Very happy this isn't getting destroyed. It's a beautiful game I'm enjoying taking my time and enjoying it's funny quirks and flaws. It's exactly what I was hoping for and better than I honestly expected when this was announced on the Kickstarter.
I'm surprised we've not had a price reduction this year. I'm not talking about bundles but a full RRP reduction. It's about time considering the PS5 is only a year away and a Pro still retails at £349 (not including deals etc).
I loved Shenmue on the Dreamcast. Replaying on PS4 last year was like revisiting my past in a good way.
Had a quick go on Shenmue 3 last night and it was glorious. (I enjoyed the recap of the first two games, nice touch). Can't wait to get back from work and put some serious time in. Definitely gonna take my time with this.
Unfortunately as much as I'm enjoying it, Death Stranding has had to take a back seat for the time being. I've waited many years for this.
Very excited for this. Trailer goods good. Waited so many years for this. As a Kickstarter backer I'm anxiously waiting for a confirmation email that the game has been dispatched.
I literally compared these two games to a mate the other day. It's obviously a completely different game but I definitely see a couple of similarities. I also get a bit of a Journey feel too playing Death Stranding. Can't wait to play more.
Very happy to see this doing well in its first week. I'd love to know digital numbers too. It bodes well for future Kojima collaborations with Sony. Do we have have US numbers?
I think it'll be a free-to-play online game completely separate from TLOU2 but set in the same world. Sort of like how Apex is set in the Titanfall universe.
I don't think 2020 is over hyped at all. The Last of Us 2, Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Ghosts of Tsushima are massive to me.
I think 2019 has been a good year.
Death Stranding, Shenmue 3, Days Gone, Apex Legends, Control, Concrete Genie, Erica, Jedi Fallen Order, Blood and Truth, Resident Evil 2 Remake, Ace Combat 7, and a return to form of sorts for COD: Modern Warfare.
Granted not all of them listed are true AAA games, but it's got some great variety. I've found it hard to keep up with releases. If this is an off year I'll happily take it.
With all the big games coming in 2020, and a huge back catalogue of PS4 content, what an awesome time to be a gamer.
Really interesting read. Couldn't agree more. I get that everyone has different tastes but people really can be there own worst enemy sometime. Wanting new and exciting ideas then dismissing them.
I feel like gamers should be at the forefront of interest in innovative ideas but it just isn't the case for many.
Personally I find I have to talk friends into content rather than share in the hype. Myself I love new and exciting games and tech. What can ya do.
@kyleforrester87 Because I value certain sites over others. For my own reasons. And I've seen and read enough to know this is probably a game suited to my tastes not necessarily IGN's etc.
As good as Im sure it'll be, I'm actually more excited for the upcoming PS4 games than Next gen at the moment. I'm sure that'll change as we get all the announcements but I'm in no rush.
Death Stranding, Cyberpunk 2077, Shenmue 3 (I still can't believe it's actually happening).Final Fantasy 7 Remake too.The Last of Us 2. And Ghosts of Tsushima. The PS4 is seriously going out with a bang.
For so many reasons I love the end of a console gen cycle the most. This gen probably more than ever.
This is getting silly now. We used to get reviews a month before games released then a week before, a few days, one day. Now a week later. To be clear this is obviously not Pushsquares fault. I will wait for your review (and a couple of others) to make up my mind.
Strange to be delayed now as mentioned but I'm actually happy about this. It's gonna give a few other games room to breathe. Also, the extra polish can only help.
Annoyingly though, I've just started replaying TLoU in preparation for 2. I should have waited until nearer the release date.
Very excited for this but the release date is terrible. Sandwiched between The Last of Us 2 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake. I know they aren't VR games but VR or not, it's all PS4 content. People only have so much money. Something's gotta give.
This looks super clever, I hope Sony go with something like this (also with anologue sticks on the VR controllers, bigger FOV and a better resolution would be nice)
For now, I'm happy with with the regular PSVR for a couple of years. Maybe once the PS5 is out and established they can get something like this released for a reasonable price.
Lastly I feel like with the PS5 being compatible with the PSVR1 it buys them some time, but hopefully not too long.
@Gatatog Imagine not having to re-buy games when you upgrade to a PS5 and your games just look nicer. It's expensive enough having to buy a new console as it is without having to re-buy (not very) old games every gen upgrade.
@get2sammyb If it's on PS4 it'll be cross-gen out the gate. I know what you mean but I'd assume it'll just look nicer on a PS5 in the same way a Pro game looks nicer than on a standard PS4.
Thinking about it, this really is a bad launch date. February is super crowded. It feels like they're sending this out to die for some reason. I mean why not release the back end of March which is relatively quiet until Cyberpunk 2077 launches mid April.
I personally am excited for this game but VR is a pretty small market as it is. Sandwiched between The Last of Us 2 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake seems crazy. I know they're not VR games but I'd think most people who have PSVR play regular PS4 games as well and that's a lot of money to spend in a very short time. I simply can't afford this as well as FF7 and TLoU2.
Pro for me. Although it has always sounded ridiculously loud. Especially when I'm playing Dreams. I'm actually scared to play that for fear of bricking my PS4.

Re: Death Stranding - Hideo Kojima's Next Revolutionary Masterpiece
@Nyne11Tyme Definitely not perfect scores across the board. I've only paid real attention to this site and TSA but a quick look on Metacritic and..
Pushsquares 10/10
Trusted Reviews 10/10
Thesixthaxis 10/10,
Screen Rant 10/10,
Gaming Trend 10/10
EGM 10/10
Gaming Age 10/10
To name some of them. So this is definitely not the only place you'll find a 10.
