Re: PlayStation's New 'Rewards' Program Goes Down Like a Lead Balloon

Korgon

The funny thing is the Stars program actually pushed me towards digital purchasing since you could get some store credit which in the end got Sony more of my money. Now I've veered back to buying physical since there's no longer an incentive to buy digital versions outside of convenience.

They are actually making less money off of me as customer from this. An exclusive merch store is not a compelling incentive for a rewards program. Simple as that.

Re: Poll: How Would You Rate State of Play for September 2025?

Korgon

Not really too much for me. Wolverine looks cool. Saros, I'll probably pass since I never was really interested in Returnal and it looks pretty similar to say the least. Nothing in the middle really caught my attention either. Good month for PS+ though at least.

Edit: Oh yeah Crimson Desert getting a date is cool though. I'm interested to see how that one turns out.

Re: Second Trails in the Sky Remake All But Confirmed by Falcom Boss

SC is my favorite of the series so I'm very excited to see it when it happens! 3 is an interesting one for sure though. I can't imagine they would want to leave it at 2 but I would understand them skipping 3 if the demand just isn't there.

Hopefully 1 & 2 do well enough to warrant 3 as well so we can have the whole series playable on modern hardware.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Gears of War: Reloaded on PS5?

Korgon

I don't think I'll be playing the campaign right away as I recently replayed it a few years ago. I'll definitely be hopping into some multiplayer though. Super cool to see Gears on PS. I've always been a Gears fan but PS is my preferred console so I'm stoked that I can play Gears on it!

Re: Praise, Raiden! Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection Adds Mythologies, Special Forces

Korgon

Really wish it had the PS2 era MKs. Deadly Alliance is a stone cold classic in my opinion. Hopefully they do a second collection for those at some point.

As for Mythologies and Special Forces, it cool that they actually included them but oh boy are they bad...like really bad. Shaolin Monks is by a country mile the best of their attempts at spin-off games like this.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Will Go Up Against Battlefield 6 from 14th November

Korgon

I'm sure BF6 will take some players away but I highly doubt COD is going to be sweating much. Like it or not COD just works for its general audience. BF is a bit more hardcore and will not likely draw in your casual shooter fan.

Also it's just easier to play with friends in COD than in BF. That goes a long way for a shooter.

All that said though it is nice to see BF actually doing well for itself for the first time in a very long time.

Re: PS5's Battle Royale Craze Appears to Continue in Battlefield 6

Korgon

Battle Royale just never clicked for myself. Too much running around aimlessly and praying to RNGesus. I prefer the more traditional multiplayer shooter experience.

Thankfully it at least seems like shooters are moving away from putting all their eggs in the BR basket. A variety of modes is never a bad thing.
