PlayStation Plus is shaping up to have one of its strongest years in recent memory, and if you’re currently not subscribed or looking to extend your existing membership – well, now, here’s a deal for you. CD Keys is flogging full 12-month subscription codes for $26.99 – that’s less than half the MSRP of $59.99.
It’s worth noting that these codes will only work on US accounts, so don’t buy it unless you want PS Plus on your American account. Nevertheless, this is one of the cheapest prices we’ve ever seen; it borders on too good to be true, but it’s legit. Remember, even if you already have a PS Plus membership, you can stack subscriptions, so this is still worth getting if you can.
So far, All Free PS Plus Games in 2021 have included the likes of Control: Ultimate Edition, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and Final Fantasy VII Remake. And, if you have a PlayStation 5, you’ll also get access to All PS Plus Collection Games, including the likes of Monster Hunter: World, Days Gone, and God of War. There’s never been a better time to subscribe, to be honest.

Dammit! Just paid $60 a few days ago!
Still, it's a deal at any price.
Wow, great deal! Does anyone know if they email you a code or do they actually mail you a physical card? I’ve never used CDkeys before.
@Th3solution It is usually an email with the code with CD Keys.
@Th3solution whenever I used them it was emailed to me
What’s that in shillings and farthings?
@Abarth_71 @B-I-G-DEVIL @JohnnyShoulder Thanks. I guess I should have looked at the site where it says “Instant Delivery” as the Delivery Option. 😄
Anyone know of the best deal for UK players? Almost time for me to renew.
I always use them. Haven’t payed full price for ps plus in years
@Bigtuna515 Not sure if it's the best, but Shop To has decent discounts on PSN credit usually. Maybe have a gander on there?
This has been a deal for nearly a month. In fact its still available for £18.99 for US accounts.
https://www.cdkeys.com/1-year-playstation-plus-membership-ps3-ps4-ps-vita-digital-code?mw_aref=74dth566
That's a great deals, I usually got psplus on cdkeys about $30
@LordSteev Don't pay full price for psplus, just bookmark cdkeys.com and buy it there. Usually 1 year psplus is only about $30 there.
@get2sammyb Seems like quite a deal. I was about to pull the trigger to buy the sub from Amazon for the regular price, this way I'd be able to get 2 years worth for less than the price of 1 year. I should hopefully have a PS5 within that time. Has anyone ever had any problems activating a USA PS Plus code from CDKeys outside of the US? I'm in Barbados and I've always bought PS Plus for my US account from Amazon with no issues, but CDKeys shows a warning that I wouldn't be able to activate the code in Barbados.
@Bigtuna515 keep an eye out on the HUKD website or app. Set up an alert for when someone posts a deal.
@Turismo4GT as long as your account is American the code should work. The warning is because it sees you are outside of America so thinks you need a different region code.
@wiiware
Thanks! I'll keep that in mind for next year.
Still, even at full price, I feel like I've already gotten my moneys worth in free games alone. Once Factions comes out, I imagine I'll get a good deal of online time, too.
@Hyperluminal
HUKD is indeed very handy. There are a couple of people who post there who always provide details of all the PSN sales, often a day in advance. It’s actually even easier to browse than PS Prices.
@B-I-G-DEVIL ok, thanks for that
@Bigtuna515 Shop To have reduced their price to £39.85 for a 1 year sub.
Thanks. My 1 year isn't up until June 3rd but at that price I should pick it up now. Also planning on getting a PS5 around then for Ratchet & Clank. Still hoping for a bundle, either from Sony or in a store - "Buy a PS5 get R&C for $10 off" kind of thing. $70 is kind of YIKES for R&C for me. Hopefully they have enough stock by then.
I will get a 1 year psplus on ebay for 31$ today.i already got one for November 2021.that one will add it to 2022.the psplus have been amazing.word up son
Will this work in canada?
Yes it's the cheapest price yet for 1 year US PS Plus, but not by much for CD Keys. They usually sell it for 29-31$ all year round.
Myself I've bought 2 of 1 year US subscriptions from them, one in July 2020 for 30.5$ and one in Nov 2020 for 29.8$. The last one was a surprise, it came with a 3 months bonus that was not mentioned on their site (15 months instead of 12).
And since they all add up, I'm good 'till 2023
With the risk of sounding like a commercial, i highly recommend the site, they are very reliable. I also bought from them PS Store Wallet Top Ups and a PS Now 1 Year US Subscription for ~40$. Not to mention a lot of PC games. Never had a problem with any of the key codes i received, not once.
I even returned a GTA V key (without activating it) and they refunded the money in a few days.
@Vacuumator yeah. Its worth keeping an eye on. Sites like this post deals too late.
Nabbed it and topped off! Thanks for the heads up!
Frankly, if PS Plus keeps up the current quality then GamePass will no longer be able to lay claim to the "best deal in gaming" moniker!
