It’s a great game for PS4 players to experience if it does get ported or remastered, personally I’d rather it got ported so they could focus fully on a sequel if they even have it in the pipeline.

Because this was an Xbox 360 exclusive, does that mean a PS3 or PS4 exclusive like Uncharted or Spider-Man could ever come to Xbox if Naughty Dog or Insomniac ever want to release their games multi platform?

Although I can’t wait to get this I’d rather they fully focused on releasing it for next gen rather than holding back to optimise if for this gen but it’s all business at the end of the day and there’s money to be made with the millions of players already on both PS4 and XB1.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see developers being careful from now on when giving away a free game. I can see Peter Sark had good intentions but really all he’s done is made a positive situation and story turn sour and now everybody is having mixed feelings. He should of just been grateful and honoured to be receiving a game direct from the developer and be remembered as the guy who got a free game courtesy of Keanu Reeves but instead will be remembered as the guy who put CD Projekt Red in an awkward position, practically forcing them to donate to charity to avoid bad PR.

I think both the PS5 and the next Xbox will sell at £500 at launch then a permanent price cut the next holidays at £450. Think I’ll still be happy with both the Pro and X for at least a year after both next gen systems have released.

@BAMozzy It’s still a definite improvement over the original with new npc in cutscenes, obvious visual upgrades but yeah I agree it looks more like a last gen game rather than ‘built from the ground up’ for this gen. I have the original on Xbox One that’s X enhanced so I see no reason to get this unless it’s really cheap in a sale.

@LieutenantFatman There’ll be a plus version further down the line no doubt with a bigger screen. Shame about the Vita, I had some good times with it.

I think it’s best to wait for Crash Team Racing to release and then compare it to this game to see which is better before putting money down on it.

The question is, can you cause collisions and make trains come off the track when going too fast round a bend? If not then it’d be too boring for me.

It would never happen but imagine if Sony and Microsoft both worked together on a console to see off competitors like Google’s Stadia? I can see the name now, PlayStation X (PSX).

I’ll give this a watch as I’m loving anything GoW related at the minute. Currently playing my first play through and I’m about half way through on my way to Helheim. Never played the other GoW games and always wondered what the fuss was about with this one now I see why, it’s an amazing game.

At this point I really wouldn’t be surprised if EA shutdown BioWare after the mess from ME Andromeda and now ANTHEM. It would be a shame but they must be losing money and faith right now.

This game could of been scored even lower than a 7 and I’d still get it, I just know I’m going to enjoy it anyway as it’s my kind of game.

@get2sammyb What is the open world like to explore? Are there buildings like houses and shops you can go into for shelter and to scavenge? I like open world games where I can soak in the atmosphere and check out all the little details, like the contents inside of a house/shop.

@Deadlyblack I doubt we’d ever see that kind of resolution as we would never be able to see the difference, it would be a waste of tech as there will be a limit to what the human eye can see, it would be interesting if we ever see graphics in games as close to what we see in real life though.

Cerny saying the PS5 price will be “appealing to gamers” makes me think that he’s talking about hardcore gamers who would pay top dollar no matter the cost but the opposite, as in parents and very casual gamers, it will not be so appealing. Anything more than £449.99 I think it would be a tough sell to anybody who isn’t a hardcore gamer. If I hadn’t of cut back on my gaming I’d of definitely of wanted one since it has backward compatibility. Going to be interesting to see how MS responds with their new Xbox codenamed Anaconda.

If anything it would most likely just be 8K upscaled but I’d expect every game to be running at native 4K with optional 30/60fps.

I agree with him to be honest but my opinion would probably of been completely different if I hadn’t of completely cut back on gaming recently as I’ve currently got my Xbox One X and PS4 Pro up for sale.

Being 30+ yrs old I’ve only just realized I need a change of lifestyle rather just always trying to find whatever time I can for gaming instead of focusing on family and actually have a proper social life, gaming has actually limited that, so I can see where Prince Harry is coming from.

I’m also sick of one of my kids constantly asking for money for one of Fortnite’s Battle Pass for new skins so I’d love to see the game banned. I love PUBG though, got nothing against that and will even play a match or two now and again on one of the kids Xbox.

Good stuff, really happy with that. BFV is still the most fun I’ve had as an online game since it’s release.

