It’s been available to buy on its own for ages if you upgraded Miles Morales to Ultimate Edition which is what I did when I was subscribed to PS+ Extra. I think it was £20, I lost access to Miles Morales but gained Spider-Man Remastered which I kept and owned even without PS+ extra.
If it’s still possible to do it that way then that’s the way to do it but I’d be quick about it as I wouldn’t put it past Sony to close that loophole down, especially when they are charging $50 for the Remaster on its own. Of course if you already own the PS4 version then it’s better to pay the $10 upgrade fee.
@CRASH64 Of course it isn’t a crime, I was just pointing out that quite a lot of people are taking an interest in an article and poll of a game they aren’t interested in, there’s an option to see the poll results without actually voting.
@tallythwack Sounds like it’s going to be a messy night round yours, see you in Hell-A! (If it has cross-play between PS5 and Series X that is).
@SolaceCreed Do you blame me after last nights performance? 🤦🏻♂️
An end of an era. As we all know E3 has been on the decline for years but it was at its peak back in the early 2000’s, it was THE main gaming event back then but as others have said, times have changed and the internet has played a massive part in it.
Even though Geoff Keighley has his Summer Games Fest and other publishers have their own events to showcase their games, the internet can still be their undoing as leaks can undermine their events and anything they reveal will be considered old news and of no surprise.
This makes sense as the article states the dlc is a direct follow-up from the main game’s story. I’d prefer to finish the game before playing Burning Shores anyway. I’ve got a ways to go yet, only got to open world part after taking the lift down.
@Hordak You would think so wouldn’t you especially if season 2 follows Part II’s storylines but that person is a massive part of the show now so without that person I just don’t see how the rest of the show will be better for it. Many of us know there’s going to be a big focus on several new characters from Part II.
Sony had $18 billion to spend across its entire company while Microsoft is trying to spend $69 billion on just one acquisition for it’s Xbox division. Just let that sink in 🤯
He was most likely approached by Rockstar to use some of his music for one the radio stations in GTA VI. Although him being a character in the game would make sense after Dr Dre was in GTA V. If he does reveal some GTA news, wouldn’t Rockstar have made him sign a NDA? I imagine Rockstar are being extra careful these days after the infamous GTA VI leak.
Many of us will of saw that ending coming and no matter how many times we’ve seen it before in-game, it was still as gut-wrenching to watch in this episode 🥺
I can see what some people mean with Kathleen not seemingly fitting the role as a brutal resistance leader but she kind of reminded me of Negan from The Walking Dead (when he had Lucille) all calm and being evil with a smile on their face, characters like that can come across as unsettling.
@Flaming_Kaiser I’ve certainly noticed that it doesn’t look as it should but others on Xbox have been saying they think it’s fine but it’s really not though. I was just on it a couple of hours ago and didn’t see any update for it, it’s a bit too late for me now anyway as I’m at the end of Chapter 10 which is close to the end of the game.
It desperately needs patched asap. I’m playing it on Series X and it looks absolutely terrible, looks more like an early Xbox One/PS4 game. As others have said it’s got muddy low res textures and it just doesn’t look good at any point in the game even with performance mode off. I’ve seen remasters that look better than this “remake”.
@trev666 You’d think they would put it on PS+ Extra if they put it on Game Pass but it will sell best on PS5 and putting it on PS+ Extra would affect sales unlike on Xbox which wouldn’t sell that well.
@Bentleyma @WallyWest Wow I’m so glad I finished Part II recently or I’d of been fuming of that spoiler. I know the game has been out for over 2 years but they’ll be people out there who still haven’t played Part II yet and that spoiler is probably the most significant one to give away.
But yeah if season 2 faithfully follows Part II’s story then let’s just say Pedro Pascal would be making more of a cameo rather than being a lead.
“Can The Crew’s Sequel Finally Bring a Forza Horizon Beater to PS5?”
Funniest thing I’ve read in awhile, thanks for the laugh Sammy 😂
Seriously though The Crew didn’t even come close to any of the Horizon games, so for the sequel to be better then it must be absolutely amazing. I’m looking more forward to Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, which is more comparable to The Crew.
@LiamCroft I own both Hitman 1 and 2. I’ve just downloaded Hitman 2, went to the in-game store, clicked on Hitman 3 but just says that it’s not currently available, no option to buy it for £10.
