Shenmue III DLC

When we heard that Shenmue III would be getting multiple pieces of DLC after its November 2019 launch, this isn't exactly what we had in mind. The game's first slice of downloadable content comes to PlayStation 4 next week on Tuesday 21st January, and it literally has protagonist Ryo Hazuki competing in races.

Announced on Twitter, the Battle Rally expansion consists of various races across China with different lengths of track used to switch up gameplay. The DLC "offers fresh gaming activities in a race unlike any other, as contestants engage in head-to-head battles whilst racing their way through the course", claims publisher Koch Media. You'll be able to fill the shoes of Ryo Hazuki or change lanes and control either Wuying Ren or Wei Zhen. Weird, right? We're sure Push Square editor Sammy Barker is still hyped, however.
