I have been rocking one of the avatars for a few weeks now, as I managed to grab them when Kojima tweeted awhile back.

Not something I would use a great deal. The only time I would is when I staying over at a families house for the weekend or something, and I have a Switch for that. Which hardly gets used these days anyway, as any gaming I do away from PlayStation is either on Marvel Snap or Vampire Survivors on my tablet/phone.

My last two tellys have been a Sony, and my next one will definitely be one. They have been really reliable and my old one is still going at my parents. Which is more than I can say for some of the other models I've had over the years.

Asking for Colin Moriaty, have they fixed the trophies yet?

@Ralizah It was discussed in a podcast I was listening to the other day. Apparently PC's with even high end graphics have been struggling when loading in certain areas of some games, leading to them stuttering.

The way the SSD's work in the current gen consoles take a lot of the grunt work from the CPU and RAM, something PC architecture has not caught up with in the same price bracket the consoles offer. Normally, 3 years after new consoles have come out is unheard of. The pandemic obviously didn't help.

That is my understanding of it anyway.

@Ralizah You may get close to the power of a PS5, but good luck getting an SSD as good for a comparable price. That has been the bottle neck in some PC versions of recent games like Howgart's Legacy and Dead Space Remake (and a bunch of others too). More and more games are being developed with the SSD of the current gen consoles in mind, so I imagine that will continue being an issue until a comparable product becomes widely available.

It's bit of a nonsense imo. People will cry a river about anything these days. Would be good to have the option to turn it off for those that start frothing at the mouth over it.

I might give code vein a go at some point, but I was massively turned off by the character designs and what I heard about the combat when it first came out.

Some great games there which I've not played. Maybe I will finally get round to playing Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy.

Although I'm currently playing the stand out title for Extra in Horizon Forbidden West, there are still a few games which I'm interested and not yet played, probably more so than most months I can remember.

@belmont Even more baffling is why the first game came out on Xbox Series, but this sequel has not been announced for those consoles.

Another killer month for Extra. The games this month alone that I don't already have and am interested pay for the subscription.

Should be sone juicy details revealed, albeit redacted. Like in the Apple v Epic case.

Hopefully that doesn't mean it is really bloated as I thought there was way too much samey side stuff in the first game. Still really enjoyed it though!

As long as the gameplay is still decent, that is all that really matters to me. I'll happily play a game with good gameplay but with sub par story and characters etc. I would struggle if it was the other way round though.

The only one piece I know of is the one I slip into on the weekends.

Forspoken followed very closely by Dead Space. Won't be getting either for awhile yet though, as I've got some games from last year I want to play. Nothing else on the list really interests me.

Not Riiiiiiidge Raaaaaaaacer?

If I was looking to get a PSVR2, Horizon, Resident Evil Village and Gran Turismo 7 are great titles to have at launch.

Some people are real salty that some games that they didn't like appear on the list. Not a good look people, not a good look at all.

Cool, 2 out of the 3 games I almost bought recently, so a very good month for me.

Glad to see the comments are really positive towards the game! I've yet to play it, but will get to it soon hopefully.

I found it fun to begin with, but when I reached the third zone I quickly became bored of the gameplay loop. I did have a break from it, but still no joy when I went back to it. I've moved onto Horizon Forbidden West now, so doubt I will go back to it anytime soon.

Good riddance. I've long said that the media in the video games industry have become over reliant on leaks and stuff to report as news. Unfortunately things are too far gone and I don't think it will get any better anytime soon.

So not a new strand-type game like I thought when I first saw the title then?

I might fire it up to finally give the expansion passes a go, a I think I have them already, or at least the first one.

Is there a day one patch for all the bugs and glitches I've seen reported?! 😂

Well it worked for this time. 1,021 hours in total played with 47% of that on Elden Ring.

The last couple of these have either not worked or came up with completely borked results. Hopefully I get better luck this time. But Elden Ring will be my most played game at over 400 hours.

Only played 3 games from this year it turns out (well technically there is a fourth, but not enough time to warrant giving a verdict), so guess I won't be taking part this year. Shame.

Will get to this eventually, as I'm more of a gameplay guy than a story/dialogue dude, so the negatives I'm more than willing to tolerate.

That is a huge turn off for me, and one of the reasons I'm not so keen on all the Marvel (and to a lesser extent) Star Wars stuff recently.

I got a purple controller for £45 from GAME. I was able to collect it from my local store in my lunch hour, which I prefer. About the only place that had that colour in stock at a decent price too.

With Greedfall leaving Extra, I just checked and I can't upgrade to the PS5 version from when I claimed it through the old PS Plus/NOW. I wouldn't mind, but I traded in the physical copy when it came onto Extra. And I've tried on the app, I can only download the PS4 version or purchase the standard edition for 30 quid.

Only couple of titles that interest me this month that I've not played, but can't complain as I think overall Extra has been really good so far.

Can't say I've had much experience of what this article is referring to, but I prefer when games don't hand hold you through every situation. An option to disable is obviously better that not putting in the game, as not everyone will be the same.

I can only imagine how this runs on the stinky switch lol.

Well this has exceeded most people's expectations. It has moved from my totally ignore list to my maybe in a sale list.

I've had Mafia 3 in my library since it was with PS Plus years ago. Most likely one of the dozens of games I'll never get round to playing.

So no sign of that Abandoned 'game' then?

Cool, I played the demo for the first game the other day and it was fun, so will give this a go at some point.