Thanks for the info!! Instantly followed the link and bought it.. glad I waited.. I paid via PayPal, they sent the link to my email, hit download inside the email, and hit ‘show code’ on the website.. then put it in manually in the PS Store under ‘Redeem Code’ at the bottom.. so happy thanks again guys
Damm in the UK so useless for me but great for other players in the US.
Looked up CDkeys bc/ I was curious. Seems legit for a "gray/grey market" site.
https://thelegality.com/reviews/is-cdkeys-legit/
Forgive me but what happens if you miss the free games on PS plus, the ones added from months ago, are they gone forever?
@Deanster101 pretty much, if you don't add them to your library within the time they're available, they're gone.
@rjejr I've used CD Key a bunch of times and I've never gotten a faulty key. They're safe. Just use PayPal at checkout to play it safe.
Thats amazing, I just tried 2 weeks PS+ (UK) for £0.99
Finished Control and Crash Bandicoot Trilogy. Playing Days Gone which i love, unfortunately wont be able to finish it lol.
1 year for UK is currently for £40, if it goes down to £30 I'm all in!
@B_Lindz But then you're assuming I trust Paypal. 😉
I've made it this far though life w/o Paypal, Venmo or Zelle, don't see me starting now. And binge watching Mr. Robot scared me off crypto. 😂
First time I buy from here, I thought I got a good deal last year when I bought a year of ps plus for like forty something dollars at Best Buy. I just bought this one and got the code instantly. Such a great deal!
@Turismo4GT yeah thought that might be the case, I don't quite understand articles that say PS Plus is much better now? It will only be better for long standing members who've had the historical advantage of reserving/downloading all these games over a long time.
Wow £18.99 thats basically 9 months free!
Edit: shamefully can't even get this price for the UK version. £43.99 for the UK one.
@LordSteev Yeah the value is great especially if you have ps5, I rarely play online but getting new/newish games like bugsnax, maneater and oddworld soulstorms on psplus is nice. And there's the additional psn discount, good stuff.
@wiiware
Agree. Doing some basic math, at $70 for a new game, times 2, times 12, wow, $1,540 worth of free games at MSRP, not even counting any super deals you get from the store or any online time you spend in games. Don't see ever ending this subscription.
@LordSteev Well, you are rarely getting 2 $70 games, but it still definitely more than pays for itself.
@Batty5
The higher I can make that number, the better I feel about my purchase!
Nice! My PS Plus needs to be resubscribed in a month, and I was thinking I might not bother, especially as I have Game Pass now. But at 27 bucks, another year seems totally worth it.
@NOLIMITGHST Same here. I always buy it as close to $30 as possible, so the moment I saw it here for $27? Yeah, I had to buy it.
@rjejr At least with PayPal you are covered in most circumstances if anything does go wrong. I've been using them for well over a decade and not had any problems with them. Sometimes you need to take off that tin foil hat.
@JohnnyShoulder It's not a matter of a tinfoil hat, I know all about Paypal and how it's been around since the birth of eBay, it's a matter of more things to keep track of - accounts, passwords, $. I don't think I've ever encountered anything that I needed a Paypal account for that I couldn't use a credit card for, so why bother? I've had things go wrong w/ credit cards before, and so far at least, knock on wood, they've always been solved w/o any cost to myself other than time. So tell me why I need a Paypal account?
I could make a similar argument that people w/ a Paypal account are the ones wearing the tinfoil hats b/c they are afraid the banks are tracking their credit card info and selling it to Bezos and Gates. 🤷♂️
Tried picking this up and it is not working..anyone else have this problem?
@rjejr @JohnnyShoulder eh, I've been screwed over by PayPal so I mean, it can happen. Mind you this way in like '03 and I'm sure their policies have evolved but, I steer clear personally.
That said, don't know if anyone else uses a credit union but last time I used CDkeys I was charged a fee because they aren't located in the US. It was fairly negligible, the fee, but just thought I'd give folks a heads up.
@rjejr Some people don't have or want (like myself) a credit card so PayPal is a good modern day alternative. Mainly because I don't trust sites with my banking details as I had about five hundred quid fraudulently taken from my account a few years ago, so am extra careful since. The company I work with we have to deal with people on a daily basis that have their credit card used fraudulently, so forgive for not trusting the system. I didn't really come on here to try and sell it anyone or get into the politics of why someone shouldn't or should use the service, and I don't get what your issue is with.
@zupertramp Funny you should mention the CDkeys fee b/c I thought Paypal also charged a fee. Probably only the business end and not to the consumer, like most credit card transactions, but I didn't look into it b/c I'm not in the market for a Paypal account anyway.
@JohnnyShoulder I don't really have anything against Paypal, just seems like an extra step when I already have a credit card that can do all the same stuff.
