@Gedrick I think the negative consequences on artists will snowball extremely quickly with ai, because people value their own interpretations and perspectives now more than ever. To the extent that an artist's intention won't even matter. You get to tell the "art" what is meant by it.
And don't even get me started on the fact that we still have NPCs getting stuck in doorways while Nightcafe is over there farting out a Rembrandt. Literally doing everything wrong.

At some point in the not too distant future, our art will have "Organic" labels like our food. As in "A human made this." We are doing everything wrong.

@Exerion76 I agree with the 90s being my favorite era of arcade racers, but its easier than ever to access those (and ones from sixth generation like burnout etc). There are also a ton of great arcade racers out there, just not exactly in the cultural zeitgeist.

Welp, your biggest competition in my home is the sixth and seventh gen, and the more time I spend there, the more I realize how much we have lost. This view is exactly what is wrong with XBOX, and why they will never be relevant in this space again.

Sounds good to me. There are obviously some pacing issues to address, and repetitive environs, but the combat and enemy variety in Halo make the battles fun.

Just remembering how awesome the sixth and seventh gen were. Its really sad what the industry has become in the wake of unchecked greed.

This gen is frustrating. I want them to focus on single-player games and (more than that, even) to get weird again. Not everything experiment pays off, but they used to be so different from the competition. Theres considerably less competition now.
I hope they are true to their word and start focusing on SP. I am pretty done with Nintendo.

@Jeaz Yep. I didn't think they'd do it with SMT V (or, more accurately, hype got the better of me...), so I got got.

@ItsAlwaysSunnyyy I buy old physical guides or use scans on Internet Archive for titles with a lot of depth and/or secrets. Paying for a digital guide doesn't make sense to me. Maybe if I used a nice tablet? I don't know, I tried that out with comics and it was definitely not for me.

Also, that LEGO DC Villains is great fun in co-op. You can make your own villain, and we like to play hide and seek or race in the split-screen, free roam mode. It's the most fun we've had w the LEGO ganes so far.

I have slowed down, but I'm still more of a four to five a month guy. It is rare that I get anything over $20 though.

I sincerely hope there is not licensed music...at least not with lyrics. I'm not sure why, but lyrics in my game music is one layer too many for my brain to process. Like at that point the music is agitating and a distraction.

I am playing Wolfenstein: New Order. I have fet like shooting nazis lately, in videogame form.
It's funny that I remember a time not so long ago that shooting nazis felt boring. Or, it was not only "boring," but also, it felt rote, dour, and cloying. It was just killing robots, demons, or zombies (to be redundant), etc was the enemy that we could all agree with. At the time of something like early sixth or seventh gen, it got old. Sigh.
Times change, but shooting nazis feels good again. Cause I haven't played a "military shooter" in a while, and shooting nazi trash is only a good thing. I just did not play military shooters when I was in the ARMY.
Also, The New Order feels like Perfect Dark or Timesplitters, but evolved.
