Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age. Got it last night, so will be diving into that for the foreseeable future. Early days so far, but am liking it so far.
I kinda bounced off this when I played it earlier in the year when it first came on PS NOW. I had grown a bit tired of all the open world racers I've played and thought I needed a straight racer, but when I played Wreckfest I just found it a bit boring. I will definitely go back to it eventually and hope I just wasn't in the right frame of mind or something.
I was thinking of picking this up as OPM rated it as their number one FF game, and was beginning to get an itch to play a FF game. Watching a few reviews at the mo but probably will take the plunge.
I have the platinum headset and although I have no real complaints (apart from them feeling a bit tight and heavy after extended sessions), I've never really noticed any difference between those and my non-3d audio/surround sound headphones. So either I've not used them with any games that support 3d audio, or it is just something I don't notice that well. 🤷♂️
@rjejr It might not be it, but multiple purchases for the same amount are a flag to the bank for fraudulent transactions. I see it all the time at work, and our account contact at the bank will usually email in to speak to the cardholder and confirm if there were genuine transactions.
@rjejr Some people don't have or want (like myself) a credit card so PayPal is a good modern day alternative. Mainly because I don't trust sites with my banking details as I had about five hundred quid fraudulently taken from my account a few years ago, so am extra careful since. The company I work with we have to deal with people on a daily basis that have their credit card used fraudulently, so forgive for not trusting the system. I didn't really come on here to try and sell it anyone or get into the politics of why someone shouldn't or should use the service, and I don't get what your issue is with.
@rjejr At least with PayPal you are covered in most circumstances if anything does go wrong. I've been using them for well over a decade and not had any problems with them. Sometimes you need to take off that tin foil hat.
I really do like the look of this, but I've never really got on with Housemarque's previous games, so am a bit apprehensive about paying top dollar on something I may not like. If there was a demo I would be all over it.
@Col_McCafferty No excuses? Maybe Covid 19 has effected them more than people realise and they are busy working on the sequel. I would rather the sequel be released this year, then it be delayed because they were working on a four year old game.
@Col_McCafferty We can only go on what is currently happening, not might or might not happen in the far future.
"PS owners being treated like dirt" - C'mon man, I've always thought you been quite reasonable on here, but I think you are being a bit over dramatic with all of this.
Trying to vote for ArtPlay in Other for Castlevania, but I keep getting an error message. And its gotta be Bluepoint for MGS, as I've been a bit indifferent with Kojima's games.
I played it when the update dropped and although I thought it was an improvement i wasn't blown away by it. After playing for a few more hours I was beginning to think I needed my eyes tested, so I'm glad it is not just me. 60fps feels so good especially for stuff like the menus, they feel so much snappier than on PS4.
My mic is muted by default when the console is turned on, so didn't notice anything in regards to the voice chat.
The games is fun and looks good but is super shallow. The few online matches I played, I got booted to the main screen so I just stuck to arcade mode. Can't see myself sinking loads of time into it but will most likely jump in when I fancy switching my brain off for a couple of hours.
Defo an improvement but nothing mind blowing so far, but only played it for about half an hour and not played it for over a year. Not sure when I'll sink more time into it as I need a break from shooting people in the face, looting and upgrading gear from playing cyberpunk.
It works, but it is incorrect. Says my most played game is Cyberpunk at 72 hours but I know I clocked 100 + hours on Ghosts of Tsushima. The same happened to me last year too.
@JJ2 @nessisonett Yep I would probably class Demon's Souls on PS5 as the easiest game in the series that I've played. I think that is due to a few factors such as my experience of playing all the other games, and having updated movement for your character but the enemies remain largely unchanged. Most of the bosses were well easy, but not your typical combat style affairs and more akin to puzzles that you have to work out. The difficulty comes in some of the runs to the bosses, which some are absolutely brutal. But most can be made a bit more manageable by equipping certain items, like the Thief Ring so enemies don't notice you as much.
Played through it just now and thought it was very atmospheric, with the house creaking around you. Quite impressed with how good it looked and sounds. Definitely one to keep an eye on for me!
Good, this is a step in right direction. And please please please please, do not pay the sclapers prices. Your wallet will thank you and the less people use them the quicker they will go away.
I have quite a substantial backlog on PS4 which I can play on my PS5, so I had always planned on working through that during quieter periods. Which I generally do anyway. Even if I do somehow manage to clear my backlog (unlikely), there are loads of games which I've missed out on. . With the amount of games released, I don't understand when people complain they have nothing to play. Sure new releases might dry up, but an older game is still a new experience if you've not played it. Sometimes it means stepping outside of your comfort zone to try something you wouldn't normally.
@DonJorginho Same here dude, most severe problem I've had is one soft crash (which I had a few in Demon's Souls, and in almost every game from last gen). It is one of those games I can't stop thinking about and can't wait to play it again.
Yep turned off film grain, Chromatic Aberration and motion blur. Kept HDR on as personally thought it looked worse with it off. I did have to mess around with both the in game HDR and my TV picture settings to get right for me. Control had similar issues with these settings too I seem to remember.
After being pretty dismissive of it in the past, 60fps really does make a difference. In Demon’s Souls the combat felt so good. So yeah, I will defo be playing Cyberpunk 2077 in performance mode.
@Kieren1234 I've used rest mode and left it over night to download a couple of games, and it has been fine. Also used it when playing a game a coming back to it later in the day with no issues.
I would prefer a sequel to Bloodborne or a new game rather than a remaster at this point. Makes less sense anyway, seeing as it is part of the PS Plus collection. I'm fine with it releasing on PC, but would not buy it if it is new PS5 version.
My safe bet is Ratchet and Clank release date trailer, my hopeful bet is the rumoured Bluepoint remake of Metal Gear Solid.
@nessisonett The music is fine for Demon's Souls Remake, and it is hardly like you describe it. And if you never played the original, it is a moot point what that sounded like. Besides I know plenty of people that played the original and are OK with it, and vice versa. Hopefully you like it a bit more once you have played the game.
I copied this from the forum, so apologies if you've already read this. I went through my list of games, and here are my top played. The games marked with a * are ones I played most of the dlc for. Which makes the top game even more surprising.
I note some games didn't even appear on the list such as no PES titles? Some games also appeared on there multiple times like FFVIIR. And a couple like DOOM and Resi Evil 7 only shows up as 1 hour played. The former I got pretty damn far and the latter I completed and played most of the dlc.
The Witcher 3 - 403 hours Bloodborne* - 324 hours Fifa 15 - 318 hours Far Cry 4 - 233 hours Dragon Age Inquisition - 257 hours Fallout 4* - 214 hours Dark Souls 3* - 196 hours Dark Souls 2* - 170 hours Battlefield 4 - 167 hours Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor - 166 hours Assassin's Creed Origins - 151 hours Sekiro - 145 hours Ghost of Tsushima - 136 hours The Division - 122 hours Xcom 2 - 114 hours Dark Souls Remastered* - 110 hours Dying Light - 101 hours Horizon Zero Dawn - 100 hours
@thefourfoldroot The game auto saves on a regular basis. If you quit the game and go back to it later, you will be right where you last left it. And you don't have to go back to your blood stain when you die, only if you want to pick up your souls. Which you don't need to do everytime, it depends on how many you have lost.
Mine is silent the majority of the time, apart from when I first turn it on and there is a disk in the console, and also when the game first loads up. And even then, it is really quiet, I hardly notice the sounds it makes.

Bonus points that getting the name of the studio into the statement. Like when an actor says the name of the film as part of the dialogue.

Observer System Redux or Borderlands 3 are worth a shout me thinks.
