not in the room, some actors may have strong accents that a person with perfect hearing may struggle to make out what was being said.

On topic, other than this Spyro trilogy and Alone in the Dark, I can’t name any other game off the top of my head that had no subtitles, when Activision said “there’s no industry standard for subtitles” they could of fooled me since almost every game I’ve played since the PS2 and OG Xbox days, games had some form of subtitles whether it was in cut-scenes and/or gameplay.

I’ve finished the first couple of worlds in the first Spyro and I’ve not even noticed that it was lacking subtitles till I read this article. I suppose I’ve been enjoying the game too much to even notice or care but I agree with others that in this day and age everything from movies and games should have the option for those of us who wish to use subtitles.

Disappointed that Infamous Second Son and First Light bundle isn’t in the sale, only really want that, GTA III, Vice City and Max Payne. San Andreas is £3.99 in the sale but not the others.

@3MonthBeef It’s certainly going to be interesting to see whether or not the PS5 will offer backward compatibility because if it doesn’t then I’d imagine it’ll be a tougher pill to swallow for those wanting one. Even if it does offer BC I doubt it will have a full library of games from day one, as we’ve seen with Xbox One, yes it now has over 550 games across the 360 and OG Xbox that are now BC on XB1 but it took 5 years since it launched to build up that number.

My guess is Sony is skipping E3 to have it’s own show to announce the PS5 and that the upcoming exclusives like TLoU Part 2, Days Gone etc will be playable on it with it having backward compatibility for PS4 games. I wouldn’t be surprised if it releases by the end of 2019, I’ll still be happy with my Pro by then though.

@Th3solution I honestly don’t think RDR Online will be anywhere near as popular as GTA Online, it’s got a huge map but not a lot in it compared to GTA V’s and the only mode of transport is horses and stagecoaches. Apart from new online missions, what can they keep adding with updates? New breed of horses, weapons and clothes, what else?

As for PUBG it’s still not perfect but it has come along way with constant updates since it launched on Xbox, it plays and looks a lot better now and at least it’s no longer in game preview unlike most other battle royale games out there.

If Bungie and Activision ever part ways, I’d hope MS would snap Bungie up and get them back working on Halo, the franchise could do with them back at the helm.

@kyleforrester87 Great shout on MoH: Frontline, what a game that was, definitely up there among the best WW2 games. IMO it had the best soundtrack of any game, especially the menu music Operation Market Garden by Michael Giacchino, it sounds like something from an epic Steven Spielberg war movie, really captures the theme of war, full of sorrow then suddenly dramatic. Shame they don’t make games like this anymore ☹️

I played the prologue last night since I pre-ordered the gold edition, too early to make judgement but I’m liking the look of it so far. It’s been said the first Hitman is included and that it’s enhanced but how exactly has it been enhanced? It already had 4K and HDR with an option to play it at 60fps.

IO Interactive are now probably glad Square Enix cut ties with them the way the company is going right now, would of hated to see one of my most loved gaming franchise, Hitman, affected by them, if it was ever possible? I’m not that informed about the whole SE situation or if other IPs could be affected by them as a publisher.

I've not heard my Pro make any loud noises at all so far, although I have only played TLoU Remastered on it. I've heard my X sound like a hoover is on with some games, I've noticed it happening a lot while playing RDR2. Seems like the X could do with a similar upgrade as this new Pro...

I voted for Arthur, I liked John in the first RDR but the fact you can chose how you want Arthur to react to others is great, currently in the my first play through and I’m playing as mr nice guy but after I’m done with the story, I’ll start a new save file and be a right nasty b****** 😈

I’ve been making regular trips to the barbers but always only for a trim, I have my Arthur have a bald cut and a stubble, makes him stand out from the rest of the main characters and NPCs. I’m keeping his original outfit on for now despite owning probably every outfit in the game.

@JJ2 Yeah I realised after I earned too much that one trip with 30 gold bars for $15K would of been enough. It hasn’t spoilt the immersion for me, I’ll still do everything the game has to offer, just means I have the best start to the game with the best horse and upgraded weapons and no worries with what I can or can’t afford. I made a separate save file before I took advantage of the glitch incase Rockstar patched it and damaged/corrupted the save, just hope if they do that I’m not too far into the game but it’ll be on me if my save messes up.