I only play exclusives on my PS5 so I wouldn’t get a PS5 Pro for that reason but if it was my main console for third party games then I’d only consider the PS5 Pro if it was capable of doing full 4K @60fps with full ray-tracing reflections, ambient occlusion, shadows, diffuse illumination, global illumination. Basically the full bells and whistles, if not then I’d expect it on the PS6.
What on earth has happened to Ubisoft these days? How the mighty have fallen. They were one of the biggest video game publishers in the early Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry days, now they are just not what they used to be. The last few Assassin’s Creed were decent but their other IPs not so much. They should get snapped up by Sony or Microsoft to inject fresh new talent to make several IPs great again.
I’ve just finished the remaster to 100% today and will be playing Miles Morales tomorrow but only for the story. I’m looking forward to SM2 but I’m in no hurry to return to Manhattan anytime soon. I can see why they would return there for the web slinging as it wouldn’t make sense if the setting didn’t have skyscrapers but a lot of us will be bored of the sameness of Manhattan unless there’s much more to do and interact in and around the city. Also making it a living breathing city that actually feels it’s alive would be great.
Unless there’s a performance RT mode then I think RT is wasted when it’s limited to 30fps. I bet the majority of PS5/Series X players always opt for 60fps anyway.
We already know both consoles can do RT at 60fps, it’s just down to the developers to implement them both into their games.
@Bez87 I’ve never subscribed to NOW TV before so I was going to wait until all 9 episodes have released then subscribe for the 30 day free trial, watch all the episodes then cancel but if what your saying is true about only getting 720p with no surround sound unless we paid extra then I’d rather wait until I can watch it in 4K with surround sound on a different service one day.
Also the great thing about this is that both Hitman 1 and 2 will both be upgraded graphical the same as Hitman 3. I already own Hitman 1 and 2, don’t own 3 but completed it when I rented it so I’m not sure if this will be worth it to me?
@get2sammyb Is this even necessary when there is already a Trilogy bundle which is essentially the same as this? I feel for those who may have bought the Trilogy for £79.99 before seeing this news when you can buy Hitman 3 in the current sale. Also what about people like me who already own Hitman 1 and 2 but want to buy Hitman 3 one day? We’re going to have to pay more for the other two games that we already own? That’s BS if true, at least let us buy it at a heavy discount.
@itsfoz If you don’t own any of the first two Hitman games then yes you would be wise to buy Hitman 3 Deluxe Edition for £26.24 in the current sale.
@Hindenburg Most games are for people of all ages, Mario, Sonic, Zelda and even this. I’m over 30 and I enjoy those games. Although I’m not into the Harry Potter books or movies, I do like the look of this game and I will most likely be buying it because of how quality it looks and plays.
Games like Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol, I could understand if you mentioned them but games like Mario and Sonic have been enjoyed by people since the 80s and 90s respectively, to this day. They may seem childish games to you but they are loved by the majority of people.
Why would anyone care about what the box art looks like? No one is really going to be staring at it while playing the game, you know the real reason why they bought the game in the first place. Tsk, tsk what a ridiculous thing to get wound up about 🤦🏻♂️
@Digit2021 Why would Microsoft release Bethesda games on PlayStation? Same as Sony wouldn’t release their exclusives on Xbox. At least Xbox release their exclusives on PC day and date unlike PlayStation.
Even if the acquisition doesn’t go through it’s probably still not going to end well for Sony. Activision will not be happy about Sony being vocal against the buyout and may just let Microsoft/Xbox have the CoD marketing rights and day one exclusive content that PlayStation have had for many years. Also MS will still have $69 billion that could enable them to acquire other studios that in the end could mean even more less games on PlayStation.
It’s also not a good look on the FTC to block this when MS have made their intentions to release CoD on even more platforms than before to more audiences. MS have already said they would fight for this and do you think the FTC could do with the headache of taking this to court only to lose like all the times before?
@Deadhunter Your not alone, once I reached Alfheim I just felt no desire to carry on. I finished the story in GoW (2018) and really enjoyed my time with it but for some reason I’m just finding Ragnarok too tedious.
Looks amazing, I can’t to get my hands on a PSVR2 when I’m able to get a hold of one by end of next year. The thing I dislike on VR games is the floaty hands, it really takes away the immersion. Isn’t it possible to have arm animations instead of them being invisible?
