Re: Episodic Hit Dispatch Is Only Getting More and More Popular

Korgon

Glad to see it did well. It was fun playing a Telltale style game again. Just felt like the right time for something like this.

I also think the 2 episodes a week approach was the perfect balance if your going for episodic content. Not too long of a wait like Telltale used to have a problem with. Not too short to the point of being annoyed and asking "Why not just put it all out at once!?" Good stuff. I'll definitely be there for season 2 assuming that happens.

Re: Poll: Does the Steam Machine Pose a Threat to PS5?

Korgon

If it's priced within the range of a PS5 currently then I could see it raising a few eyebrows. The way they are talking though, it sounds like it might be around at least $800 or so. It's too expensive at that point. It also is likely to be sold through Steam itself like the Deck was and that alone will limit its potential reach quite a bit.

It's an interesting product but I don't think Sony is too worried for now. Now Microsoft on the other hand might be a bit disturbed as this thing basically sounds like a cheaper version of what they are doing next.

Re: Horizon Dev Guerrilla Won't Abandon PS5, Has 'More' Games Coming

@Shepherd_Tallon
You make some good points. I know mobile is very big in Asia but I just feel like if you are going to make a free-to-play mmo set in an already established franchise, why wouldn't you make sure that the platform with most of your already established fans are able to play?

It just seems like they are making it harder than it needs to be to get an audience for this. I feel like the better approach would have been to be where the majority of fans already are and expand from there but what do I know?

Re: The Next Horizon Game Is an MMO for Mobile and PC, Prompting Fury from PS5 Fans

@Wardenknight133 @get2sammyb
I get that they want to capture the mobile market...but I don't see what that has to do with not releasing it on PS5. Or at the very least confirming a PS5 version will come down the road.

As a Free to Play game, they need to get anyone they can get to be sustainable. Cutting out the platform where the majority of already invested fans of the franchise are seems like a frankly dumb business decision.

Look at Hoyoverse. They make games that work great on a phone but are scalable upwards from there. They figured it out. Why can't NCSoft?

Re: PS5 Fans Say Ghost of Yotei Plays Better, But Can't Match Ghost of Tsushima's Story or Hero

Korgon

These results make sense to me. Yotei is a better game of course but story-wise it's Tsushima. Tsushima had a more interesting plot overall with the whole struggle between honor and practicality that Jin faced.

I just found that to be much more intriguing than the classic revenge tale Yotei told. And I like Atsu but Jin was just too damn cool to overcome. I liked making haikus more than drawing stuff.😄

Re: The Best BioWare Can Do on N7 Day Is Insist Mass Effect PS5 Is Still in Dev

Korgon

Mass Effect is one of my all time favorite series so I'm going to stay positive and excited to see where it goes. I never was a big Dragon Age fan so Veilguard doesn't really factor into my excitement one way or another.

That said I did buy a copy of Veilguard in the hopes of supporting the studio to get to the next Mass Effect. I love this series that much.

I'm glad to see them just pop up and say "Hey! We are still here and working on Mass Effect." I don't need a huge info drop every N7 day. A krogan civil war could be interesting. I have a few theories on what it could mean but anyway, happy N7 day Bioware. Still rooting for ya.

Re: Poll: Is Ghost of Yotei Better Than Ghost of Tsushima?

Korgon

They are both great games for sure. I think overall though I did prefer Tsushima ever so slightly. Mostly because I just thought the story and characters were a bit more interesting. Yotei does play a little better though not by much.

One thing is for sure, Sucker Punch simply doesn't miss. Truly one of the best studios out there.

Re: PC Players or Bots? Battlefield 6 PS5 Players Frustrated by Crossplay Situation

Korgon

I don't take BF seriously anyway since it's such a...shall we say impersonal game. There's always so much stuff going on that I don't really pay attention to the score. Even if I would all of a sudden play absolutely out of my mind it's not going to make much of a difference in the grand scheme of things since I'm only one of like 30+ other players.

I do get where the complaints are coming from though. If turning off crossplay only matches you up with bots you might as well not even give the option to turn it off.

This is actually I think one reason why I mostly play fighting games if I play anything online these days. There isn't any real advantage to which input method each player uses. It's more about just what you are most comfortable with instead of just straight up advantage M&K with shooters. Sure someone with a really beefy PC setup might see a jab a few frames faster than me on my PS5 but...well if they willing to spend that kind of cash for such an advantage more power to em...not worth it to me.
