Re: Poll: Are You Spending More Time Gaming Because of the Coronavirus Lockdown?

Dange

Finished Shenmue 3 and the main story of God of War. Incredible game. Still got loads of side missions so I'm far from done with it.

Played loads of community levels for Dreams. I regularly play Apex online with the misses and mates. And lastly, I also got Tetris Effect the other day in the sale. Great game to chill out with after the kids are in bed. I think that's a nice bit of variety in my games diet.

Next up, back to Death Stranding. Then maybe Witcher 3 hopefully.

Re: PSN Continues to Cope Admirably with Coronavirus Crisis

Dange

I'm personally well set for staying at home (mortgage holiday FTW) Besides family time, I'm using the free time to catch up on my ridiculous backlog. It's well over 100 games so I'm not gonna run out of stuff to play any time soon.

Just finished Shenmue 3 yesterday. Now playing God of War. Beautiful game so far. When I'm done with this I'm back to Death Stranding.

Also playing Dreams, which I love. I find it's a great game to dip in and play a few different short games when I have a spare 20 minutes. My play time for that last I checked is around 74 hours which is insane. I've played 1200+ community games in Dreams so far 😲 but barely touched the creation tools yet.

Then my online game of choice is Apex Legends. I'm not very good at it, but me and the misses love playing that when the kids are in bed. Annoyingly though shes better than me. I put it down to the fact that Apex is pretty much all she plays. Whereas I mix it up a bit more. That's my excuse anyways.

Right back to God of War while the girls are watching Disney +

Re: Don't Worry, You Don't Need PS Plus to Play Call of Duty: Warzone

Dange

@lessthanleo I'm worried about this. Currently got mine downloading but my Pro fan does have a tendency to overheat to the point that I can't even hear the dialogue with the TV volume on high. I cleaned it inside a few weeks ago but it's made no difference at all. I don't think it's got long left. This game could be the one to finish it.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima Release Date Confirmed for June 2020

Dange

So hyped for this game. Seriously, it looks insanely good in every way.

I'm gonna skip any future trailers on this from now until release.. Already buying the game, so I don't need any more.

With this, Dreams, TLoU2, and FF7 Remake to name a few, the PS4 really is going out with a bang this year.

Re: Hands On: Forget the Netflix of Games, Dreams Is the YouTube of Games

Dange

I've put about 30 hours into the game so far and about 90% of that is dreamsurfing. It's a game I'll never sell (it's a digital copy so I can't sell it 😆 but I mean I wouldn't if I could) The content getting added is so good now.

I fully agree with calling it YouTube of games. Dreams is amazing and it's only gonna get better over time.

I just hope it sells well enough for Sony to continue funding the game long term.

Re: Dreams - Media Molecule's Magnum Opus Is One of PS4's Absolute Best

Dange

This is a real time sink game. I get lost dreamsurfing in the same way I can get lost on YouTube on some random video. It's awesome. (An example is I somehow ended up playing classic Pong yesterday).

People really seem to have a good grip on the creation now. I just wish I had the time and talent to attempt some of that stuff.

Re: No, PS5 Backwards Compatibility with PS3, PS2, and PS1 Games Has Not Been Confirmed

Dange

It'd be nice for the PS5 to play everything. But something that isn't really mentioned is that a large amount of PlayStation classics have been remastered on the PS4, so they'll work on the PS5 regardless of PS1, PS2 or PS3 compatibility.

I'm sure you all know them but think games like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro trilogy, GTA5, GOW3, The Uncharted games, The Last of Us, Shadow of the Colossus, WipEout Omega Collection, Borderlands Collection, Burnout Paradise, Bioshock Collection, Final Fantasy games, Journey, Resident Evil games. ETC... All of these are PS4 games but not really.

Obviously it's not every game but I thought it's worth mentioning that PS5 just having PS4 BC adds an amazing selection of older games.

Re: Marvel's Iron Man VR the Latest PS4 Game to Receive Delay

Dange

This is awesome news to me. I am really enjoying this cluster of games getting spread out a bit more evenly throughout the year. A few weeks before TLOU2 is much better than being sandwiched between TLOU2, FF7 and Cyberpunk. I'm still enjoying my backlog of games anyways.

Strangely I'm always happy when I see a game I'm interested in getting delayed. It tells me they are serious about getting it right out of the gate.

Re: PSVR Reaches Sales Milestone of 5 Million Units

Dange

@koaeinferno A PS4 game that sells 5+ million is generally considered a success. And games cost £50. PSVR sells for around £200 (half the headsets shelf life it was over £300).

Don't forget this is the first generation of VR just finding a market. Not a well established 7th or 8th console gen. 5 million is nothing to be sniffed at.

Re: Game of the Year: Sammy's Top 5 PS4 Games of 2019

Dange

Still gotta pick up Days Gone and Blood and Truth. I'll definitely be getting that shortly in the psn sale.

I wont do a top five but this year I've really enjoyed Alex Legends, Shenmue 3 and Death Stranding. All of which I'm still playing.

Re: Game of the Decade: Grand Theft Auto V Set the Precedent for Persistent Online Worlds

Dange

Bought and still own GTA5 but if I'm honest I've hardly played it. It's one of them games I regret getting away from me.

It's shameful but although I've bought every GTA game, (Even GTA London on the PS1) I don't think I've ever completed a single one. I used to always get side tracked messing around in the open world. And then some other beautiful looking single player game would come along and grab my attention. 😍

Re: Shenmue III - An Impossible Sequel That's Enjoyable Against All Odds

Dange

@Get2sammyb Great review, I've been patiently looking forward to it and from what I've played so far (10-12 hours) I'd say it's spot on with my opinion. Can I ask, how long did the game take to finish including all the in game jobs, tasks and mini games?

On a separate note my 4 year old Daughter loves Shenmue 3. She's mesmerized watching me play it and enjoys playing the mini games. Especially chopping wood for the shopkeepers 😀

Re: Site News: Welcome to Our End of Year Bonanza

Merry Christmas and thanks to all the Push Square staff for the amazing work you do throughout the year. Enjoy a well earned break.

Merry Christmas to the community. The life and soul of this site. Hope you all have a well rested and happy holiday with friends and family.

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake 2 Is Now in Active Development

Dange

@Porco But doing that you'll be playing a 5+ year old game that way. Rather than a cutting edge game which it'll be on release next year. Just wait for a decent sale on each one. You'll get the games cheaper and you won't have to wait until the game(s) are graphically outdated.
