Bold words but I have a really good feeling about VF6. I know we haven't seen any real gameplay footage yet outside of a few seconds of blurry offscreen bits but right now is kind of the perfect time for a VF comeback.
Tekken is the only living 3D fighter out there at the moment and T8 has been...well let's just say in a not ideal space recently. The door is wide open for a new VF to flourish.
Normally I'd be concerned but to their credit, Atlus did a great job with the new VO in P3R so I'm confident this will be good too. It will be weird not hearing the old crew though.
Always thought this game got dealt a bad deal. Sure it had its problems but there are worse ways to spend a weekend than playing Order 1886.
Would have loved to see the sequels especially if multiplayer was planned for the 2nd one. I could see that game translating very well into a Gears of War style multiplayer.
Good for them though. They deserve all the praise they are getting for the game. I just platinumed it a couple days ago and it's absolutely my GOTY so far. I don't really anticipate anything beating it either except for maybe Ghost of Yotei.
Certainly some lofty ambitions here. I can't see myself playing Minds Eye a decade later but if it turns out to be solid enough with reviews then I'll consider giving it a go. Previews haven't left a good impression on the polish side of things so that's my main concern.
@Fishmasterflex96 I disagree. Every one of the games I mentioned I had a great time with their multiplayer. I legitimately didn't buy another game for like two years I remember when Uncharted 2 MP was at its best.
Yes not everything was great but the same can be said today too can it not? At least back then if you didn't like the mode you could just ignore it where as now because everything rides on one mode, if that mode isn't to your liking... well that's it. There's nothing else to enjoy with the product.
@get2sammyb @K1LLEGAL I never understood why people complained about the multiplayer in games from that era. They always said it took resources away but there are countless releases maintained great campaigns with multiplayers "tacked on".
Gears of War, Halo, Uncharted, The Last of Us, Assassins Creed Brotherhood-4, Killzone, Mass Effect 3, Rainbow Six Vegas, Resistance, just to name a few. All of these had a great full package of everything someone could ask for with nothing feeling undercooked or anything like that. I definitely miss those days too. Not saying there are no good multiplayer games today but it's a lot more limited in selection these days compared to back then.
Wow this is really starting to look like huge update for the game. Stellar Blade was already great out of the gate but the updates have really added so much to the game.
All of it being free too outside of the Nier content. Great stuff Shift-Up!
@Ryoth True but still, infinitely better times for the studio back then compared to now. At least in my eyes anyway. The chaos behind the scenes bore fruit to some of the best shooters of all time. Now the chaos just brings... well just more chaos and bad news.
I'm excited to play it! I know it didn't seem to impress as much as the first one but I still want to judge it for myself. I've been a Ninja Theory fan since Heavenly Sword so I'm glad I'll get to play this one after all on Playstation.
@PuppetMaster Yeah Falke is by far the longest shot. But I also didn't expect Ed to come back and somehow do a complete 180 in terms of popularity so you never know for sure! I'd love for her to join. She became my main in SFV.
Quite literally one of my least favorite SF characters of all time. 😂
But she looks cool/balanced enough here. The healing thankfully looks much less obnoxious than it was in SF4 since there's no Ultra meter system here.
I really hoping for a season 3 more tailored to my tastes for characters this time around. There was basically nobody I was excited for in season 2. (Though I did come around on Mai eventually, she's cool) C. Viper, Falke, Sagat, Cody, and Sakura are at the top of my wish list. I'd also be excited to see a brand new character.
The worst thing is that tariffs can't be the reason for this because these are digital titles. Old ones at that. The only reason for this increase is greed. Pure and simple.
Maybe they are taking the "Let reviews sell the game" approach. It's definitely been the most quiet marketing campaign I think I've ever seen. At least for a game that looks like it has a decent budget to work with.
I'm still interested but going to wait and see some reviews first.
I'm interested but they have done a really bad job promoting this game. Like do we know if it's an open world game? Is it linear like what Mafia Old Country is going for? Is there a skill tree? I don't know any of these answers!
I get not wanting to spoil too much but this is an unknown studio. You need to sell the game a bit. Otherwise people won't get interested even if it's something they might be interested in.
I don't think Playstation is really missing out here. They will still put whatever their next game is on Playstation anyway. And if Arrowhead's next game doesn't turn out as well as HD2 did they can always fallback later to make Helldivers 3 or something with Playstation down the road.
It'd be kinda reminiscent of how Insomniac was when they branched out a bit.