@LiamCroft When you are able and when you get confirmation on which games from the original PSVR are playable on PSVR2 it would be great if you did an article on which games are playable. I’m hoping Resident Evil 7 and Doom 3 will be on that list.
I missed out on the first PSVR but despite PSVR2 being £529.99 I’m still planning on buying it for next Christmas for the whole family.
That’s such a shame, taken far too soon. I just thought earlier that I’m going to play Death Stranding tomorrow. I’ve already played the opening before and straight away I thought the music was great, I can see why it plays a big part of the game as it just wouldn’t be the same without it.
So when Jim said “we believe in generations” he clearly didn’t just mean future generations that we thought he implied, as he obviously meant past generations as well. This news confirms it with him also green lighting games from past consoles to be remastered for PS5. Wouldn’t green light Days Gone 2 but were happy to release TLoU for a third time and remaster Horizon Zero Dawn which is perfectly fine in 4K 60fps on PS5 and not even 6 years old on PS4? Makes no sense whatsoever 🤷🏻♂️
@Corc11 Being on Sky Atlantic is no good for me, I’m with Virgin Media and that channel is only exclusive to Sky. Can only hope it goes to Now as I could stream it from there.
@stvevan @IAmAshCohen17 If it does come to Now then I may wait until all the episodes have released then just watch them all within the 7 day free trial, otherwise it’s £9.99 a month for the entertainment package. Surely HBO are going to broadcast this outside of the U.S as there will be many people eager to watch this in other countries.
Is there going to be a way for us in the U.K to watch this? It says HBO Max isn’t available in my region yet.
I hope the first episode shows everything is fine and like any other day before all hell breaks loose, much like when playing as Sarah in TLoU: Part I before Joel turns up. Love seeing movies and games start off all tranquil-like before the tension sets in.
@Intr1n5ic It’s not about having a spending limit, I’d probably still get it even if it was £500 but that would seem a lot when the PS5 is cheaper and offers many more games that are bigger with many different genres. Plus PSVR is still a niche product.
@riceNpea The PSVR2 will be industry leading? Really? I see there’s a lot of other VR headsets out there that cost a lot more than this will, some of them are in the thousands and there must be a reason why they cost so much.
I’m interested in buying the PSVR2 instead of the Quest 2 but if it’s more than £350 then forget it, any more than that then it’s not far off from the price of a PS5 and Series X. It’s only a peripheral at the end of the day, no matter how fancy and “truly next gen” it is. It’s price shouldn’t be close to or matching the console it was built to play on.
11pm is too late for me, I’ll be asleep before then. I’ll just get all the info at once tomorrow morning. I’m hoping for a price and release date for PSVR2 even though I’ll most likely not be getting it till next Christmas.
They couldn’t of picked a worse time to do this due to the current global economic situation we’re in. I’m willing to bet a significant amount of players will not buy this game due to the high price so it could backfire on Ubisoft and impact their sales predictions/expectations.
Also while it’s seems good news that the new Assassin’s Creed will be $50, I have to ask why is it lower than the usual $60 for new releases? When I see a game with a lower price on release, it makes me think it must be smaller in scope and other factors why it’s not worth the $60 price tag.
Is it any real surprise that Saints Row has sold well despite it being “woke”? Young gamers these days, especially those who play Fortnite, would resonate with the Saints characters. I’m actually focusing on the gameplay and enjoying the game so far I’m glad it’s selling well but saying that I’ve only rented it, I definitely wouldn’t pay full price but if it was in a sale for £25 then I would.
I clicked and read the article as if it was a new PS5 Slim model but then as I read on I realised they’ve just reduced the existing model’s weight. I’m actually happy about that as I’ve only just bought a PS5 last week!
@Kienda I understand your wanting to stand by your principles but if you were considering getting a PS5 then now is the time to get it before you’ve got to pay any more money, if your wanting it brand new that is.
I really don’t see Sony reducing the price anytime soon and even if they do, are they going to take the extra £30 into consideration with the discount or are they going to completely dismiss that and reduce the price from its original £449.99? Knowing Sony it’ll probably be the former. Either way it sounds like your happy with your PS4 for now.