I was reacting more to your "tinfoil hat" comment, like there is something wrong w/ me b/c I don't use Paypal when it's really just b/c I don't feel like it. Just like you don't feel like using a credit card. I know you typed the winky emoji but those don't come through in email so I read your comment w/o it and reacted. 🤷♂️
@rjejr Yeah it was only meant in a jokingly way and not to be taken seriously.
@JohnnyShoulder Yeah, I finally figured it out, eventually.
But since I'm back here, I tried 3x to order it today but it never went thtu., not sure why. They did reply to my email in a few minutes so that was good at least. Not sure why. It's a new credit card, possible I forgot to authorize it. Always something.
@rjejr It might not be it, but multiple purchases for the same amount are a flag to the bank for fraudulent transactions. I see it all the time at work, and our account contact at the bank will usually email in to speak to the cardholder and confirm if there were genuine transactions.
@rjejr it's more a fee that the bank charges, just to clarify. Also banks can be finicky when it comes to unusual purchases (especially online) so I could see your initial attempt not going through for that reason, and then subsequent attempts being denied because of what Johnny said.
Or could be the card authorization thing.
@QueenOfHearts38 The keys do work for Canadians. I just bought one tonight and it worked fine.
@zupertramp @JohnnyShoulder Thanks again. I tried again last night on my tablet before going to bed, same error as my PC, though I do use Chrome on both, just easier that way. And my card worked ok pumping gas today, so it probably is authorized. I just never authorized a card thru the app before, I've always called. But since I had the app already installed figured I'd try.
Just tried again w/ Edge. $26.99 on the page, $29.79 in the cart. How the frak does that even happen!?!?!
@rjejr accounting for tax i presume?
@zupertramp Tax is always a good assumption. Except -
When I tried it 3x yesterday, the cart price was always the same as the board price.
The page price listed the price as 60% off, but in the cart price it said 50% off, accounting for the cart price.
I'm in NY, tax has always bene the bane of my existence. Was my bane IRL, when Amazon added it, when Newegg added it. There's always a tax. First world problems I guess.
I've given up on CDkeys, I'll wait for a $30 sale on Newegg, it'll come.
On a related note - can't recall if it was you or the other person - setting up a Paypal account for my son so he can do some $5 monthly Minecraft server thing w/ his friends. Karma. 😂
@rjejr that figures. the part about PayPal i mean.
Not sure what's going on with cdkeys then. But yeah, when saving a couple bucks becomes too much a hassle, it's hardly worth it.
@zupertramp Speaking of hassle, when I emailed CDkeys about the price discrepancy, including that photo, they sent me back this lengthy email.

@rjejr ah the automated boilerplate response. Always so helpful.
@zupertramp " automated boilerplate response"
Exactly again. 👍😉
I signed up for a Playstation credit card today on Facebook. Probably a bogus ad and I'm compromised now. 😝 $50 credit on PSN after my first use, $75 game after $500 in 2 months. Doubt I'll get both but if I get the $50 I can buy a year of SP+. Otherwise R&C. I'm done w/ CD keys. Done done done.
@zupertramp So how do you feel about 3 month old post replies?
Just to follow up I got my Playstation credit card, got my $50 PSN digital credit, that I used to buy Immortals Fenxy Rising Complete (Deluxe?) $100 option for $50, so $5 in tax, and I also have up to $75 credit to use on the PHYSICAL Sony store for a physical disc. But every 1 I want is always sold out. It's good for 6 months so I'll wait to see if I can find a PS5.
Not a bad credit card sign up, about $125. Still no Paypal though. 😂
@rjejr there's a PlayStation credit card? How did I miss that? Anyway sounds like a good deal overall. I'll look into it.
Just fyi there's this site called Raise that sells gift cards at a discount and occasionally they have good deals on psn cards. You can set up alerts and such. No PayPal required.
@zupertramp PS credit card. Sony too. I actually had a Sony a few years back that I cancelled when I got the Playstation. I chose the R&C pic and now I can't get a PS5 to play the game. 😢
https://www.rewards.sony.com/creditcardoffers?pcc=1536FPPZ&offerlink=PSC50PSNPAID21&
Googled Raise. Those boilerplate white websites give me the hebe jebes. I do think I'm skipping the 20% off offer from Sony for now. If I really need to play an old PS+ game I'll just hit up my public library instead, nice PS4 and Switch game selection.
@rjejr totally understand your hesitation but I have spent several hundred buying up gift cards for various things (Krispy Kreme, Guitar Center, Netflix, Best Buy, Nintendo, PlayStation store) and I've never been burned. Even found a really good deal on a Spotify sub only to learn that Spotify wouldn't allow me to apply the credit to their family plan but after talking to Raise customer service they actually refunded me.
But if it's not your thing, it's not your thing and that's cool. There are some things I just don't fudge with either as they are just outside of my comfort zone.
And yeah, we'll get A PS5 someday. I'm sure of it. The local sellers in my area are letting them go for around $800 now which is still stupid money for a console if you ask me but there's definitely been a decrease in scalper prices. Which must mean something.