I think they can do it if they just stay the current course. Assassin's Creed is easily their biggest and best bet which is why they have so many projects in the works for that series. Far Cry is also a steady seller for them too so that helps.
It may not make for the most exciting headline, but when your back is up against the wall as a company, it makes sense to rely on your most steady sellers to get back to profitability. I have hope Ubisoft can turn it around.
Sad but to be fair the Khaos Reigns dlc apparently bombed pretty heavily. So if that's the case then it just doesn't make business sense to continue support if no one is buying the content.
I actually liked MK1 myself but I get why they decided to pull the plug. Hopefully wherever NRS go from here works out better for them.
I had a great time with Shadows. I took a break after I finished the main quest but I'll definitely return for the big expansions. Hopefully Shadows is a sign of good things to come for Ubisoft.
Not a Dead By Daylight fan but oh well. Maybe the next one will be more geared towards my interest. I remember AC Origins collaborated with Final Fantasy XV in some goofy fun ways. Maybe FFXVI will do something similar with Shadows.
Good for the PC crowd. It's a great game. Enjoy it!
I'm also excited to finally fight Mann. I always thought he looked so cool and was a bit sad how little screen time he got so I'm glad to see him finally get some spotlight.
I just don't understand how someone can hate a product enough to harass people that are working on it. Especially when it is a product that no one knows really anything about.
I mean we got a short trailer and... that's it. If your not interested, just move on to other things. No one is forcing anyone to play it.
I do think I like the way the game has portrayed TLOU2 better personally. The show has been done well enough but some of the changes have been a bit head scratching.
I actually think the two actresses portraying Ellie and Dina have good chemistry but I felt like Ellie being upset/guilty about dragging a pregnant woman she likes into a warzone in the game made much better sense than the make-out scene. 😅
Still, it's been fine for the most part. Not as good as the game but still a fine way to spend an hour every week.
Wow he looks so much cooler now! I really dig the new look! I love Virtua Fighter but it definitely needs a fresh new look for its comeback and RGG is nailing it so far. Looking forward to the direct!
Say what you will about Xbox but this is absolutely one of the best things they got going with their ecosystem. Both Sony and Nintendo could be doing better in this department.
I'm not really frothing at the mouth for it but I'm excited for sure. It's always a fun time when a new R* game comes around because of just how much budget and time goes into them. The sheer technical prowess is always a sight to behold.
That said though, I do hope dearly that the combat mechanics are drastically improved this time around. We have had the same "lock-on, tilt up, shoot" combat since their PS2 games. That's always been an annoyance with their games for me. I'm not asking for much I just want it to play like a proper 3rd person shooter is all.
While 30 fps isn't ideal, I can deal with it since this isn't exactly the most twitch-based game out there. I love exploring their worlds but if they can finally make some drastic improvements to combat, then I'll be really excited to play!
@ErrantRob
I also should have mentioned this too in that I also haven't finished the game yet. So perhaps it improves later on in the game.
But other examples I can think of that do it well would be like Persona for example where the characters interact with each other a lot more. (Though to be fair the protagonist is mostly silent in that series so I guess they kind of have to play off of each other more 😅)
But yeah for a first go at it Sandfall has basically knocked it out of the park everywhere else. I can only imagine where they could go from here. Definitely a bright future ahead of them.
Patent law is absolutely insane. Sometimes it makes sense. Other times you get companies like Nintendo patenting the most odd things that nobody would have ever expected to be patented. Like the gliding thing. Does Nintendo really have a patent specifically for gliding on the back of a creature? It's so odd.
@ErrantRob Yeah I've done them too. However, those are mostly only between the main character and whoever you choose to talk to. I feel like there could've been a bit more character development between the crew themselves. Not just when the main character talks to them.
It's the highest 9 I think I could ever give! Everything is so damn good. The only two things that keep me from a 10 would be I wish there was a way to switch party members mid-battle and I do wish there was just a tad more camaraderie among the cast. Don't get me wrong, it's there, I just think there are areas where there could have been more.
Overall though it's an absolutely wonderful game and has easily put Sandfall on the map big time.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has never heard of a "frog type game". They talking about Frogger? Leap-Frog? What do they mean!?
Regardless I doubt there is any chance I'm going to be interested in whatever this "gummy bears" game is but good luck to them. I'd love to be pleasantly surprised.
Oh the studio name though. Please dear God change that at least.

I know your pain. Hang in there! It was a close one but I managed squeak out the victory last night.
I don't really do special edition stuff much anymore but I might need to make an exception here. Expedition 33 completely blew me away.
