A backlash against day one DLC for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 may have convinced publisher Paradox to reconsider its plans.
As it stands, the upcoming action RPG will launch with an additional $22 DLC pack that contains two character classes — the kind of thing that most would argue should be part of the base release, as an integral part of the choice-driven experience.
However, as mentioned, there's been firm pushback against the idea from both potential players and the media, to the point where more noise was being made about the crappy DLC practice than the game itself.

It's good to hear, then, that Paradox might be on the brink of undoing its questionable deeds. Spotted by ResetEra user Slayven, the company's community lead took to Discord in order to issue a small but promising statement.
"We are listening to your feedback about the Lasombra and Toreador clan access, and we're making adjustments ahead of launch to reflect this," is the official line on the matter.
"We will share more information about what this means as soon as possible."
Now, obviously, this doesn't necessarily mean that Paradox is going to reverse its decision with immediate effect — but the publisher simply wouldn't be saying stuff like this if there was no movement behind the scenes.
There is a tricky part to this, though, in that by purchasing the more expensive Premium Edition of Bloodlines 2 — which is available to pre-order — you get the two character classes included.
Given that the classes are a key selling point of the Premium Edition, Paradox will need to ensure that it doesn't bamboozle those who have already pre-ordered.
Do you think Paradox is about to walk back its day one DLC nonsense? Or is there some kind of middle ground to be found here? Stick to the shadows in the comments section below.
