Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is all about a multiverse of SEGA characters and collabs with external franchises, and the latest reveal is that the kart racer will be crossing paths with Pac-Man.
Bandai Namco's mascot will join the game as a playable character, and you can get a look in the new trailer:
The video also reveals that the racing game will host an open beta test very soon.
For one weekend, from 29th August to 1st September, you'll be able to hop into CrossWorlds on PS5 and play it before release.
The beta won't be playable on PS4, though the game will release on the last-gen platform.
We don't have the full details on this just yet, but the test will be free and open to everyone.

I'm hoping Sonic Racing is my Goldilocks spot between too pay to win Disney Speedstorm w/ it's really nice gameplay, Mario Kart World w/ it's GameCube graphics and weird control scheme, and Kirby Air Riders which looks like no one over 30 need apply. 🤞
This is great, and if SR:C adds in Crash Bandicoot at some point that will make my day.
I am worried that they might be more focused on the DLC rather than making a good racing game. I'll have to wait and see.
It seems like everyone is ignoring the Sonic DLC for RePac 2 shown in the trailer 😅 this article doesn’t even mention it. Makes me wonder if people got confused and thought this was all part of Crossworlds.
All of the announcements related to this thing have been a huge disappointment.
I’m still cautiously optimistic, looking forward to trying the beta. But Kirby Air Riders looks awesome so this needs to hit the right notes.
