We’re wise to your tricks, Limited Run Games.
We knew when the Marvel MaXimum Collection was announced late last month, its release date wouldn’t be too far away. This is a tactic it’s been leveraging for a little time now.
And right we are, because the compilation – which features Konami’s iconic X-Men arcade game – is due out in just a few days, on 27th March for the PS5.
As a reminder, this release features a grab bag of superhero classics, spanning various developers, publishers, and even consoles.

Like, seriously, this must have been a licensing nightmare, so get it before it’s inevitably delisted in the not-too distant future.
Here’s the lineup, in case you missed the original announcement:
- Captain America and the Avengers (Arcade, Genesis, NES)
- Silver Surfer (NES)
- Spider-Man and the X-Men in Arcade’s Revenge (SNES, Genesis, Game Gear, Game Boy)
- Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage (SNES, Genesis)
- Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety (SNES, Genesis)
- X-Men: The Arcade Game (Arcade)
All of the games will be enhanced with contemporary quality-of-life improvements, like save states and rewind. The aforementioned X-Men arcade game will also feature online co-op with rollback netcode, which is nice.