As for Sony not increasing the price in the USA, as someone has already said in these comments it could be that Sony wants to remain competitive with the Series X which is selling either more or about the same as the PS5.
I’ve just ordered a PS5 from Argos that was bundled with HFW. It’s still £499.99 so the price increase hasn’t been applied yet and there’s still stock available, if your still after a PS5 then hurry and get it while it’s in stock and before it goes up another £30.
What’s the problem with Sony not allowing Game Pass on PS5? It’s not like it’s going to affect their console sales, it would more likely increase it so that gamers get the best of both worlds by having Game Pass as well as still being able to play first party exclusives. Game Pass is everywhere now and it’ll soon be an app on the latest Samsung TVs, that will be just the start before it’s rolled out to every other major TV company like LG, Philips, Panasonic etc.

‘27% No, Dead Island 2 just isn’t for me’ Yet the 27% still proceed to take part in a poll of a game they have no interest in? 🤔 alrighty then.
I’ve got this installed and ready to play later tonight, I can’t wait as it’s looks great.

I hope the first episode shows everything is fine and like any other day before all hell breaks loose, much like when playing as Sarah in TLoU: Part I before Joel turns up. Love seeing movies and games start off all tranquil-like before the tension sets in.
Re: PSVR2 Is Truly Next-Gen, And Indies Will Lead the Software Charge
@Intr1n5ic It’s not about having a spending limit, I’d probably still get it even if it was £500 but that would seem a lot when the PS5 is cheaper and offers many more games that are bigger with many different genres. Plus PSVR is still a niche product.
@riceNpea The PSVR2 will be industry leading? Really? I see there’s a lot of other VR headsets out there that cost a lot more than this will, some of them are in the thousands and there must be a reason why they cost so much.
Re: PSVR2 Is Truly Next-Gen, And Indies Will Lead the Software Charge
I’m interested in buying the PSVR2 instead of the Quest 2 but if it’s more than £350 then forget it, any more than that then it’s not far off from the price of a PS5 and Series X. It’s only a peripheral at the end of the day, no matter how fancy and “truly next gen” it is. It’s price shouldn’t be close to or matching the console it was built to play on.
Re: What Time Is the Next State of Play Livestream?
11pm is too late for me, I’ll be asleep before then. I’ll just get all the info at once tomorrow morning. I’m hoping for a price and release date for PSVR2 even though I’ll most likely not be getting it till next Christmas.
Re: Ubisoft Joins $70 Game Train, Skull and Bones the First
They couldn’t of picked a worse time to do this due to the current global economic situation we’re in.
Re: UK Sales Charts: Saints Row Claims the Throne, Sells Best on PS5
Is it any real surprise that Saints Row has sold well despite it being “woke”? Young gamers these days, especially those who play Fortnite, would resonate with the Saints characters. I’m actually focusing on the gameplay and enjoying the game so far I’m glad it’s selling well but saying that I’ve only rented it, I definitely wouldn’t pay full price but if it was in a sale for £25 then I would.
Re: New PS5 Model Reportedly Lighter Than Ever
I clicked and read the article as if it was a new PS5 Slim model but then as I read on I realised they’ve just reduced the existing model’s weight. I’m actually happy about that as I’ve only just bought a PS5 last week!
Re: PS5 Price Increase Confirmed for UK, Europe, Japan, Canada, and More
@Kienda I understand your wanting to stand by your principles but if you were considering getting a PS5 then now is the time to get it before you’ve got to pay any more money, if your wanting it brand new that is.
Re: PS5 Price Increase Confirmed for UK, Europe, Japan, Canada, and More
I’ve just ordered a PS5 from Argos that was bundled with HFW. It’s still £499.99 so the price increase hasn’t been applied yet and there’s still stock available, if your still after a PS5 then hurry and get it while it’s in stock and before it goes up another £30.
Re: PS4 Outsold Xbox One by 'More Than Twice as Many' Consoles, It's Claimed
What’s the problem with Sony not allowing Game Pass on PS5? It’s not like it’s going to affect their console sales, it would more likely increase it so that gamers get the best of both worlds by having Game Pass as well as still being able to play first party exclusives. Game Pass is everywhere now and it’ll soon be an app on the latest Samsung TVs, that will be just the start before it’s rolled out to every other major TV company like LG, Philips, Panasonic etc.