I’m just not feeling it with this game unfortunately, I can see it’s a good game for those who can get into it, it’s just ashame I can’t. I was really hoping this would be a worthy spiritual successor to Tenchu 😔

The end is definitely nigh for traditional consoles whether we like it or not. I can’t remember the last time I bought a DVD or music CD, I certainly don’t own a DVD/CD player. These days we can watch Netflix, YouTube and use Spotify, iTunes etc through multiple devices anywhere at anytime.

It looks like the PS5 will be one of the last gaming consoles we will see before it will have to adapt and do exactly what Google are doing with Stadia but I seriously doubt it will be as big as they are now in the gaming industry unless they keep producing top quality exclusives but even then I think the majority of gamers who will be streaming will most likely be playing MP games.

Is it rare for PlayStation Hits titles to go on sale? I know they are cheap enough at £15.99 but I’d be more inclined to buy multiple games at less than £10 each, only really want Driveclub, Until Dawn and Infamous Second Son as I already have everything else I wanted like all the Uncharted games, HZD etc.

I’ve never heard of this Ninja lad till 2 weeks ago but now I’ve noticed he’s popin’ up everywhere. Last week he was at the PSG and United game, thought it was a bit random that the camera zoomed in on him and a commentator making a comment 🤨

That 1 million he’s got, he’s sorted for a new house, car and still have some change for holidays or whatever, all because he videos himself playing games. Crazy times we live in right now.

The best in the series imo. I’ll definitely be getting this as long as it isn’t priced over £30.

I’d rather stay at home and order a nice big fat juicy parmo with a tub of garlic sauce 🤤 but if I had to pick I’d choose Dante’s Inferno and an Ebony and Ivory for dessert. Surprised to see no cheese, ham or croissants on that menu since that’s all the French eat over there.

@JJ2 I don’t think Sony and Sony Bend would care much about retail sales if the digital sales was a huge success, we know now that digital sales make up for the majority of sales these days. If people prefer to buy a physical copy then it’s up to them to wait till 26th April but there’s nothing stopping Sony putting Days Gone on the PS Store right now, it’s happened before to games releasing digitally first then retail at a later date.

I don’t understand why this game has such a large file size when it’s D.C map isn’t even that big from what I saw in the open beta, I get the map will most likely open up more in the full game but even so I don’t see it being that big in the end. Games like GTA V and RDR2 really do warrant their 100+GB file sizes but The Divison 2 shouldn’t be anywhere near 90GB.

With the game now ready to release wouldn’t it make sense to at least make it available on the PS Store right now before games like The Division 2, Sekiro SDT, Generation Zero, World War Z and Mortal Kombat 11 all release before it’s physical original release date on 26th April?

Even though I’ve gone all digital this gen I still wouldn’t want the next new Xbox and PS5 to release without a Blu-ray disc drive. I rent the majority of games that come out each year which saves me many hundreds of pounds (saved over 7 grand in 5 years) and only buy games digitally if it’s something huge like RDR2 or a franchise I love like Hitman or something that’s really cheap in a sale.

If the next new Xbox is a disc-less only console then I’d be jumping over to the PS5 even though I’d be losing out to the great Xbox Live service, controller and the Achievements. I’ve never bothered with PS trophies and I’ve actually enjoyed playing the games more without actively going for them. In a weird way it would be a relief to me if the next new Xbox is disc-less because the choice would be easy to switch to PS5 and knowing I’ll just enjoy the games more with bothering with trophies.

I already have my racing fix with both Forza Motorsport and Horizon but I still want to buy a PS4 exclusive racer. So which is best, this or Driveclub? I know Driveclub has day/night cycle during races and dynamic weather but does GT have those? I only want one or the other, don’t see no reason to buy both.

Is it safe to say this is on it’s way to becoming even bigger than Fortnite BR? I still think PUBG is the king of the BR genre but Apex comes a close 2nd.

I think it would be a bit drastic anyway for a game to brick a console, lucky I only use my Pro for the exclusives and I trust that those exclusives would never let that happen. On my XB1 X however I’ve played a few games like Fallout 76, Ace Combat 7 and another game I’ve forgotten that caused it to automatically shutdown the console due to overheating, when those games did that a few times I uninstalled them straight away. RDR2 always almost causes a shutdown, when looking up at the sky the fan quietens down but looking down at the landscape, wildlife etc the fan goes into overdrive. I’m just even more glad that I decided not to rent Anthem after reading this article.

