NG Ragebound. Best side-scrolling arcade action game I have played in a while. Vengeful Guardian Moonrider and Steel Assault didn't do it. I guess maybe since Gravity Circuit or Vernal Edge.
Anyway! It's great and you should play it.

@Dalamar Of all the compliments I'd give A Hat in Time, I don't think the gameplay would be too high on the list. I played it a long time ago though. It was enjoyable, but I got this strange feeling like the environments were made for a different game.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. I still believe the PS2 R&C games are beautiful, but Rift Apart legitimately looks like a top-tier animated film. It's a tough call between Rift Apart and Demon's Souls though.

I'm sorry man but the last thing I want is for ND to go bigger. At least have Bluepoint remake Jak and Daxter or something. I'm sick of the "auteur" era of ND.

@4fold I'm not sure why this seems so conspiratorial. Either they released a game, then went back and changed content because of pressure from authority or they didn't do that. I have a feeling CDPR can say what they want, but reptilians may have infiltrated the studio.

@Rich33 I set it to 1080p, 30fps target, and unfortunately it's still pretty messy. It wasn't so bad that I got nauseous. But the real issue is that running it at 4k targeting 60 seemed just as rough as 1080 30. Very, very annoying. The world is so cool. Guess I might as well put it down and hope they can finish the work eventually.

I got sidetracked with Ragebound and Shinobi but I'll be back at it later tonight.
I have zero complaints so far. The world is much more well-realized than something like Outlaws, for instance.

Sounds silly, I am sure, but waiting til night might sell me on this game. I need to watch a YouTube video to see if actually is dark though. Dragon's Dogma and Tainted Grail are some of the few games that get that right...
Anyway, I'm a scoundrel in sneaky games. I want it to be dark.
Also the sun needs to shut up anyway. Too damned bright.

@Rich33 The first big city made me super nauseous. I don't have motion sickness issues, I read on the train, etc.
I am reinstalling and my save is at that location so I'll report back. It's an incredible game. I just can't take the nausea.

It's when Sony was cool with being weird. I miss that. They're boring now.

Guess I will need to reinstall and see if the framerate still makes me nauseous.

I'm enjoying it, but I am taking things very slowly. It's such a cool world. I just want to hang out there as long as I can.

Welp, that's disheartening. Delta seems like Subsistence put through the same sterilization filter as the recent Disney remakes...

From a guy who balked at the idea of blind packs and kids buying the same game every release when I was a kid, and who laughs at gross adults fighting at Pokemon vending machines...sure is funny how people use the language of addiction when talking Pokemon. "Scratch the itch," it'll get you through, you're not high you're just "not sick."

@Zeke68 My drive broke about two months after getting a launch console, and it still is. Damn it.

It's kind of of sad that the thing I'm most interested in is backwards compatibility. That will make two consoles in a row.

Primal is the definition of a dumb fun game. I loved it.

...and I will supplement with Outlaws because people keep saying it's gotten much better since launch and I like a good auto-pilot game when I'm way into something challenging.

As a fan of MGS 3: Subsistence, I don't think Delta got it right. There's a griminess to MGS 3 that Delta seems to sterilize. I'll pick it up on sale. Shinobi is more my speed. Lizard Cube has managed to absolutely nail two impossible tasks, imo, with remaking SoR and Shinobi.

I started DQVIII on PS2, and am still mopping up in Shinobi, so not rn. Silksong will only get better, anyway. The haters are funny on this one. Predictable.

@Bluemoon2008 the bulletproof thing has always been my problem w the Bond series. He just always gets out unscathed in the films I've seen.

It's been a few years now that I just don't believe XBOX when they say a game is releasing.
I wonder how many people at XBOX curse the name of Don Mattrick.

Lol.No. No I could not be persuaded to watch a Call of Duty movie. The last CoD I played was BLOPS 2, and that was practically a movie already. Walk forward, shoot the bad guys standing mid screen, cutscene, walk forward, cutscene, shoot the bad guys standing in the middle of the screen, cutscene.
Trash. And that was supposed to be a good one, lol.

The game being comparatively light on story is a big plus for me. Always been my biggest issue w the series. It's the MGS that plays well, so it's my fave.

I appreciated him having GWAR on recently. He needs to shave the head. Dream's over, man.

Gotta get through Shinobi first, but I'm sure $20 is a great deal considering how much game Hollow Knight was. I felt like I stole that game, but I've made up for it by getting it on like five platforms.
