Ask anyone what the best Soulslike game not made by FromSoftware is, and Lies of P will always be amongst the first responses. The excellent quality of the base game and last year's Overture expansion has made it a big sales success, with publisher Neowiz reporting the title has now surpassed four million units.
This is according to the company's latest sales count, but since it launched straight onto Xbox Game Pass and was part of PS Plus Essential last year, it'll have been downloaded and played by even more players.
The game's Overture DLC released in June 2025, and Neowiz states that its launch led to a "second wave" of popularity for Lies of P in general. The expansion was highly rated at the time, achieving a Metacritic score of 85.
Another statistic in Neowiz's Q4 2025 earnings results presentation reveals 90% of the total revenue Lies of P generated came from Western markets.
In the future, we already know the publisher has greenlit a Lies of P sequel from Round8 Studio, and also has new projects from Weird West team Wolfeye Studios and Zakazane Studio in the works. The latter is working on a "noir west CRPG", while Wolfeye has a "retro sci-fi first-person RPG" in production.