That’s not good at all, it’s one thing a game crashing and having to quit and restart it but it’s another when a game completely locks up a console. Has there ever been a game that completely bricked a console before?

It’s all well and good releasing a new character but this game has exploded in popularity and to keep player base growing and engaged I think Respawn should be focusing on releasing a new map or two.

I just finished this last night and thought it was a brilliant game, even the best game released so far this year imo. The only thing that bothered me was it constantly crashed, it crashed at least twice on each day I played it and I was only playing for a few hours on each of those days. This was on XB1 X, not sure if it affects PS4.

Surprised there’s no Focus RS, I’ve always went for that in previous DiRT games.

I’ve never heard of this Reggie guy since I never read anything Nintendo related but I probably will start when I get my kids a Switch this Christmas. All the best to him anyway.

I’m other Nintendo news there’s rumour that Xbox Game Pass is coming to the Switch, apparently the rumour comes from a credible source with a successful track record on Nintendo rumours. MS would be using their Project xCloud service to make the app available to the console and even it’s exclusive Ori was mentioned being available to the Switch but don’t know which one, could be the Blind Forest or the Will of the Wisps or even both. Bearing in mind this is just a rumour but would be a shock and a surprise if it happened.

I’ve just finished Crackdown 3 yesterday and enjoyed the campaign but I do agree that the game should of been so much better after being in development for 5 years. I don’t think the game would of been that badly received if it had released when the Xbox One launched.

It’s other mode Wrecking Zone is absolutely rubbish and the only mode with it's long awaited and hyped “Cloud powered demolition” (I honestly almost laughed as I typed that) which isn’t featured in the campaign at all. It seems it was just put in there for the sake of it because it was promised and showcased in trailers and at E3. It doesn’t look the same as the campaign either, in Wrecking Zone the destructible buildings and the maps as a whole are covered neon lights with lines everywhere which doesn’t look appealing at all, it runs shockingly bad and I use Virgin Media’s fastest broadband package so I know there’s nothing wrong on my end. IMO the original Crackdown is a better game in every way, it’s also backward compatible and X enhanced with 4K, I’m just glad I only paid £2 for 2 months of Game Pass to play and finish CD3.

Also have to agree it was unnecessary to write this article based on CD3 and Xbox’s other exclusives which has nothing to do with PlayStation apart from being a competitor or going by this article, not being much of one. I agree the PS4 has more and better exclusives which is why I own a PS4 Pro but everybody knows PlayStation has more quality exclusives so to criticize Xbox One’s lack of quality exclusives seems a bit unprofessional, arrogant and it’s been said a few times, flame baiting (do you really really need those extra clicks?).

That Crackdown 3 and The Last Guardian comparison? Two completely different games, I get Liam was trying to compare the final quality of the games but I know which one I’d rather play and it doesn’t include a large mythological beast in it. It’s all down to preferences and opinions in the end.

That statement alone just shows how redundant the current UK sales chart is. A game could be seen as a flop in the chart but in reality it could be a success when digital sales are factored in. Any word on when digital sales are going to be implemented to the chart?

I just watched some of what was streamed on YouTube and couldn’t believe how the whole thing went on. Two girls who I doubt had anything to do with the game, they weren’t pro players or had any input to the game, all they did was show their backsides and kept pulling the slit opening on their tops to keep revealing their cleavages. Then when they eventually showed some gameplay, rather than show some of the fighting mechanics and whatnot, they just kept abusing the free camera mode and pausing while the characters were sexualized positions, 69er poses and stuff while looking at different angles and zooming in and out. Absolutely mental 🤦🏻‍♂️

I haven’t even been pass chapter 3 in the main story yet due to not playing the game for a few months. By the time I’ve competed the main story the online will probably be completely different the way it is now with more content and stuff with the constant updates.

Pretty much Sony’s stance to everybody on the idea of cross-play.

To think I was just about to buy this but after this fiasco... NO CHANCE!

@get2sammyb @Tasuki That’s an article I’d like to see happen. To make the numbers up you could also include the battle royale modes in certain games like RDR2, Ace Combat 7 and BFV’s upcoming Firestorm.

Good to know that Sony are going to continue doing what they do best, creating amazing single player story driven games, it’s the reason I bought a PS4 Pro in the first place, if they continue to bring quality single player games well into the PS5’s life then I will get a PS5 too after at least 3 years after launch.
